Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 362: Chapter 312: Ascending Phase: 148_4

”Someone on Weibo just said they ran into Zhou Yun,” the actor who mentioned Zhou Yun was here showed her phone to another person, ”Look, this Weibo post was made ten minutes ago.”

”How did you come across this real-time Weibo post?”

”I had some free time, so I searched for Zhou Yun. I really like her and often look up stuff about her online.”

...

Fan Zhu’s brows knitted instantly.

Her features carried a sort of charm; every frown and smile was beauty itself.

She looked toward Song Chi, who was sitting in a distant corner in his costume, casually and lazily perched on a chair, script in hand, seemingly studying the scene to be shot next.

There were quite a few men in the entertainment industry who looked as strikingly handsome as Song Chi, but that superficial charm often lacked deep allure.

Fan Zhu often found her thoughts swaying after a single indifferent glance from Song Chi, carved by the casual and detached air about him.

In truth, those in the know understand that an air of nonchalance is a magnetic trait.

It isn’t just overt passion that stirs the heart.

Fan Zhu hadn’t pondered truly starting something with Song Chi, but sometimes, without control, she would feel jealous of someone else, imagining herself into certain roles, treating the real deal as a hypothetical rival—all solo acts she played well and knew by heart.

Fan Zhu thought that no matter what, at least under her watch, Song Chi belonged to no one. So in her mind, there was some justification for secretly claiming him for herself.

But then Zhou Yun showed up.

Could she still continue this self-deceptive fantasy?

Fan Zhu’s distaste for Zhou Yun grew rampant in her heart like wild weeds.

The more such feelings grew, the stronger the fire ignited within Fan Zhu, driving her toward Song Chi.

She knew people would certainly whisper, ”Look, Fan Zhu is heading towards Song Chi again. Why is she humiliating herself?”

Even so, she didn’t care anymore.

Fan Zhu approached Song Chi and said, ”Xiao Song, your girlfriend came to visit the set. Why don’t you arrange a welcoming meal to let us all get acquainted with her?”

Song Chi raised his eyebrows and looked up, his eyes filled with distant unfamiliarity.

”What?”

”Still playing dumb,” Fan Zhu huffed, adopting an elder’s posture, ”Stop pretending. The netizens have already captured it; Zhou Yun walked into the hotel where you’re staying ten minutes ago.”

Song Chi’s expression remained calm as he paused, then with a slight smile, he said, ”Sister Zhuzhu, let’s talk about this later. The next scene is about to shoot, and I haven’t got my lines down yet. I need to memorize them now.”

His attitude was as always, polite yet distant.

Fan Zhu felt a bit upset, but no matter how upset she was, it wouldn’t help; she could not afford to show a poor attitude to Song Chi.

”Well, then you memorize your lines, I won’t disturb you.” Fan Zhu left with a perfect smile.

Song Chi’s expression remained unchanged from beginning to end.

Once Fan Zhu was out of sight, he pulled out his phone and opened the chat window with Zhou Yun.

His gaze paused on the last message: Alright, message me once you finish.

Song Chi thought for a moment, then asked: Where are you now?

Zhou Yun replied quickly: At home, where else could I be?

Song Chi: ”...”

He probably understood what was going on.

Guess she wanted... to surprise him?

A hint of a smile played on Song Chi’s lips.

He typed: Don’t wait up for me, I’ll probably be up late tonight.

Zhou Yun showed ”typing” for quite a while, taking a full minute to reply: I see, so... what time do you finish? I wanted to call you.

Song Chi said: Not sure yet, I’ll message you when I’m done. If it’s too late, I’ll call you in the morning.

Zhou Yun: Alright.

Song Chi then asked: Have you had dinner?

Zhou Yun: Just had a cake.

Song Chi: Director is calling me, I’ll go over now.

Zhou Yun: Ok, you’re busy, take care.

Song Chi exited the chat interface, a glint in his eyes, and dialed Zhou Lan’s number.
