Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1257: Chapter 676: Putting On an Act

Zhou Yun discovered that she truly couldn’t completely forget the things Zou Kai had done.

The comments on the internet stayed in her mind, lingering.

Zhou Yun had obstacles in her heart and couldn’t let go of her distractions to engage in her emotional scenes with Zou Kai.

Wen Bing understood Zhou Yun very well.

He saw Zhou Yun like this and immediately knew she had distractions in her heart, which was why she couldn’t get into it.

For Zhou Yun, such scenes require a special atmosphere and a strong psychological state, in which she can deliver a particularly profound and ethereal performance.

This was the experience he accumulated while filming ”Life,” and he immediately called Zhou Yun over.

”What’s going on? Do you have something on your mind?”

Zhou Yun knew what her problem was, but it was inconvenient for her to say.

She could only say, ”Give me some time, I need to adjust.”

Wen Bing respected her opinion when he heard her say this and let her go aside to brew her emotions.

Zhou Yun went to do some mental preparation for herself.

Seeing her go to one corner, Zou Kai came over and asked Wen Bing, ”Director, how is Xiao Yun? Is she not in a good state?”

Wen Bing said, ”Yes, give her some time to adjust.”

Zou Kai nodded, ”No problem.”

So far, he had shown a high level of cooperation on set.

Whether waiting for scenes or rehearsing, he was easy to talk to.

He said, ”If you need me to go through the scenes with her a few more times, just let me know. I’ll go have a smoke first.”

”Wait a moment,” Wen Bing stopped Zou Kai, ”Don’t smoke for now, Xiao Yun doesn’t like the smell of smoke. If you smoke, I’m afraid her state will be affected later.”

”Oh, I see. That’s fine. Having a cup of coffee should be okay, right?” Zou Kai asked.

Wen Bing nodded.

”No problem, coincidentally, please bring me a cup too,” Wen Bing said, ”Iced Americano.”

”No problem.” Zou Kai gestured the OK sign.

Shortly after Zou Kai left, Zeng Yeng came over.

She went directly to Wen Bing’s side and asked, ”Director Wen, why aren’t we filming?”

”Waiting for the actor to brew some emotions,” Wen Bing explained, ”Today is a drama scene, no action, and for actors like Xiao Yun, more words are of no use. Just let her adjust her state by herself.”

Zeng Yeng nodded at Wen Bing’s explanation, ”Okay. Oh, by the way, Director Wen, Chen Zhibing said he’d like to talk about his role with you tonight, is that okay?”

Wen Bing said, ”Sure, but it has to be after eight. I’ve arranged a meeting with the art team to discuss the setting for the city chase scene we’re going to shoot.”

”Alright.” Zeng Yeng nodded.

She suddenly remembered something, ”By the way, Director Wen, there’s only one matter I have to inform you about in advance.”

”What is it?” Wen Bing asked.

Zeng Yeng said, ”Zou Kai has attracted a lot of attention domestically. If journalists contact you for an interview regarding Zou Kai’s private life, let’s have a unified stance and not comment on his private life, okay?”

”What’s going on with his private life?”

Wen Bing was not someone who frequented online gossip.

He spent his time either on his film projects, reading books, watching plays, or attending exhibitions, with a life filled with passion for literature and art.

Zeng Yeng saw Wen Bing didn’t know and quickly filled him in.

”So that’s why Xiao Yun has so many distractions, it’s probably because of this,” Wen Bing said.

”Huh?” Zeng Yeng was surprised, ”Xiao Yun’s distractions have to do with Zou Kai?”

”Of course. Zou Kai is clearly a scumbag, how can you expect Xiao Yun to feel comfortable acting in a romantic scene with a scumbag?” Wen Bing said, ”Would you be able to perform a romantic scene with him?”

Zeng Yeng: ”... What should we do then? Zhou Yun is a professional actor; she should be okay, right?”

”Professional actors are still human,” Wen Bing said.

Zeng Yeng: ”I didn’t mean it that way, I’m just concerned. What if Xiao Yun can’t overcome this? We can’t keep delaying the shoot, can we?”

Wen Bing gave her a sideways glance.

”Don’t worry, if it comes to that, I’ll communicate with the screenwriter and actors to adjust the script.”

Zeng Yeng got anxious upon hearing this, ”Adjust the script? But any script adjustments need to be reported to the Script Review Committee; we can’t just change it as we please.”

”Zeng Yeng, this is my movie. If during shooting I encounter problems and need to adjust the script, and have to go through the Script Review Committee for approval, then just tell Yao Yuanfeng, next time don’t bother asking me to direct a movie,” Wen Bing retorted angrily.
