Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1298: Chapter 689: Wrapping Up One After Another_3

In the rough cut, her aura of love-whoever-you-want and her gaze are captured extremely well on camera.

Zhou Yun looked at herself on screen, feeling that the woman in front of the lens exuded a very subtle yet profound, blade-like world-weariness.

This aura was akin to one in an ancient town amidst light drizzle, where an ironworker under the eaves cast you a glance, revealing a sense of retreat and desolate numbness.

Zhou Yun instantly understood what Wen Bing wanted in this scene.

A sense of world-weariness, a passive sense of world-weariness.

Some directors focus on technicalities, while others indulge in a stream-of-consciousness aesthetic.

Wen Bing is unequivocally the latter.

Zhou Yun respects Wen Bing’s aesthetic.

Shooting Female Assassin with Wen Bing has been a very pleasant experience for Zhou Yun.

Soon, Zou Kai’s scenes wrapped up.

No matter what his personal life is like, he is, after all, a big star, so the crew seriously organized a wrap party for him.

As for this fellow actor, Zhou Yun harbors complex feelings.

On one hand, Zhou Yun really doesn’t like Zou Kai’s personality, nor his flirtatious behavior.

However, on the other hand, Zhou Yun has to admit that Zou Kai’s acting is genuinely impressive, very competent.

No matter how he behaves in front of others, Zou Kai’s attitude has always been proper in front of Zhou Yun, never revealing any inappropriate thoughts.

Zhou Yun knows she shouldn’t feel this way, but undeniably, based on her experience working with Zou Kai, she wouldn’t mind collaborating with him on another film.

Of course, the premise is that Jiang Jinghan doesn’t join the cast with him.

Zhou Yun also fell into deep contemplation: Should she still uphold her role as someone who abhors evil at this juncture?

Actually, she also understands why her perspective has changed.

Because she feels similarly negative about Jiang Jinghan, she has lost the inclination to sympathize with either side between Zou Kai and Jiang Jinghan.

Perhaps because of this, her dislike for Zou Kai is no longer as intense.

Regarding infidelity, regarding betrayal, Zhou Yun isn’t sure what the situation between Zou Kai and Jiang Jinghan really is. She simply gradually became impressed by his acting during their collaboration. Meanwhile, she also felt angry and frustrated, thinking that if Zou Kai behaved more decently in his personal life, if he didn’t enjoy flirting so much, she wouldn’t be this conflicted.

After Zou Kai left the crew, Zhou Yun’s scenes in Australia also soon approached their end.

Once these scenes were wrapped, the entire crew was to move to a small country in Africa.

With an action blockbuster like this, it wouldn’t be right not to feature multiple locations internationally.

Zhou Yun’s last remaining scenes in Australia were her fight scenes with Liu Gang.

It took Zhou Yun and Liu Gang five days to finally finish shooting these scenes.

Both of them had sustained many injuries.

”It was great to get to know you through this film,” Zhou Yun told Liu Gang, ”I hope we can collaborate on many more films in the future.”

Although Liu Gang is not famous, he is a very good actor.

Zhou Yun isn’t skilled in shooting action scenes, and Liu Gang has always personally demonstrated and guided her.

He wasn’t the martial arts instructor of the crew, this wasn’t initially his job.

But he always did so with great patience, which deeply touched and moved Zhou Yun.

Once Liu Gang’s scenes wrapped, Zhou Yun specially communicated once with Zhou Lan about the possibility of signing Liu Gang to her studio.

Zhou Lan thought for a while and said, ”Xiao Yun, if you want to sign Liu Gang to our studio, that’s not impossible, but it might not be a perfect fit for him here. He’s an action star, but our studio rarely deals with projects suitable for him. Compared to signing him here, signing with Chengqian Entertainment would be more beneficial for his career.”

Zhou Yun felt Zhou Lan made sense.

”How about you talk to him? His action scenes are outstanding. I feel, given time and the right role, he could carve out his own niche.”

”I don’t know if he will carve out his spot, but the market for such type of actors is always small, and salaries aren’t substantial,” Zhou Lan said. ”If you believe in him, I’ll talk to him, but if you’re just trying to push him forward, I suggest you don’t meddle in his agent affairs. The best way is to recommend him to various producers and directors in the industry. They’ll definitely keep your recommendation in mind, and might consider him if there’s a suitable role.”
