Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 359: Chapter 312: Rising Phase: 148

Everyone looked at each other.

Since Zhou Yun asked this question, her intentions were somewhat clear.

She was not very satisfied with anyone who came today; she had chosen Yu Zhiyang.

Zheng Xiaowen said, ”Xiao Yun, since he has already given up, it means he doesn’t value our play. Is there still a need to give him another chance?”

In Zheng Xiaowen’s view, since this person named Yu Zhiyang had given up, it meant he was no longer planning to come.

Although she is a designer, she has managed to elevate VX to its current status at a young age largely because of her ruthless nature. Compared to what many might think as emotional, Zheng Xiaowen often keeps such personal feelings to herself and those she needs to impress, like Zhou Yun.

For an obscure person like Yu Zhiyang, it shouldn’t be her giving him opportunities, but him seizing every opportunity himself.

Zhou Yun’s usual attitude is actually not unlike Zheng Xiaowen’s. From what she said the other day, ”Mutual consent,” it’s evident that she also upholds the life attitude that ”one should be responsible for oneself.”

You were given the opportunity, if you didn’t seize it, you can’t blame anyone else.

But, Yu Zhiyang is a bit different.

Does Yu Zhiyang have the power to decide on his own matters?

It is precisely because of this doubt that Zhou Yun had a different attitude than usual.

A voice in her heart tells her very clearly that she cannot just let Yu Zhiyang end up without issue.

It’s a strange thought, but she was certain.

That evening, she had dinner with Zhou Lan and He Yong.

He Yong said he had something to discuss with them. Zhou Yun thought it must be about Yu Zhiyang.

Indeed, as soon as He Yong spoke, he asked, ”Xiao Yun, what about Yu Zhiyang attracted you so much?”

Zhou Yun simply replied, ”Nothing much, I just appreciate him.”

Zhou Lan glanced at her, sighed, and said, ”President He, it’s not that the others are not good, but those who came for the auditions today all have a very pronounced imprint. How they smile, how they speak, how they control their movements and postures, their demeanor is also very uniform. I don’t know if you understand what I mean, but Yu Zhiyang has a different aura. He is like those boys you can see in schools, having an innate naturalness without being sculpted. Zhou Yun and he once shot a commercial together, and I was there, he was indeed good, standing next to Zhou Yun, he has a strong screen presence.”

He Yong asked, ”Is Zhou Jianfeng definitely not suitable?”

Zhou Lan fell silent.

That question could only be answered by Zhou Yun herself.

Zhou Yun told He Yong, ”President He, Zhou Jianfeng also auditioned twice, did he ever look directly into my eyes?”

He Yong was taken aback.

Zhou Yun said, ”You know, sitting there today, I had a particular feeling, that is, I am not really someone they would like. In their eyes, I could only see respect and admiration, I know, I shouldn’t dwell on these things, but I need a male lead who can treat me as a normal person, the authenticity that comes out in the performance won’t move the audience.”

After listening, He Yong sighed and said, ”You mean you’ve set your sights on Yu Zhiyang?”

Zhou Yun said, ”For now, yes, unless someone more suitable appears.”

He Yong said, ”Alright then, I’ll see if I can bring him over, if not, I guess his company won’t let him go. Zhou Lan already briefed me on his situation, it’s a bit complicated, not easy to handle. If it were a normal market transaction it would be different, they clearly don’t want Yu Zhiyang to become famous, signing Yu Zhiyang wasn’t for making money, I still don’t know how to handle this.”

Zhou Lan said, ”Actually, there is a breakthrough. The reason Yu Zhiyang’s resume came to us is because his agent sent it over. His agent probably doesn’t want to see him held back for ten years, still trying to find some opportunities for him, the notification on Luo Hengzhang’s side was made by his agent. However, the reason Yu Zhiyang didn’t come today, I found out, is because his boss doesn’t want him to act in this play.”

”Because they don’t want him to become famous?” Zhou Yun asked.

”No,” Zhou Lan shook his head, looking at Zhou Yun, said, ”She doesn’t want Yu Zhiyang to act as a couple with you.”
