Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 375: Chapter 316: Period of Ascent: 152_2

”Cut it out, I don’t deal with trouble that I didn’t cause myself,” Zhou Yun said with hands crossed. ”I’m no pushover.”

Zhou Lan: ”I’m too lazy to argue with you, get up and come have dinner with me. I spent the whole day dealing with your stuff and haven’t even eaten yet. I’m starving.”

”Let’s go, I’ll take you to a great place!” Zhou Yun had only been here three days but already had the confidence and demeanor of a host.

...

One thing that Zhou Lan found amazing was that whether it was online or in reality, the love affair between Zhou Yun and Song Chi was the talk of the town. Everyone was discussing it while the parties themselves acted as if nothing happened, eating and drinking without a care about these discussions.

Zhou Yun seemed really to behave this way; whether receiving awards before or now having her romance revealed, she seemed quite indifferent.

On the contrary, Zhou Yun began to ask about her own affairs.

”How are things going with your photographer?”

Zhou Lan took a bite of grilled fish and after finishing, she said, ”It’s fine, pretty good.”

Zhou Yun, curious, asked, ”You both must travel frequently for work, right?”

”Yep,” nodded Zhou Lan. ”I need to travel as the job demands, and he often has to run around the country, sometimes even abroad.”

”I really want to see what kind of person he is, to have tamed you.”

In Zhou Yun’s eyes, Zhou Lan had always been a very capable, professional woman, acting decisively, and even when vulnerable, she still had the spirit of ’prefer to shatter like a gem rather than remain whole like a tile.’

Zhou Yun was curious to see what she was like in a relationship.

Does she act coy?

These past few days, Zhou Yun and Song Chi had been together every day, an experience she’d never had in her life.

Being closely and intimately together with someone for a long time, she’d let her guard down completely.

At that moment, Zhou Yun’s phone rang.

It was Song Chi.

Zhou Yun answered the call.

”Where are you?” asked Song Chi.

”Out and about, Sister Lan is here, she asked me to take her out for some food.” Zhou Yun, smiling, said, ”Are you off now?”

”Yeah, just reached the hotel, I’ll come over to you guys,” said Song Chi. ”Send me the address.”

Zhou Yun agreed.

”Song Chi is coming over,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Lan frowned and questioned, ”I’m almost done eating, what’s he coming over for?”

”To pay the bill,” Zhou Yun confidently stated.

Zhou Lan: ”...I seriously suspect you are just flaunting your affection on purpose.”

”Indeed, you know me best!” Zhou Yun laughed, her eyes turning into crescents.

”Just don’t be too love-struck.”

”With you here, that won’t be an opportunity,” Zhou Yun winked at Zhou Lan. ”Same goes for you.”

Zhou Lan laughed and rolled her eyes.

”There’s a reporter I’m quite familiar with who wants to schedule an interview with you. Will you do it?” she asked.

”At this time, it must be about the romance, no, let’s not,” Zhou Yun shook her head. ”Though I’m not hiding it anymore, I still don’t want to expose the details. Sister Lan, can you help me deflect this?”

”I had the same thought. I’ll be aware in future interviews,” said Zhou Lan. ”We won’t talk about the romance with Song Chi. I just don’t know about Song Chi’s side.”

Zhou Yun: ”He hasn’t done an interview in a long time.”

Zhou Lan nodded.

Especially since early this year, after an affair involving a close senior was exposed, Song Chi’s reputation had been tarnished, and he hadn’t appeared in front of the media ever since. He just focused on acting and managing his company, even avoiding TV appearances.

”Many show producers, directors, and hosts want you on their programs,” Zhou Lan said. ”The offers are very generous. We should pick a few to go on. We can’t just avoid all appearances as that would create a bad impression.”

Zhou Yun said distressfully, ”Let’s wait till I finish shooting, maybe in November.”

”Your schedule in November is packed, and in December you have to shoot ’Falling Leaves,’” Zhou Lan explained. ”One of the shows is hosted by Lew Yuan, didn’t he tell you?”

”No,” Zhou Yun shook her head. ”Since Brother Lew Yuan’s show has extended an invitation, I should go. Does the timing work?”

Zhou Lan nodded, ”Yes, it fits right before you join the cast of ’Gentle Little Horse.’”

Zhou Yun said, ”I’m not worried about Lew Yuan’s show, people won’t set traps to ask about romance, haha.”
