Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 399: Chapter 321: Keeping a Distance (Part 3)

She made a helpless gesture.

”I won’t go into details, the more I say, the more I’ll end up complaining to you. Right now, you and Song Chi are in the most passionate phase, don’t let it affect you,” Wen Xi said. ”Especially since both you and him are public figures, very susceptible to people’s influence. Just a reminder, don’t believe anything you hear about Song Chi from others. It’s not that you can’t believe what others say, but this industry is too complicated. No one knows what the true intentions are behind their words.”

”Solid gold advice, I’ll take it to heart,” Zhou Yun said with a smile, ”I’ll toast you with tea instead of wine.”

Wen Xi clinked her cup cheerfully with Zhou Yun’s.

”Sister Wen Xi, I’m sorry we didn’t end up using Jin Su for that role in the end,” Zhou Yun finally brought up the topic.

Wen Xi shook her hands, ”Don’t apologize to me, if you apologize, I’d feel sorry instead. I was already embarrassed to ask for you to give him an audition opportunity.”

Zhou Yun said, ”Jin Su is really good, his image is also great, but he just wasn’t quite right for our male lead. The male lead is meant to be a healthy, youthful college student type, and Jin Su is too refined.”

Wen Xi laughed.

”It’s this line of work as a model. You deal with fashionable concepts and items every day, and they subtly influence you.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”But I do enjoy looking at fashionable things, beautiful things are a form of good aesthetics.”

Wen Xi nodded.

”Weren’t you on the cover of the October issue of ’Victor’? Everyone spoke highly of that cover,” Wen Xi said. ”You really have a good sense of the camera, capturing that French laissez-faire vibe.”

”I’m just lazy,” Zhou Yun laughed.

She chatted with Wen Xi while eating.

After finishing the meal, Wen Xi asked, ”Do you have plans for the afternoon? Want to go shopping together?”

Zhou Yun nodded and said, ”Sure, I haven’t been shopping in a long time.”

Both of them usually had their daily necessities sponsored, and their assistants managed everything so well that they didn’t even need to shop themselves, not to mention the convenience of online shopping.

Wen Xi drove Zhou Yun to a nearby mall, and they shopped the whole afternoon until they left happily carrying bags of purchases.

Just as they walked out the gate of the mall, a swarm of reporters carrying cameras rushed out, blocking the two of them at the gate.

Zhou Yun was startled and exchanged a surprised look with Wen Xi.

”It’s Wen Xi and Zhou Yun, we got the right tip!” they heard someone shout.

Apparently, the two had been recognized while shopping, and the news got to the reporters who followed them.

The mall security, seeing the commotion, were startled and quickly came over to maintain order.

”Don’t make trouble! Don’t make trouble! Let’s talk if you have something to say!” The security mistook them for troublemakers.

Zhou Yun didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, quietly saying to Wen Xi, ”What do we do now?”

Wen Xi said, ”It’s fine, just speak a few words and then we can leave.”

She smiled erenely, waved her hand, and said, ”You guys are really in the know, getting the news so quickly.”

The reporters laughed and said, ”Of course, did you two come out to shop together today?”

”Didn’t Song Chi come with you?” someone shoved a microphone in front of Zhou Yun and asked.

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”He’s filming.”

Then the reporter asked, ”So do you two call each other every day?”

Zhou Yun waved her hand and said, ”That’s none of your business, we’re leaving.”

She moved to walk away.

The reporter said, ”Everyone wants to know, just tell us a little.”

Zhou Yun shook her head, refusing, and said, ”Everyone wants to know, but I don’t want to tell everyone. There are many things you guys want to know.”

”Alright, alright, we have things to do, we’ve got to go,” Wen Xi hastily intervened, ”You guys should head back too. It’s evening, time to go home to your kids.”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”Exactly, time to head home.”

The reporters looked at each other.

”Just tell us a bit more,” a male reporter in his forties said, ”It’s not often we, ah no, see you guys.”

Zhou Yun said, ”I have said a lot, now go, you all work so hard, but the boss won’t pay you overtime.”

The reporters: ”...”

Once they got rid of the reporters, Wen Xi asked, ”Where do you live? I’ll give you a ride.”
