Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1260: Chapter 677: Posture

Zeng Yeng sat next to Wen Bing.

Both of them were watching the monitor.

At this moment, the entire film set was incredibly quiet, as if only those two people in the shot were left.

”Cut!” Wen Bing stood up excitedly, ”That’s enough.”

Zou Kai let go of his hand and stepped aside.

Zhou Yun also detached herself from the acting state.

”That was really well-acted just now.” Zou Kai said.

Zhou Yun smiled, nodding, and said, ”It felt okay.”

The two of them laughed and exchanged a few words.

At this moment, Jiang Jinghan came over carrying a water bottle.

”Honey, you acted superbly just now.” Jiang Jinghan said to Zou Kai.

When Zou Kai saw Jiang Jinghan approaching, his smile paused for a moment before continuing, ”Really?”

Jiang Jinghan handed the water bottle to Zou Kai, saying, ”Honey, have some water!”

Her face and eyes were filled with admiration for Zou Kai, completely in the demeanor of a little woman.

Zhou Yun saw this and silently turned away.

Zheng Xiaojue also handed her some water, saying, ”Sister Xiao Yun, how did you adjust your state just now? Earlier, I noticed there was some awkwardness between you and him during rehearsals, but in the actual take just now, there was suddenly a connection between you two. For a moment, I really felt like you two had a past.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Looks like it was well-acted, even you, someone in the know, were moved.”

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Director Wen truly has a knack for shooting these scenes, plus his lines are well-written, and when you two deliver them, it’s especially compelling.”

Zhou Yun: ”Well, it’s Director Wen after all. I’m going to check out the playback with him to see if we need another take.”

She drank some water and went to find Wen Bing behind the monitor.

Wen Bing was reviewing the recent footage.

”Your performance in that scene was excellent.” Wen Bing said, ”I liked your last look at him.”

Zhou Yun laughed and said, ”I liked it too.”

”You two look quite in sync on camera.”

”Like a couple?”

”Yes.” Wen Bing said, ”The acting style is well-matched.”

”He’s quite a good actor.” Zhou Yun said.

The biggest feeling Zhou Yun had while acting opposite Zou Kai was that she didn’t feel any unease. Often, she worried that the other might not catch her cues, or keep up with her rhythm, but Zou Kai never gave her that impression from the start. It was as if she instinctively believed in his acting prowess.

Someone like him, surprisingly, could give such a reassuring feeling in the workplace.

Wen Bing said, ”Otherwise, how could he have remained so resilient all these years? Even with scandals surrounding him, they never affect his filming; his professional ability is too strong.”

”Indeed.” Zhou Yun agreed with a nod.

Moreover, unlike Liang Yuanpu, a particularly outstanding actor, Zou Kai’s acting never feels oppressive.

Zhou Yun had a feeling that in the scene just now, no matter which actress played opposite him, the result wouldn’t be bad.

To put it simply, Zou Kai seems to be able to partner and act with anyone.

It’s quite magical.

Wen Bing said, ”Later I’ll film close-ups; I need to capture your and his gazes.”

”Alright.”

So the previous scene passed without needing a retake.

Zhou Yun and Zou Kai took a rest, then moved on to the next scenes.

Zhou Yun felt a bit uncomfortable because Jiang Jinghan was watching the entire time they filmed this scene, her eyes wide open as if constantly on guard to see if she and her husband would spark any real chemistry.

After all, she was filming scenes with Zou Kai as ex-lovers, and having Zou Kai’s wife watching them made Zhou Yun feel strange.

Not to mention there were so many stories between Zou Kai and Jiang Jinghan.

Zhou Yun didn’t want to get in the middle of the two of them.

Not even a misunderstanding.

Although Zhou Yun hadn’t interacted much with Jiang Jinghan, she didn’t give her a comfortable feeling. Jiang Jinghan reminded her of that type of girl in school who seemed overly warm and proactive, apparently considerate, but in reality not genuinely so, merely presenting an appearance of being considerate.

Zhou Yun had a premonition that if she got too close or interacted too much with Zou Kai, Jiang Jinghan would surely think negatively.

Jiang Jinghan’s constant presence at the set, keeping a close eye on Zou Kai, was like she was guarding him as if he were a prisoner.
