Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1253: Chapter 674: She Didn’t Deceive Herself (3)

Liu Gang was filled with guilt.

He had already taken the responsibility for Zhou Yun’s injury upon himself.

”No, if I had been more careful, I wouldn’t have hit your hand.”

Zhou Yun sighed and said, ”Ah, let’s not stand in the doorway talking. Let’s go inside.”

Once inside the room, Zhou Yun asked Xiaoju to awaken the wine.

”Shall we have some wine? Is that okay?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wen Bing nodded.

Liu Gang couldn’t help but nod.

Zhou Yun said, ”Before I came to shoot this film, I was already prepared to get hurt. If I were afraid of injuries, I wouldn’t have come to perform in this film. Brother Gang, don’t take what happened today to heart. We can just be more careful in the future.”

Wen Bing said, ”I also bear some responsibility for this. If it weren’t for me not letting you two rest continuously, this situation wouldn’t have happened.”

”Is today a confession meeting at my place?” Zhou Yun joked.

Wen Bing: ”It seems like it, doesn’t it?”

Zhou Yun shrugged, ”Let’s stop talking, let’s drink.”

”Let’s drink.”

The four of them finished off a bottle of red wine, feeling slightly tipsy.

Wen Bing patted Zhou Yun on the shoulder and said, ”I told Liu Gang a long time ago, you definitely wouldn’t blame him. But he was uneasy all day, restless.”

”I hurt someone, but if I behave as if nothing happened, wouldn’t I be heartless?” Liu Gang said.

Zhou Yun started laughing.

”Oh, you two are enough.” Zhou Yun rested her chin on her hand and said, ”I’ve been really happy filming this movie, seriously. I’ve always wanted to play a character like this, but never thought I’d actually get the chance. I actually regret not doing enough action training. Compared to Brother Gang, I’m just showing off. I really want to learn martial arts.”

Upon hearing this, Liu Gang said, ”If you’d like, I can teach you.”

”Really?”

”Yes.” Liu Gang nodded, ”Martial arts training and shooting an action film are quite different. It can be fast-tracked later on, but if you’re truly interested in martial arts, practicing long-term, the state and effect on your acting would indeed be different.”

”Can I give it a try first? I don’t know if I can stick with it.”

”Sure, when you’re not filming and if you’re available, I can introduce you to the basics.”

”That’s great.” Zhou Yun smiled.

Wen Bing asked, ”Why? Are you planning to expand into the action film market in the future?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Skills never weigh one down.”

Wen Bing: ”You’re thinking ahead.”

”I aspire to make acting my lifelong career,” Zhou Yun said, ”and ’Female Assassin’ will certainly not be my last action film.”

Wen Bing nodded and said, ”It’s great that you have such aspirations.”

Zheng Xiaojue spoke up and said, ”Director, you have no idea how much Sister Xiao Yun has sacrificed for acting. She’s willing to do anything that helps her acting. She even brings her action director when attending film festivals abroad.”

Both Wen Bing and Liu Gang glanced at Zhou Yun in slight surprise.

Zhou Yun: ”Standard procedure, if I’m filming an action movie, I have to be better prepared.”

”No wonder, I noticed your muscle lines. You must be working out regularly.” Liu Gang said.

Zhou Yun smiled, ”I heard that people who practice martial arts long-term have physical awareness and muscle contours that are different from ordinary people. I don’t want to appear on screen without reaching these basic conditions; that would be an easy target for ridicule.”

”Nowadays, how many people actually care about such things in filmmaking?” Wen Bing reflected.

Liu Gang said, ”Previously, I collaborated with an actor on an action film, and the whole time, a stunt double handled the action scenes for him.”

”Ultimately, stunt doubles can’t beat the actor performing themselves.” Zhou Yun said, ”Moreover, getting someone else to do it isn’t true performance.”

”Let’s toast to our dedicated Zhou Yun.” Wen Bing raised his glass.

”To the director, to Brother Gang, I’ve been really happy working with you on this film.” Zhou Yun said with genuine happiness.

The moon was very round and bright tonight.

After drinking with them and sending them off, Zhou Yun sat alone by the window, gazing at the night sky, and the moon.

The evening was cloudless, with the moon round like a jade plate.

Zhou Yun enjoyed the serenity bathed in moonlight, her heart clear.

This injury didn’t affect her mood for acting. After a day of chaos, being alone now allowed her to view her feelings with more clarity.

From getting injured to going to the hospital, from the pale pain to exhausted sleep, not once did she regret, not for a moment did she want to give up.

Her heart was fully invested in the movie; it was genuine passion.

She didn’t deceive herself.
