Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1282: Chapter 684: On the Red Carpet_2

Zhou Yun felt like her face had dried out, and she was shocked as she stared wide-eyed.

”Dried out? Is it that serious? What should I do? Do I look ugly now?”

She completely ignored the long speech Zhou Lan gave after.

”It’s not that serious, just a bit off compared to your best state before. Take good care of it, and you’ll get it back.”

Zhou Lan saw that her words had frightened Zhou Yun, so she tried to reassure her.

What she said earlier was indeed a bit exaggerated.

After lunch, Zhou Yun went to the rehearsal for the award ceremony at the venue.

Her main focus was the rehearsal for presenting the Best Actor award.

Since she was solely responsible for this part of the presentation, there was no need to coordinate with others, which allowed the rehearsal to be more flexible. The process was simply following the on-site director’s flow and practicing the speech she would give on stage.

The event tonight was broadcast live, and because it’s a very important award, every word said must be flawless.

The director team had already written a script for Zhou Yun, and she adjusted it according to her feeling on site, to which the director team had no objections and agreed.

After her rehearsal, it was time for others to rehearse.

Zhou Yun didn’t leave but waited in the audience.

The director team thought she had further questions and specifically came to ask her.

Zhou Yun explained that she was waiting for Song Chi.

Only then did the director team understand.

Someone on site was filming behind-the-scenes of the rehearsal, and a photographer pointed the camera at Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun immediately covered her face with her hand, saying, ”Ah, don’t film me, I’m not in my best state now.”

The photographer laughed, saying, ”No way, you look great.”

Zhou Yun was happy to hear the photographer’s words. She smiled and said, ”You’re flattering me because you want to take pictures of me, right?”

The photographer said, ”Not at all, don’t you know you’re really good-looking?”

”Of course I know,” Zhou Yun said, ”but I’ve been abroad filming recently and getting tanned every day. Even my agent said I’ve dried out.”

”Your agent is just being too strict on you. I don’t see any difference.”

”Really?”

”Truly.” The photographer nodded, ”I’ve photographed many actresses, whether in good condition or not, so trust my skills.”

”See, you asked me to trust your skills, so you must think I’m not in good shape now, right?” Zhou Yun immediately widened her eyes, showing a ”gotcha” expression.

The photographer was amused yet helpless.

”I was just praising my own skill, not saying your state is bad.”

”If I were in good shape, wouldn’t I look great regardless of how you photograph me?”

The photographer was speechless.

Zhou Yun herself started laughing.

This playful banter with the photographer made Zhou Yun immensely happy.

She felt it was rare for her to have such an opportunity to engage in playful banter with someone.

Usually, when people see her, they treat her like a superstar, showing great respect while not daring to approach or joke around with her.

Finally, Song Chi arrived.

He was wearing sunglasses and the same formal suit he left in the morning.

Zhou Yun overheard the staff whispering, ”Song Chi is so handsome, he dresses so formally even for rehearsals!”

Zhou Yun thought, Song Chi dressed formally not for your rehearsal.

She smiled lightly, her eyes sparkling as she watched Song Chi.

Walking among the crowd, Song Chi stood out impressively.

It wasn’t surprising.

But the reason Song Chi stood out to Zhou Yun was not the contrast with the crowd, but because he was Song Chi.

Zhou Yun herself found it incredible because there never seemed to be a dull moment or a lack of sparks in her relationship with Song Chi.

She often viewed the relationship pessimistically, fearing that one day they might face a sad ending.

But perhaps because she never dared to have complete expectations, this relationship surprisingly continued beyond her expectations and remained vivid.

Seeing Song Chi still made Zhou Yun’s heart race.

When she embraced Song Chi, there was still that primal physical desire.

While Song Chi was rehearsing on stage, he saw Zhou Yun sitting in the audience waiting for him.

He immediately beamed with a smile.

He showed off his bright, white teeth.

At first, everyone was unsure why he suddenly smiled, but once they traced his gaze to Zhou Yun, they understood why.
