Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1286: Chapter 685: Rumors (Part 3)

Zhou Yun: ”Uh, Sister Lin, to be honest, when I heard this news, why does it feel a bit too outrageous?”

”Who knows.” Yin Lin smiled slightly, ”I just listen to it as gossip, and enjoy it.”

”That’s true.”

”Anyway, I’ve heard a lot about Xu Siyao. Given her temperament and personality, if she really did something like this, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

Zhou Yun thought about it and felt that Yin Lin wasn’t wrong.

Considering Xu Siyao’s relentless style, if she really wanted to deal with Yuh Huaijiang, doing something like this might indeed be possible for her.

Zhou Yun felt shocked and stunned.

As a result, Zhou Yun later ran into several people who all asked her if she knew about Xu Siyao’s matter.

That’s when Zhou Yun realized how much news she had missed because she was filming abroad.

Many of these news, people only discussed face to face.

Like this kind of gossip.

After Zhou Yun reunited with Song Chi, she immediately asked him: ”Do you know about Xu Siyao’s matter?”

Song Chi: ”Are you asking about her and Yuh Huaijiang?”

Zhou Yun nodded.

Song Chi said: ”I’ve heard, but there’s a lot of exaggeration in this matter. At least I know that Yuh Huaijiang’s anger and dismissal of his secretary assistant had nothing to do with Xu Siyao.”

”I thought so.” Zhou Yun nodded, ”This matter indeed sounds too unbelievable.”

”Yeah.” Song Chi said, ”But a lot of people are talking about it, so maybe there’s some truth to it.”

Zhou Yun: ”Don’t know if it’s true or false, but something Sister Yin Lin said seems very right to me, even if it’s true, it wouldn’t be surprising, Xu Siyao would do something like this.”

Song Chi: ”She came to see me before.”

”Hmm?” Zhou Yun was alarmed upon hearing this from Song Chi, ”What did she want with you?”

Song Chi said: ”She had her eyes on an IP our company bought and wanted to act in it.”

Zhou Yun hesitated for a moment and asked: ”What did you think of it?”

Song Chi: ”From a business perspective, we don’t seem to have a reason to reject an actress of her level actively seeking cooperation with us.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”Yes, the dramas she’s starring in now should be highly sought after by all major platforms.”

Song Chi nodded: ”Right, she said she could join the production with funding, and it wouldn’t be hard to sell. Several platforms are eyeing her new drama, waiting to buy it.”

Zhou Yun said: ”Then quickly sign a contract with her.”

Song Chi: ”I turned her down.”

”Hmm?” Zhou Yun widened her eyes in surprise, ”Why?”

Zhou Yun had an uneasy guess in her mind, could it be because of her?

Song Chi said: ”She didn’t pass our company’s risk assessment and background check.”

”Ah?” Zhou Yun was taken aback.

”You know, now, a single issue with an actor can cause a drama to be indefinitely shelved and not aired. Xu Siyao’s risk is too high, and though many of her personal issues have not yet come to light, if they do, the investment in a drama would go down the drain.” Song Chi said, ”So, in the end, we turned her down.”

Zhou Yun asked: ”Does she really have so many fundamental issues?”

Song Chi said: ”For example, this affair with Yuh Huaijiang, if it turns out to be true, she’d be a mistress having an affair with a married man.”

Though Song Chi said this, Zhou Yun still felt that this matter might be related to her.

Despite the risks surrounding Xu Siyao, she was currently in the spotlight, and no production company would reject her. After all, these rumors were just baseless chatter.

Song Chi: ”Some big companies might be willing to take the risk for revenue, but my company hasn’t been established for long and can’t withstand such turmoil. The loss of a single drama would severely harm us. I’d rather earn a little less and play it safe.”

Zhou Yun: ”After I finish filming ’Female Assassin,’ I won’t have any other acting plans before the end of this year. If you have a suitable project, you can get me involved.”

Song Chi said: ”Then I’d rather you take this time to rest more.”

Zhou Yun said: ”Doing nothing is just doing nothing, and it doesn’t have to be such a demanding role. Like a drama with the theme of ’Under the Grand Dress,’ I can shoot that very easily and happily.”

”Unfortunately, there’s no suitable script right now.” Song Chi said, ”Besides, I always feel that it would be a waste of your acting skills to have you play a simple script.”

Zhou Yun: ”There’s no such thing as that, I can’t always be shooting those intense dramas.”

Song Chi laughed: ”Don’t worry, you don’t need to worry about my company, I have plans, and everything is progressing smoothly at the moment.”
