Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1625: Chapter 809: The World’s Attention (15,000 Words Update!)

Tim Lang saw the situation and could only temporarily set aside the current scene, telling Zhou Yun and Hugh Redman that they wouldn’t be shooting today and would wait until the design was done before filming.

So, after waiting on set for nearly two hours, Zhou Yun and Hugh Redman could return to the hotel to rest.

Tim Lang apologized to the two of them.

Zhou Yun felt a bit unhappy, but chose to respect him.

Tim Lang was also trying to present a better visual.

She understood.

Hugh Redman said: ”I heard someone recommend a restaurant that’s pretty good, ten kilometers away by the seaside. Since we finished early, why don’t we invite some people and go there for dinner?”

Zhou Yun happily said: ”Sure.”

Chris Pine and another American ”tough guy” actor, Luco Evans, both replied they’d join.

Nakajima Hoto, however, apologized, saying: Sorry, everyone, I have a video conference to attend tonight.

In the end, five of them went together, including Lew Xi, just right for one car.

Luco Evans drove.

He’s a big guy, but he’s quiet and doesn’t talk much.

His ”strong build” is his biggest asset as an actor, and most roles he plays are of this type.

Unlike Hugh Redman, Luco Evans isn’t very famous.

Zhou Yun sat in the front passenger seat, while Lew Xi, Hugh Redman, and Chris Pine squeezed in the back.

A few young people going out together are bound to be lively.

Lew Xi appears rather indifferent, but is actually an extroverted and cheerful girl. Once familiar with everyone, she joked and laughed along.

Previously, no one mentioned Jin Zhulin in front of Lew Xi.

Everyone was quite tacit, mainly not wanting the atmosphere to get awkward—if it weren’t for Jin Zhulin’s injury, Lew Xi wouldn’t have replaced her in the crew.

In the car, Lew Xi brought up her joining the crew.

”I was stunned when I got the invitation,” Lew Xi said, ”Before this, I had never acted. When ’Killing Song’ was recruiting actors globally, I sent my profile to Mélando, and it disappeared without a trace. I didn’t hear anything back. Later, when I heard Sister Zhulin was going to play the role, I knew I didn’t stand a chance. I never thought—”

She paused for a moment before continuing, ”Never thought I’d get this opportunity in the end, it was such a surprise.”

Zhou Yun asked: ”Did Tim say you practiced martial arts before?”

”Yes,” Lew Xi nodded, ”My grandfather practiced martial arts, and I learned from him since I was young.”

The others all went ”wow” and immediately said, ”Then you must be professional.”

Lew Xi quickly waved her hand, saying she’s not professional.

Ten kilometers.

When they arrived at the restaurant, the sun hadn’t set yet, but the sky was already tinged with the yellow of dusk.

After getting out of the car, Lew Xi took out her phone and said: ”The sky is so beautiful!”

She took a picture of the sky.

Zhou Yun also thought the sky was beautiful.

She too took out her phone, captured the sky, and sent it to Song Chi.

Suddenly, Lew Xi shouted: ”Sister!”

Zhou Yun didn’t immediately realize Lew Xi was calling her until Hugh Redman nudged her with his elbow.

”She’s calling you.”

Zhou Yun looked up, surprised and slightly confused.

Lew Xi was holding up her phone, pointing it at her.

Zhou Yun snapped out of it and then laughed, winking at the camera.

”Sister, I took a really beautiful picture of you!” Lew Xi exclaimed with delight.

Zhou Yun: ”Really?”

Lew Xi quickly jogged over with her phone, handing it to Zhou Yun to see.

In the photo, the background was almost blurred into just an outline, with a clear and bright halo drawn by the sunset, captured just at the moment she winked, her right eye gently closed, the left eye bright and brilliant.

This momentary look made Zhou Yun lose her focus for a moment.

Completely like a professional photographer’s work.

Zhou Yun was amazed.

”Wow!”

Lew Xi looked at her expectantly, asking: ”How is it? Isn’t it great?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”This is professional level.”

Lew Xi giggled.

Zhou Yun suddenly remembered, yes, Lew Xi is actually a professional model.

Her daily job is shooting, so it’s normal for her to understand photography.

Chris Pine suggested everyone take a group photo.

The few of them stood on a stone path, with Chris Pine holding up his phone for a selfie group photo.
