Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1251: Chapter 674: She Wasn’t Lying to Herself

Song Chi said, ”Sorry, I should have gone to accompany you.”

Zhou Yun: ”I don’t have anything going on, why are you rushing over to accompany me? If people find out, I’ll be ridiculed.”

”It has nothing to do with others; it’s their business how they see it.”

”Really, don’t worry about this; knowing you care about me is enough.” Zhou Yun said, ”Xiaoju told me, right after seeing the news about my injury, the first thing you did was book a ticket to Australia. That’s enough; it’s just a nail injury, I’m not that fragile. Focus on filming. By the way, how’s ’Jiangyun Platform’ going? Can it wrap up in March? Is Zuo Hang still setting the bar high?”

Song Chi: ”I don’t know, it’s all still uncertain right now.”

Zhou Yun could hear the frustration in Song Chi’s tone.

She said, ”Don’t worry, it will get finished eventually. You’re satisfied with what’s been filmed so far, aren’t you?”

”Xiao Yun, I don’t need you to comfort me now.” Song Chi said helplessly.

He realized Zhou Yun’s intention.

”Why can’t you just, at times, cooperate with me in understanding?” Zhou Yun complained lightly, ”In any case, I really don’t need you to come over, I’m happily filming.”

Song Chi: ”Alright then.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I’ll hang up now; I still need to call Yuk Chu to check on her situation. I didn’t expect this would cause her to end up in the hospital and even get photographed looking pregnant.”

Song Chi: ”Your studio already released a statement about Yuk Chu’s pregnancy. The topic is trending online now, but mostly with positive blessings, so you don’t need to worry too much for her.”

”Okay.”

After hanging up the phone, Zhou Yun went online to look at the domestic discussion about Yuk Chu’s pregnancy.

Actually, things weren’t as optimistic as Song Chi described.

Zhou Yun saw a lot of people talking about Yuk Chu’s premarital pregnancy.

Zhou Yun hadn’t expected that even in this day and age, some people would use this issue to target Yuk Chu.

However, Yuk Chu still had to face the negative effects brought by this issue.

Because Yuk Chu is a public figure, she has to bear the social obligation of presenting a certain positive image.

Zhou Lan arranged a statement that briefly explained Yuk Chu’s pregnancy and her relationship with Yin Zhou, without revealing details, only saying that the two youngsters reconciled after breaking up, without specifying whether Yuk Chu’s pregnancy occurred before or after reconciliation.

At the same time, Zhou Lan arranged for people to release previously prepared intimate photos of Yuk Chu and Yin Zhou dating.

Images of dining together at a restaurant, shopping together, etc.

These photos were posted by influencers or fans, creating a seemingly candid photo atmosphere.

Through this method, Zhou Lan diverted public attention to their romance rather than when the child in Yuk Chu’s womb was conceived.

Zhou Yun called Yuk Chu.

Yuk Chu asked, ”Xiao Yun, how’s your injury?”

”It’s not serious, don’t worry.” Zhou Yun said, ”It’s you I’m more surprised about, I didn’t think you’d be so affected, even impacting your health.”

”My health hasn’t been great recently, easy to have reactions, nothing related to you. But, is your injury really okay? I heard your whole nail was lifted?”

”Not that exaggerated, let’s not talk about me, how are you and Yin Zhou?”

”Me and him? We’re fine, nothing major. We’re planning to watch ’I’m the Boss’ soon.”

”The movie starring Shen Yao?”

”Yes.”

”It’s good you’re not affected by online public opinion. You must ease your mind; nothing is more important than the baby inside you now.”

”Of course, don’t worry.” Yuk Chu said with a smile, ”Yin Zhou takes good care of me.”

”How about him?”

”Hmm?”

”How’s his mood?”

”Should be alright. He’s more open-minded than me; online voices don’t affect him.” Yuk Chu said.

”That’s true, Yin Zhou is usually a gentle person.” Zhou Yun laughed, ”Back when we were filming ’Eighth Heartbeat’, Gu Huaichun and I were always at each other’s throats, only he was continually calming the conflicts between us.”

Yuk Chu said, ”Gu Huaichun mentioned visiting us tomorrow.”
