Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1283: Chapter 684: On the Red Carpet (Part 3)

It turns out to be a ”fateful encounter” here.

After Song Chi finished rehearsing, Zhou Yun and Song Chi met up.

Song Chi asked, ”Where are you planning to go later?”

Zhou Yun said, ”I need to change clothes and get styled, what about you?”

Song Chi replied, ”The clothes are in the car, shall I come with you and use your place?”

Zhou Yun laughed, ”You’re making it sound so awkward, borrowing.”

Song Chi: ”Just hitching a ride.”

Zhou Yun generously said, ”Alright then.”

Of course, Song Chi wasn’t without a place to rest; he just wanted to spend more time with Zhou Yun.

Besides, they were both going to walk the red carpet together tonight.

Song Chi accompanied Zhou Yun to get a massage, care treatments, maintenance, then styled and dressed together.

Song Chi’s management team and styling team followed along.

The Qingmu Award is one of the most prestigious and authoritative film awards domestically.

Before setting out, they took a set of photos and posted them online.

They took a series of dual photos, a man and a woman either laughing at each other or elegantly aloof; different styles, but their shared frame exuded a simple yet sophisticated intimacy.

Zhou Yun and Song Chi had spent a long time in the crew and hadn’t been active in the public eye for quite a while; their fans had been eagerly waiting for them.

Now these two finally appeared to engage, and the fans were ecstatic.

Especially as both were attending the gala as nominees.

Although they both had won the Qingmu Award already, and this year the chance seemed slim, nominations always hold a glimmer of hope—what if they win?

Both ”Laissez-faire” and ”Behind the Scenes” have achieved acclaim both critically and at the box office.

Truly speaking, Song Chi’s chance of winning is slightly higher than Zhou Yun’s this year.

Because ”Laissez-faire” has a more mainstream theme, and Song Chi played a positive hero.

Every time around this period, there’s always someone analyzing the awards.

This is a never-missing routine show.

For Best Actor, Song Chi ”Laissez-faire”, You Jiang ”Behind the Scenes”, Shen Yao ”I’m the Boss”, Liang Yuanpu ”He Mingfan”, Zheng He ”Silent Witness”; the biggest buzz is for Liang Yuanpu’s ”He Mingfan,” which has already earned the Lingjun Award Best Actor, showcasing very refined acting in this literary film, and among professional attitudes from the industry, his performance is the most acclaimed among the five. Besides, You Jiang is also much anticipated for his breakthrough in ”Behind the Scenes,” though the shortcoming is that ”Behind the Scenes” isn’t crafted with him as the absolute lead.

For Best Actress, Zhou Yun ”Behind the Scenes”, Zeng Lili ”Behind the Scenes”, Zhang Hongyu ”Laissez-faire”, Yin Lin ”Bad Woman”, Cheng Benqin ”Song of Wandering”; the biggest buzz is between Zhang Hongyu and Cheng Benqin, the former an already acclaimed Movie Queen, the latter impressively stunned the industry with the literary film. While Zhou Yun’s acting in ”Behind the Scenes” was also very intense, regarding character richness, it doesn’t match Cheng Benqin’s role in ”Song of Wandering.”

Zhou Yun and Song Chi walked hand-in-hand on the red carpet, immediately becoming the spotlight focus.

Some fans egged them on, shouting for a kiss.

Song Chi took the chance and kissed Zhou Yun.

The kiss led to screams from the entire audience, even the hosts of the red carpet segment were screaming.

...

Ahead of Song Chi and Zhou Yun on the red carpet was Ning Xiner, the actress of ”Laissez-faire.”

Though she didn’t get a Best Actress nomination, due to her own and the film’s influence, she received an invitation to the Qingmu Award to present a technical department accolade.

Hearing the whole venue’s explosive cheers, Ning Xiner had a hunch; could it be Song Chi and Zhou Yun arriving?

On the red carpet, evoking cheers and screams of this magnitude are very rare.

She glanced back and saw Song Chi and Zhou Yun kissing passionately on the red carpet.

Ning Xiner suddenly felt a mix of emotions.

Feelings akin to jealousy arose in her heart.

Why is her luck not as good as Zhou Yun’s?

Among the actors in ”Laissez-faire,” she was the only one without a nomination; though nobody spoke about it, she knew it was actually quite embarrassing.

If ”Laissez-faire” hadn’t had so many actors nominated, it would be alright not to have one.

But she alone became the ”lost pearl.”
