Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 381: Chapter 318: First Light: 1_2

”Watch yourself!” His voice was full of threatening warning.

...

They finally managed to shake off those two and walked into the hotel.

Song Chi asked, ”Are you okay?”

Zhou Yun shook her head, touched her reddened wrist, gave a bitter smile, and said, ”I’m okay, that person just now was really strong, I struggled to break free but couldn’t.”

Song Chi said, ”This place has been discovered too, we can’t stay here any longer.”

Zhou Yun sighed and said, ”We should avoid going out easily from now on. How did they find out about our whereabouts? We only moved here yesterday and they knew by today.”

”Maybe there’s someone here who leaked the information.” Song Chi meant the hotel staff.

When the two of them checked into the hotel, it was something the hotel staff couldn’t hide.

Usually, celebrities and artists would stay in higher-end hotels that have stricter training for their staff, demanding strict confidentiality about the privacy of guests, and with grave consequences if breached.

Zhou Yun chuckled and said, ”Forget it, it’s nothing. Anyway, I have to leave in a couple of days.”

After saying that, her phone rang. It was Zhou Lan calling. She had told Zhou Yun to meet in the room in ten minutes, but Zhou Yun got held up by reporters and was late. Zhou Yun said ”I’m coming up,” hung up the phone, and said to Song Chi, ”Let’s go up.”

Zhou Lan was waiting at their room door.

”Why did you two take so long?” Zhou Lan clicked his tongue twice and said, ”You must really be lovebirds in the throes of passion, can’t bear to be apart, huh?”

Zhou Yun explained, ”No, we ran into paparazzi downstairs just now and got entangled for a while.”

Zhou Lan asked in surprise, ”Paparazzi? How did they know you moved here? They have keen noses alright.”

Song Chi took out the room card, swiped the door open, and went in first.

Zhou Yun stayed behind to explain the situation to Zhou Lan, saying, ”Never mind that, the entertainment journalist looked petite and delicate, but she was very aggressive and strong, pressing us to answer questions. We refused to speak, and she grabbed my hand and wouldn’t let me go. If it wasn’t for the fact that I didn’t want to attract more attention, I would have called security right there.”

Because it happened right at the hotel entrance where people were coming and going, Zhou Yun didn’t want to draw attention, so she swallowed the insult.

Zhou Lan’s face darkened upon hearing this.

”Are these people sick in the head? Damn, they’re out of line!” Zhou Lan cursed, ”Wait, how did you shake them off in the end?”

Zhou Yun pointed at Song Chi and said, ”He scared them a bit.”

”Scared? How did he scare them?” Zhou Lan immediately asked.

Zhou Yun described the incident, saying, ”The paparazzi wouldn’t let go of my hand, right? Song Chi grabbed her hand and yanked it away, then warned them.”

As a professional agent, after hearing the description, Zhou Lan instantly realized the risk in the actions Song Chi and Zhou Yun had just taken – they could be misrepresented.

”Hold on, no, you also told me there was a photographer shooting. It won’t be good if they maliciously edit the footage.” Zhou Lan glanced at Song Chi, who still had a dark and serious expression, not as casual and friendly as usual, and seemed still angry. She said, ”Brother Chi, I think we need to prepare for this in advance to prevent being misrepresented.”

Song Chi: ”What do you want to do?”

Zhou Lan said, ”I’ll ask the hotel if there was surveillance where you confronted them earlier. If there’s surveillance footage, that would be best, as it can show what really happened. If there’s no surveillance, we should take the initiative. Xiao Yun, take some pictures of your wrist, keep them as evidence. I’ll go down and check for surveillance.”

The intention was to discuss Yu Zhiyang’s issue, but with this unexpected incident, they needed to protect themselves first.

Zhou Lan’s priorities were different.

Zhou Yun took out her phone, snapped several photos of her reddened wrist with nail marks, turned around, and saw Song Chi sitting on the sofa with a grim look, seemingly lost in thought.

”What’s wrong?” Zhou Yun approached and sat down beside Song Chi, asking.

Song Chi wrapped his arm around Zhou Yun’s shoulder, stroking it, and said, ”It’s nothing.”

”Tell me the truth, Song Chi. Don’t always say it’s nothing when I ask you what’s wrong.”

Song Chi sighed and said, ”I just feel very sorry that I didn’t protect you well in this situation.”

Hearing this, Zhou Yun hugged him and said, ”Not at all, you helped me shake off that annoying reporter. Before you stepped in, I was in despair. My goodness, how could she be so strong?”
