Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1608: Chapter 806: Occurrence (Ten-Thousand-Word Update!)_5

She really didn’t expect that George Hardy had even watched ”Warm Little Horse”.

Many overseas film fans don’t know about this movie.

”I’m your loyal fan, we must collaborate and star in a movie together in the future. Promise me, okay?” George Hardy suddenly looked deeply at Zhou Yun and asked.

Zhou Yun was caught off guard by his sudden remark.

George Hardy laughed heartily again.

”I know you have a partner, all right, I won’t joke about it, I’m serious. In the future, we should find a good script and collaborate once, what do you think?” he said.

Zhou Yun nodded, ”Sure, that sounds good.”

”I’ve always wanted to shoot a movie in China,” George Hardy said, ”I’ve been to China three times, but I’ve never filmed there.”

Zhou Yun: ”If you want to make a movie in China, I’ll recommend suitable roles for you in the future.”

”Then it’s settled,” George Hardy said.

”Okay.”

Watching George Hardy leave, Zhou Yun turned around and was about to ask Tim Lang what they needed to shoot next when she noticed Nakajima Hoto looking at her with a hint of envy.

As she turned around, Nakajima Hoto withdrew her gaze.

Tim Lang said, ”George has long wanted to meet you. After he found out I was directing ’Killing Song’, he came to find me.”

...

China.

Zhou Lan confirmed the contents of the statement with the PR team, ensuring there were no errors, and sent it to Zhou Yun’s email, reminding her to check it.

After sending the message, she checked the time and realized it was already the time to get off work.

Although in her line of work, there’s basically no concept of working hours—though someone else does.

Zhou Lan put on her coat, touched up her lipstick, and sure enough, Lin Zhiping’s message arrived on schedule: I’m already at the parking lot downstairs at your company.

Zhou Lan replied: OK, coming down right now.

She picked up her bag and stepped out of her office.

”I’m heading off, you guys should rest up soon too,” Zhou Lan said to her colleagues still at their desks.

With a smiling face, she went downstairs and instantly spotted Lin Zhiping’s car in the parking lot.

He was sitting in the car, looking at his tablet without any expression, seemingly working.

Zhou Lan halted a few meters away, gazing at Lin Zhiping at this moment. How to describe it? She found herself easily attracted to focused men, and the moment Lin Zhiping caught her attention was when he was concentrating entirely on something.

Suddenly, Lin Zhiping seemed to sense something, raised his head, and locked eyes with Zhou Lan.

A smile instantly appeared on Zhou Lan’s face as she walked over, opened the passenger door, and sat inside.

”Hi!”

Lin Zhiping said, ”Work went smoothly today? You’re smiling so happily.”

”Yes.” Zhou Lan nodded, ”It went very well.”

Lin Zhiping: ”After dinner tonight, should we go and catch a movie together?”

Zhou Lan nodded, ”Sure.”

”Great, decide what you want to watch,” Lin Zhiping started the car and turned out of the parking lot.

Zhou Lan immediately opened the online ticket platform to check the movies currently showing.

”Oh, Ning Yao’s film ’Treasure’ was released last Friday, I didn’t notice. Are you interested?” Zhou Lan asked, ”She’s playing a woman working at a gambling venue in Xiamen, though it seems to be a romance film.”

Lin Zhiping said, ”Sure, I’m okay with it.”

Zhou Lan: ”Alright, then let’s book this one, the 8:30 showing tonight, okay?”

”Okay.”

”Treasure” is a light-hearted romantic comedy. It has been in theaters for almost a week, but the box office performance has been mediocre, barely reaching a bit over sixty million so far.

For an actress of Ning Yao’s caliber, this box office result is somewhat disappointing and might be considered a flop, which is why Zhou Lan hadn’t heard about the film’s release.

Typically, popular movies are heavily discussed.

However, Zhou Lan noticed the film ”Treasure” has a decent rating of 7.2 on Douban, which is quite good for a domestic light-hearted romantic comedy.

”I have to go on a business trip to Australia in a few days,” Zhou Lan said.

Lin Zhiping asked, ”How many days?”

”I don’t know yet, I need to negotiate a collaboration there, and it will depend on how the talks go,” Zhou Lan said, ”Sorry, I promised to accompany you to Li Yundi’s concert.”
