Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 296: Chapter 294: Special Treasure

Just as a Cloud Whale was about to crash to the ground, the Big Sis quickly took out a vial of purple potion and forcefully jabbed it into the Cloud Whale, allowing it to fly once more.

However, at this moment, the way the Big Sis looked at Gu Xi had completely changed.

Previously, she was merely dissatisfied, but now it was filled with murderous intent.

Yet, in the end, she suppressed the killing intent in her heart for a lifetime and said, ”Grab the stuff and leave; we’ll kill this guy after we get the treasure.”

Having issued the command, the Big Sis took one last look at Gu Xi, trying to remember what he looked like.

But when she lowered her head to look at Gu Xi, she found him smiling at her.

The Big Sis was startled and was about to issue a command, but it was already too late.

Thirty Red Dragons flew out from the city gate and, with incredible speed, rushed toward the Cloud Whale.

Then thirty Red Dragons unleashed a fierce fire breath at the Cloud Whale.

The Flaming Dragon Breath instantly melted two Cloud Whales.

The Big Sis stood at the forefront of the Cloud Whale, becoming the primary target of the Flaming Dragon Breath. Although, as a demon, they had a high resistance to fire, thirty Red Dragons were something else entirely.

Their Dragon Breath came wave after wave.

At the first wave of attacks, the demons on the Cloud Whale were instantly burned to ash.

Next, the Cloud Whales, covered in steel, found their biggest weakness—under the Flaming Dragon Breath, the steel melted, and even the Cloud Whales, protected by the steel, were melted with it, finally turning into blocks of iron that crashed heavily to the ground.

As for the Big Sis, under the assault of the Dragon Breath, she managed to hold on for only twenty seconds before bursting into flames.

Thirty seconds later, she had been turned to ash before even reaching the ground, not leaving a single corpse behind.

[Xing Yuyu of Qiufeng City has fallen.]

In such a situation, Gu Xi could say nothing; he merely glanced at the spot where the melted Cloud Whale fell and then turned his attention to the mummies.

As for the demon players, Gu Xi had already shown his hand, so he decided not to hold back any longer. After the thirty Red Dragons killed the strongest enemy, they did not return to the city but instead charged toward the Demon Corps.

Those demon players never expected Gu Xi to be this ferocious.

Not to mention the legions of Undead, and there are also Dragons.

And he released thirty at once.

Is this the kind of military power a normal player could muster?

At the thought of this, all demon players were inclined to retreat.

But Gu Xi wasn’t about to let them leave.

Anyone daring to challenge him must be killed.

And so, as the Red Dragons flew towards the demon players, two of Gu Xi’s heroes received new orders to kill all the enemies and prevent them from escaping.

Upon hearing the command, both Amirka and Robbie swiftly charged forward, relentlessly attacking the demons around them and deploying their forces to pursue the fleeing demon players.

At this time, Gu Xi began his work, using the corpses on the battlefield to temporarily summon the undead to replenish his lost troops.

The undead he had just summoned, Gu Xi didn’t immediately incorporate into his own forces; instead, he sent them all out.

In Gu Xi’s eyes, these newly summoned undead only had Level 2 strength, and their combat power was not yet strong. To incorporate them into the troops would only harm them.

Now, it was about letting them gain some experience on the battlefield. Once their level increased to Level 3, they would have their professions, officially becoming part of Gu Xi’s force, and then the Undead Boss would recruit them based on their capabilities.

For now, they were there to clean up the battlefield.

As the number of Gu Xi’s undead increased, each demon player fell under the siege of Gu Xi’s forces.

[Gu Yi of Cold Leaf City has fallen!]

[Wan Liuquan of Cold Leaf City has fallen!]

[Bai Xuedong of Cold Leaf City has fallen!]

[...]

With each demon player’s fall, the battle at the mummy’s side also came to an end.

Having killed the mummy, Arroyo pushed it off the palanquin.

And Gu Xi saw what was beneath the mummy.

It was a fist-sized purple crystal.

The appearance of this crystal attracted everyone’s attention nearby.

Even the undead under Gu Xi couldn’t help but turn their heads toward the crystal.

Gu Xi realized that this crystal must be something valuable, and the demoness who came on the Cloud Whale was here for it.

So, Gu Xi immediately stepped in front of the crystal and picked it up.

[You have obtained Solidified Purple Gold Liquid (Treasure)]

[Solidified Purple Gold Liquid (Treasure): A Golden Liquid from a mysterious figure; you can use it as a tool to strengthen your subordinates, or take it as a clue to find the existence of that mysterious figure.]

[Note: When you hold the Purple Gold Liquid, everyone’s attention will fall on you.]

Reading this description, Gu Xi raised an eyebrow, attracting everyone’s attention?

This was indeed an interesting turn.

As Gu Xi pondered, he began issuing new orders to his subordinates.

Under Gu Xi’s orders, his cannon fodder soldiers began cleaning up the battlefield.

Although Gu Xi had converted most demon soldiers on-site into his undead forces, there were still some special corpses that he hadn’t touched.

Gu Xi’s Soul Summoning Skill hasn’t reached Level 8 yet. For ordinary corpses, he can directly transform them and produce special undead.

For instance, demons like those Little Demons holding Fireballs or Enchanting Demons can be transformed into Skeleton Mages. Or Hellhounds can become Rotting Skin Wolves, which appeared before.

Thus, Gu Xi did not waste anything; everything that could be transformed was completely transformed.

As for those that couldn’t be transformed, or appeared very powerful, Gu Xi didn’t enforce summoning. Instead, he planned to take these corpses back to Yalidu City.

He intended to preserve these corpses until he leveled up his Undead Research or other skills, and when he advanced sufficiently in researching undead or creating special undead, he would take them out to use.

Among them, the three Cyclops corpses were the priority, along with the mummy being sent back by Gu Xi.

Additionally, the melted Cloud Whale and the demon player corpses were all within Gu Xi’s scope of selection.

After spending a little time to clean up the battlefield, Gu Xi began orchestrating the retreat of his troops.

Since the three heroes had their own missions, Gu Xi first released them to return.

But the newly transformed undead, Gu Xi left them all.

Also remaining were the thirty Red Dragons.

Gu Xi already understood that since he had revealed the trump card of the Red Dragons, he might as well keep them outside to attract others’ attention.

As for whether he would be besieged, Gu Xi was not afraid.
