Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1619: Chapter 808: Berlin Film Festival Scheduled (13,000-Word Update)_7

Lin Zhiping heard this, and had to nod.

Zhou Lan hurriedly returned to the company.

The public relations team colleagues were all in place.

Zhou Lan was amazed and asked, ”How did you all get here so fast? Didn’t you go back?”

”We were coincidentally having a gathering at a restaurant near the company,” the team leader said. ”Sister Lan, take a look, these are the articles that have been officially published.”

The team leader printed all the collected reports and handed them to Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan quickly skimmed through them and said, ”Adjust the statement’s content according to these reports. Emphasize that Hugh Redman was forced to retaliate after the drunken man made the first move to protect the actresses, Xiao Yun and Nakajima Hoto.”

”Got it.”

”Also, have the domestic media been informed in advance?” Zhou Lan was most concerned about domestic rivals exploiting this news to target Zhou Yun.

These news stories can be fabricated, and who knows what kind of mischief they might concoct with these materials.

Zhou Lan checked her email; Zhou Yun hadn’t replied yet.

She had to call Zhou Yun.

Hopefully, Zhou Yun hadn’t gone to sleep yet.

She knew that in recent days during the shooting of this film, Zhou Yun had been sleeping early.

During her film shoots, Zhou Yun always slept early as long as there were no night shoots.

Zhou Yun answered the phone after a while, ”Sister Lan, what’s wrong? I’m in the shower.”

Zhou Lan said, ”Hollywood has reported on Hugh Redman, and the reports are unfavorable for him. They’re saying he caused a scene and fought in a bar.”

Zhou Yun: ”Give me two minutes, I’ll call you back.”

After two minutes, Zhou Yun called back.

”Sister Lan, what’s the situation now? Has Hugh Redman responded?”

Zhou Lan: ”He hasn’t responded yet. Have you communicated with him?”

”He hasn’t been to the set today, and I didn’t see him at the hotel either,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Lan: ”We also shouldn’t hastily issue our statement without him. Let’s wait for his response first.”

Zhou Yun: ”Hmm, the film crew will probably issue a statement too.”

”Alright,” Zhou Lan said. ”We’ll coordinate and issue our statement with them.”

Celebrity fights are natural news hotspots. Once out, they draw attention and spark criticism.

Hugh Redman isn’t unknown in the United States, having some fame, especially as a star in a major IP like Killing Song, attracting media attention, and being part of the list of actors set to explode into stardom.

With Hollywood media coverage, the number of people interested in this issue surged rapidly.

Zhou Yun was quite surprised that even by 11 PM, Hugh Redman’s side hadn’t responded.

The issue continued to ferment.

Before sleeping, over a dozen friends had seen the news and asked her about it.

Zhou Yun replied one by one, not wanting to wait anymore, turned off her phone, and prepared to sleep.

At that moment, Hugh Redman suddenly sent her a message: Xiao Yun, can you help? I would like you to clarify the circumstances for everyone.

Zhou Yun looked at Hugh Redman’s message and replied: Already prepared, waiting for statements from your side and Mélando’s. Let me know if you want me to coordinate with your release or send mine first?

She also sent her statement content to Hugh Redman: Take a look.

Hugh Redman’s side continued showing ”typing...,” but no complete message came through for a long time.

Zhou Yun didn’t know what Hugh Redman was hesitating about.

Half an hour passed, Zhou Yun was almost asleep when her phone vibrated again.

Hugh Redman said: We’ve released our statement, and need you to please further clarify the facts, thanks, Xiao Yun.

Zhou Yun replied with an OK, then sent a message to Zhou Lan: Sister Lan, you can release it now.

Zhou Lan immediately replied: OK.

It was very late here, but not bedtime yet in the United States.

At home... there were even more night owls.

The statement content clearly explained the details of what happened.

Especially Zhou Yun’s statement, which detailed the motivation behind Hugh Redman’s actions.

Right after, Nakajima Hoto’s company also issued a statement on her behalf.
