Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1288: Chapter 686: Best Actor_2

There are even more actors.

Yuh Huaijiang is famous in the industry for being a talent scout and for his willingness to help others.

Newcomers, washed-up actors, artists hit by rival attacks, and so on.

If you can knock on Yuh Huaijiang’s door, you can get a very important opportunity in your life.

So, if Xu Siyao really did such a thing, Zhou Yun wouldn’t be surprised at all.

Xu Siyao is someone with skill, can act, and is popular. Now she stands on the threshold of greater success, with that step being awards, industry recognition.

Zhou Yun considers herself to understand Xu Siyao.

Xu Siyao wants to win an award. As long as she settles things with Yuh Huaijiang, acts in his film, and showcases her innate acting skills, it’s not impossible for her to strive for Best Actress.

The biggest difference between her and the likes of Ning Xiner is that Xu Siyao can actually act.

Looking at Yuh Huaijiang, Zhou Yun’s mind was filled with thoughts of Xu Siyao.

Speaking of which, she realizes she still can’t really ignore Xu Siyao.

Xu Siyao is a significant threat.

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but laugh at herself, thinking she had let many things go and didn’t take them to heart, but in reality, it was just a delusion.

”Boss Yuh, today I heard a rumor about you and an actress, may I be bold and ask if it’s true or false?” Zhou Yun winked at Yuh Huaijiang and asked.

Yuh Huaijiang’s expression didn’t change, he chuckled softly, and said, ”You’re referring to the rumor about me and Xu Siyao, right?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”I find the news quite unbelievable, but since everyone is talking about it, I’m curious too.”

Yuh Huaijiang said, ”Xu Siyao did have dinner with me, but the person who sneaked into my room that night wasn’t her.”

With one sentence, Zhou Yun understood the general truth of the story.

So, someone did get Yuh Huaijiang drunk and snuck into his room, that part was true, but the main character of the story was mistaken.

Zhou Yun was very surprised.

”Then—”

”Don’t overthink it, it’s not at all what the rumors say.” Yuh Huaijiang said with a somewhat dark face, a normal reaction since no sane man would be happy to have such rumors spread about him.

Zhou Yun asked with a smile, ”So what happened?”

Yuh Huaijiang said, ”The one who broke into my room was my ex-wife.”

”Ah?” Zhou Yun was stunned, her eyes widening in surprise.

Yuh Huaijiang said, ”Sigh, I won’t go into details, it’s made everyone laugh so hard.”

Zhou Yun hurried to reassure him, ”No, Boss Yuh, don’t say that, nobody is laughing at you, you’re someone we all respect.”

Yuh Huaijiang waved his hand, suddenly remembering something, and asked, ”By the way, Xiao Yun, when does the film you’re shooting in Australia finish? Will you be back in the country by July?”

Zhou Yun said, ”It should be finished by then unless there’s some unexpected situation, why?”

”I have a film here and want to ask if you could do a cameo for me. Do you have time?” Yuh Huaijiang said. ”It’s by a very talented young person who showed me a script and wants me to invest in its production. I quite like it. There’s a role, not much screen time, but very brilliant, and I want to ask you to help, firstly because I think you’re perfect for the role, you’d make it shine, and secondly, because it’s an art film, and I want you to help make it stand out a bit.”

Zhou Yun nodded at these words and said, ”No problem at all, Boss Yuh. I’ll also mention it to Sister Lan later, but first, could you send me the script for a look? How long will the shooting take?”

Zhou Yun agreed so readily that even Yuh Huaijiang was a little surprised.

He said, ”It should take about a week to shoot. I’ll have someone send you the script. Why did you agree so quickly?”

Yuh Huaijiang was a bit surprised.

Even though he had heard about it, Zhou Yun really showed no airs like a celebrity.

Zhou Yun said, ”I’ve seen a lot of the films you’ve produced, and I trust you.”

What’s more gratifying and pleasing for a seasoned producer than hearing words like these?

For Zhou Yun, such a superstar, to readily agree to do a cameo in a film—Yuh Huaijiang had only ever received such treatment from genuine friends in his many years in the business.

Even though he is a well-respected figurehead.

The reason Zhou Yun agreed so readily was partly because of Yuh Huaijiang’s status and position, and partly because it was a request to do a cameo in a film, which wasn’t as high-stakes.
