Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1618: Chapter 808: Berlin Film Festival Scheduling (13,000-Word Update)_6

”No problem, there will be opportunities in the future.” After he finished speaking, he turned to Zhou Lan with a smile, ”Zhou Yun is also filming in Australia, right? Will you go see her?”

”Yes,” Zhou Lan nodded, ”She’s filming alone over there, I’m quite worried. I heard from Xiaoyun that she pulls Xiaoyun into the room every night to rehearse lines. She hasn’t worked this hard on her lines for a long time, so the shoot must be quite stressful.”

Lin Zhiping: ”With an international big production and being in a foreign environment, it’s natural for the pressure to be high.”

”Is your work usually stressful? How do you usually relieve stress?”

”Me?” Lin Zhiping said, ”Exercise, or go to exhibitions.”

”What kind of exhibitions do you like to see?”

”I don’t really have a preference. When I’m really irritated and can’t calm down, I find an exhibition to check out,” Lin Zhiping explained, ”Not out of any particular hobby.”

”I see.” Zhou Lan smiled and nodded.

Suddenly, the phone rang.

Zhou Lan took it out to see, it was Liu Qidong calling.

Zhou Lan answered the call and asked, ”Hey, Qidong, are you looking for me?”

Liu Qidong couldn’t hold back his excitement and said, ”Sister Lan, Liang Yuanpu agreed to star in our film!”

Zhou Lan was stunned.

”Really?” She sat up excitedly.

Liu Qidong said, ”I just left his house, he wants us to contact his company tomorrow to sign the contract.”

Zhou Lan was overjoyed.

”Great, great, no problem, I’ll prepare the contract here, congratulations!” She said happily, ”We actually got him!”

Liu Qidong excitedly chatted for a while on the other end of the phone.

After hanging up, Zhou Lan’s face lit up with joy.

Seeing her like this, Lin Zhiping asked, ”What’s the good news that’s making you so happy?”

Zhou Lan said, ”Liang Yuanpu agreed to join ’Child of Prophecy.’ This film is a project led by me and Xiao Yun.”

Upon hearing Liang Yuanpu’s name, Lin Zhiping let out a wow.

He said, ”Is he going to be the lead?”

”Oh, no. He’s playing a major antagonist,” Zhou Lan said, ”The lead is a newcomer actor I work with, Huang Zicheng. You probably don’t know him.”

Lin Zhiping shook his head and said, ”I don’t know him indeed. But, would Liang Yuanpu be willing to play a supporting role to a newcomer? Aren’t actors usually very concerned about their billing order?”

”Liang Yuanpu has reached a stage where he doesn’t care about billing anymore,” Zhou Lan said, ”His status in the worldly society, regardless of who else appears, he’s already the top actor of his era, unshakeable by anyone.”

”Alright then.”

Zhou Lan: ”What I’ve been talking about probably doesn’t interest you much, right? It’s all entertainment industry stuff.”

”No, I’m not very familiar with your industry, but it’s quite interesting to hear you talk about it,” Lin Zhiping said.

Zhou Lan: ”The things in our industry aren’t really any different from other industries, it’s just that with the flashlights and cameras, it gets a lot more attention.”

”Indeed, there’s nothing new under the sun.”

”Hey, by the way, I’ve always wanted to ask, don’t you interact with female celebrities much? Isn’t there anyone in your sphere doing this kind of brokerage?”

Lin Zhiping said, ”I’ve met some, but I’m not interested in this kind of thing. I’m more inclined towards a more serious relationship.”

Zhou Lan: ”Really?”

”Really,” Lin Zhiping said, ”You have to believe, not every man is what everyone assumes.”

Zhou Lan laughed.

In the evening, after Zhou Lan and Lin Zhiping finished watching a movie, a call came through at a perfect gap.

It was the head of the PR group.

They said that over a dozen Hollywood media outlets reported thirty minutes ago about Hugh Redman getting into a bar fight, directly placing Hugh Redman onto the trending topics on Twitter. What’s more, almost every report mentions other actors from ’Killing Song,’ including Zhou Yun, Chris Pine, and Nakajima Hoto, and included photos, in which Zhou Yun’s face is very clear.

Lin Zhiping asked, ”Should I take you home?”

Zhou Lan said helplessly, ”I’ll have to trouble you to take me back to the company.”

”Hmm, is there an emergency that requires overtime?” Lin Zhiping asked.

Zhou Lan nodded and said, ”Yes, I have to work overtime.”

Lin Zhiping nodded and drove Zhou Lan back to the company.

”Let me know when you’re done, I’ll pick you up,” Lin Zhiping said.

”No need, you should go home and rest, don’t wait for me,” Zhou Lan said, ”I might not even go home tonight, things are quite blown up.”
