Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1255: Chapter 675: I Won’t Have Anything to Do With You (2)

The most shocking thing to Zhou Yun was that several of the involved actresses spoke up afterwards, saying they had been deceived by Zou Kai.

Zou Kai told them that his marriage was unhappy, that Jiang Jinghan was too controlling and always checking up on him, leaving him no fresh air to breathe, so he wanted to divorce Jiang Jinghan.

This explanation would naturally be seen through and scorned by many women, but there were always some who were inexperienced or had other agendas and fell into his trap.

What made Zhou Yun even more incredulous was Jiang Jinghan.

She actually steadfastly insisted that it was those women who were seducing her husband from the beginning to end.

Zhou Yun thought, what kind of strong belief does it take to still trust your husband’s innocence in the face of so much ”evidence” and ”witness accounts.”

To put it bluntly, don’t you know what kind of person your bedmate is deep down?

Zhou Yun said, ”Last night, when we had dinner together, I thought they both seemed quite normal, and Zou Kai came to the rescue when needed. I thought he was a nice guy.”

Zheng Xiaojue said, ”Some people are like that; excellent in one aspect, yet terrible in another—people’s two-faced nature.”

”No wonder Jiang Jinghan followed him across the world to Australia. Considering Zou Kai’s nature, if she didn’t come along, wouldn’t he be running wild in a new place?” Zhou Yun smirked, ”Makes me feel disillusioned. Who was it that told me before? Zou Kai is a great actor? Looks like he’s not only good on set, but also skilled in life.”

Zheng Xiaojue smacked her lips, ”Jiang Jinghan is really able to withstand this. If I were her, I would have dumped this man a long time ago.”

Zhou Yun laughed softly, ”Xiaoju, if you encounter something like this in the future, can you really decisively kick such a man to the curb?”

”Of course, why keep this kind of man around, for New Year’s celebration?” Zheng Xiaojue said firmly.

Zhou Yun: ”But not everyone has your courage and decisiveness.”

She didn’t immediately assume, like many online, that Jiang Jinghan was equally guilty—Zou Kai’s problems were apparent, but Zhou Yun didn’t want to simply equate them with Jiang Jinghan’s issues. Zhou Yun could understand one thing: Jiang Jinghan wanted to protect her family no matter what. Of course, if the girls were truly duped by Zou Kai as they said, and Jiang Jinghan still blamed them entirely, she was hurting others, and anyone would admit this.

However—

Zhou Yun also had doubts in her heart.

If Zou Kai’s reputation was already so sullied, with everyone knowing about it, and discussions all over the web and circles, would those girls really have been deceived beyond the initial phase of ignorance?

Zhou Yun was skeptical about this.

Jiang Jinghan believed many were intentionally tempting Zou Kai, and that might not be entirely false.

After all, Zou Kai is a talented actor who has worked in the industry for years, with connections, resources, a certain reputation, and fans. Given these attributes, some see him as a prize and want him for themselves.

Zhou Yun said, ”Since Jiang Jinghan came along, Zou Kai might behave more in the crew; it has nothing to do with us, let’s act as if we know nothing.”

Zheng Xiaojue nodded.

”Greet them normally, don’t wear your feelings on your face, understood?”

”Understood.” Zheng Xiaojue nodded, ”Sister Xiao Yun, don’t worry, I’ve got it under control.”

”Do you think you’re some kind of spirit, all trained and honed?” Zhou Yun teased.

Zheng Xiaojue chuckled.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

Zheng Xiaojue went to open it, surprisedly exclaiming, ”Sister Han, why are you here?”

Jiang Jinghan’s voice called from the entrance, ”Xiaoju, is Miss Zhou Yun here? I’m looking for her.”

Zheng Xiaojue glanced back.

Zhou Yun nodded.

Zheng Xiaojue smiled, inviting Jiang Jinghan in.

Jiang Jinghan walked in, smiled at Zhou Yun, ”Xiao Yun, I hope I’m not disturbing your rest?”

Zhou Yun stood up, ”No, Jinghan, what brings you to me?”
