Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 373: Chapter 315: Rising Phase: 151_4

Song Chi said, ”Zhou Yun could never fall for you.”

”Why not?” Wei Heyun’s competitiveness flared up instantly.

Song Chi said, ”Because she likes me.”

Wei Heyun’s eyes widened, and it took him a long while to snap back to reality.

What kind of reason is that?!

-

Zhou Yun couldn’t have anticipated that after receiving a call from Song Chi and heading out to meet him at the elevator with excitement, she would encounter a flushed-faced Wei Heyun beside Song Chi due to his alcohol consumption.

What Zhou Yun expected even less was Wei Heyun’s first words to her in utter frustration: ”Zhou Yun, tell me the truth! What does Song Chi have that I don’t?”

That emphatic question sounded almost like Wei Heyun was the one being endlessly ignored by her, Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun simply ignored him and turned to Song Chi.

”What’s going on?”

Song Chi, with a smile in his voice, said, ”Didn’t you tell me? He wants to be bros with me? As soon as I got back, he was waiting for me. When he heard I was going to take you for some food, he threatened me, saying if I don’t bring him along, he’ll live stream and expose our relationship tonight.”

Zhou Yun looked at Wei Heyun with contempt and said, ”He’s seriously nuts.”

Wei Heyun spread his arms with a ’what can you do about it’ expression.

Zhou Yun: ”...”

What could she say? Nothing at all.

She walked over to Song Chi and asked, ”What are we eating?”

Song Chi asked, ”What do you feel like eating?”

Zhou Yun said, ”Let’s have something light, it’s late, and I’m worried about breaking out tomorrow.”

Song Chi nodded and said, ”Let’s go.”

Wei Heyun’s eyes were wide as he watched the two of them, asking, ”Are you two just going to walk out like that, so openly?”

”Yep.”

”Aren’t you afraid of people discovering you, a man and a woman alone coming out of a hotel?” Wei Heyun was even more shocked.

Song Chi smiled.

”What man and woman alone? Don’t I have my good bro here, you?”

Wei Heyun’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Zhou Yun caught on to Song Chi’s intention and laughed heartily.

”Damn it!” Wei Heyun cursed.

...

Dog couples are too blinding to look at.

Wei Heyun couldn’t stand it any longer the next day and ran away without looking back.

Zhou Yun laughed heartily.

Song Chi didn’t have to be on set that morning.

Therefore, the two rarely had time to spend together during the day.

Zhou Yun asked Song Chi, ”When will you finish shooting this film?”

Song Chi said, ”We’ll film until December.”

”Sigh, by that time, I’ll be shooting ’Falling Leaves,’ a perfect miss,” Zhou Yun said.

Song Chi said, ”It’s fine, I’ll come to visit you on set.”

Zhou Yun said, ”It’ll be quite bothersome, can’t really visit you openly.”

”Actually, it doesn’t really matter if we do it openly, do you want me to come?” Song Chi asked.

”Of course I want you to come,” Zhou Yun said.

The two of them went to the cinema to watch a newly released movie together and then went for lunch together.

There weren’t many people in this small town.

They both wore masks and sunglasses; fortunately, no one recognized them on the street.

Zhou Yun held a cup of coffee, and a couple walked toward them.

They were holding hands.

Their hands swayed as they walked.

Zhou Yun stepped aside to make room for the hand-holding couple.

She looked back at them.

Perhaps the couple felt a sense of familiarity and turned back to look at them.

Zhou Yun immediately turned her head away.

Just then, Song Chi suddenly took Zhou Yun’s hand.

In the middle of the public, Zhou Yun was startled.

She looked at Song Chi with a puzzled expression.

But Song Chi didn’t return her gaze; instead, he held her hand firmly and walked forward, his palm strong.

In that moment, Zhou Yun heard the sound of her heartbeats speeding up, thumping, thumping, a mixture of nervousness and an exhilarating sense of happiness.

The happiness of this moment was that Song Chi had heard the voice inside her heart.

He knew what she was thinking, what she was envying.

At this moment, Zhou Yun suddenly felt content with this simple act of holding hands.

It had nothing to do with any symbol; it was just being led by this person, moving forward.
