Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 368: Chapter 314: Rise: 150_3

Wei Heyun snorted coldly, mimicking Zhou Yun by folding his arms across his chest and said, ”You know I’m angry, yet you don’t come after me?”

Zhou Yun sneered speechlessly, ”Get your priorities straight, why should I come after you?”

”You made me angry!” Wei Heyun emphasized.

Zhou Yun hissed curiously, ”Wait a second, Wei Heyun, let me ask you, have you always had people coaxing you whenever you got angry from your childhood? No matter if you were right or wrong, everything just revolved around you.”

Wei Heyun detected strong sarcasm in Zhou Yun’s words.

”What are you trying to say?”

”What I’m saying is if you want someone to coax you, go find someone else. I’m not planning on indulging your temperament,” Zhou Yun declared coldly. ”Of course, as the so-called friend you emphasized, out of moral duty, I’ll also tell you this: speak properly, don’t be like a child losing your temper all the time. I’m not your nanny, not obliged to keep you happy.”

Wei Heyun glared at Zhou Yun for a few seconds, eventually muttering softly, ”Why so fierce?”

”Welcome to the real world.”

At this moment, the waiter came in with the menu.

”Please have a look at what you’d like to order.”

The young waiter glanced at Zhou Yun, seemingly finding him somewhat familiar, and gave him several more looks.

But in the end, the young waiter didn’t recognize Zhou Yun.

In her view, this pair of good-looking man and woman must be a couple.

Zhou Yun had no intention of passing the menu to Wei Heyun, perused it from top to bottom, reported a few dish names, handed back the menu, and said, ”That’s it, thank you.”

The waiter took back the menu and asked, ”Tea for both?”

”Just plain water for me,” Zhou Yun said.

Wei Heyun haughtily lifted his chin, ”Same.”

Once the waiter left, Wei Heyun asked, ”Hasn’t Song Chi ever told you that you have a bad temper?”

Zhou Yun rolled his eyes at Wei Heyun, ”Hasn’t anyone told you to shut your mouth when you can’t talk properly?”

Wei Heyun: ”...”

He found himself today like a target, relentlessly shot at by Zhou Yun’s machine gun firing relentlessly, leaving him battered.

Wei Heyun had a thought.

”You might be upset over something. Come on, tell me, maybe I can help you sort it out,” Wei Heyun boasted, patting his chest. ”You should’ve said earlier that you were feeling down, I told you, you’re my friend, your problems are my problems, I’ll definitely handle it for you.”

Zhou Yun: ”...Although I’m pleased to hear you say that, don’t make excuses for your childish, boorish behavior. I’m just showing you my true self because I’m close to you.”

Wei Heyun: ”...Forget it, coming to you today was like walking into the line of fire, feels like anything I say would be shot down by you.”

Zhou Yun remained silent.

Wei Heyun sniffed and asked, ”Do you often come to places like this to eat?”

”Not often,” Zhou Yun said frankly.

Wei Heyun said in surprise, ”I thought you seemed so familiar with the place, I assumed you come here often.”

”Where do I have the chance to go out to eat usually? I’m so busy I barely have time for meals, often just finding a corner to eat a box lunch,” Zhou Yun shared, ”I told you, today is my day off.”

”You choose such places to dine on your off day?”

”I take a day off to experience places and people that I don’t usually get to see,” corrected Zhou Yun. ”Don’t you think that the people you usually interact with, the places you often visit, don’t change much? Even if you meet new people, they aren’t much different from people you’ve known before, even if you go to new places, they aren’t much different from places you’ve been before.”

Wei Heyun thought about it carefully and felt Zhou Yun made a lot of sense.

”That’s true.”

”Yeah,” Zhou Yun said, ”So now you know why I chose to come here.”

”That’s quite interesting,” Wei Heyun’s eyes suddenly lit up, asking, ”Is this what they call poetic?”

”Poetic my foot, looking for novelty,” Zhou Yun scorned, ”Why do you always like to brand yourself? Even finding poetry in a small diner.”

Wei Heyun emphasized, ”I’m telling you, it’s really my first time coming to a place like this.”

”Oh.”

”If it weren’t for you, I really wouldn’t even enter such a place.”
