Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1611: Chapter 807: New Beginnings

Hugh Redman was in a terrible mood.

The way things turned out was completely beyond his expectations.

His agent also scolded him for being impulsive.

Hugh Redman didn’t think he did anything wrong, but to be honest, he felt a bit regretful inside.

If he hadn’t thrown that punch, none of this trouble would be happening now.

Clearly, he was at a point where his future looked extremely promising.

Hugh Redman didn’t want to see anyone right now, so he stayed in the hotel, avoiding everyone.

Too many people were criticizing him.

He didn’t even dare to go online, but he couldn’t help wanting to know what the situation was like online now, so he would log in and see what was going on.

Each time, he would be provoked by a lot of comments.

Almost no one cared about the truth. That was his feeling.

He explained repeatedly, telling people why he acted the way he did, but they ignored it and kept insulting him as a violent person.

Every time Hugh Redman saw that word, a fire ignited within him, wanting to destroy something.

Hugh Redman felt that no one else could understand his mood and state.

Suddenly, his phone pinged.

Someone had sent him a message. ℯℯ𝑙.

Yesterday, people were constantly messaging him, encouraging or supporting him, but today, fewer people sent him messages.

As public opinion increasingly turned against Hugh Redman, everyone became more reluctant to contact him.

He didn’t know that in China there’s a saying ”people leave, tea cools,” though it wasn’t quite applicable here; it’s just that today, he somewhat felt that way.

To his surprise, it was Zhou Yun who sent the message.

”I’m waiting for you in the hotel lobby.”

Hugh Redman was stunned.

On the first floor of the hotel, in the lobby.

Nakajima Hoto looked anxiously at Zhou Yun, asking, ”Xiao Yun, do you think Hugh will come down?”

Zhou Yun shook her head, saying, ”I don’t know, let’s wait and see. If he doesn’t come down, we’ll go up and knock on his door. No matter what, we can’t let him stay in the room alone.”

Nakajima Hoto nodded, saying, ”Sigh, I don’t understand why those media outlets ignore right and wrong. We’ve made the facts clear, but it’s like they don’t see it at all.”

”It’s not that they don’t see, it’s that they don’t care.” Zhou Yun said, ”Look, how many people pay attention to Hugh Redman getting into a fight at the bar.”

”Unfortunately, we don’t have too many fans here to help spread the truth.”

”I don’t think it’s about spreading the truth; it’s that those authoritative media have selectively reported only the unfavorable truths about Hugh Redman.” Zhou Yun said, ”They’re not slandering Hugh, but they’ve omitted the parts favorable to him, focusing only on the parts that are unfavorable, with content and direction full of bias.”

At this moment, Hugh Redman finally came down.

He looked at the expressions of the two of them, which were a bit complex, and asked, ”Why did you ask me to come down?”

Zhou Yun said, ”You probably haven’t had dinner, have you?”

Hugh Redman frowned.

”What?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Neither have we. Let’s have dinner together.”

Hugh Redman shook his head, saying, ”I’m not hungry, you go eat yourselves.”

”Hugh, do you not want to continue being friends with us anymore?” Zhou Yun asked directly.

Hugh Redman turned incredulously to look at her, saying, ”Zhou Yun, that’s a really messed up thing to say! Do you think I’m being attacked by so many people right now for no reason?”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”I know, that’s why we two cannot just sit back and do nothing for you, especially since you haven’t even had dinner and are locking yourself alone in the hotel room.”

Hugh Redman was quite impatient.

”This is my own business.”

”You’re a man, can’t you be a bit more magnanimous? Stop throwing a tantrum like a kid. No matter what happens, you still need to eat.” Zhou Yun said, ”Let’s find a restaurant, sit down, and talk properly. This incident isn’t just your issue; Nakajima Hoto and I also want to help you. Or do you think we can’t help you?”

Hugh Redman was practically ”morally coerced” into going to the restaurant by Zhou Yun.

So, after sitting down in the restaurant, Hugh Redman’s face still showed some impatience.
