Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 274: Chapter 272: Occupying Yalidov

Still no power, it’s been two days, I’m writing this on my phone, please give your support!

_____

Gu Xi paused for a moment; he still needed to occupy the main hall himself?

Couldn’t Luna have done it?

Though confused, Gu Xi nonetheless turned around and headed in the direction of the Alidovita Central Fortress.

His undead also followed suit, and no one had time to sort out the chaotic battlefield.

”Why are you following me? Go clean up the battlefield, handle the injured troops. If you don’t, the undead won’t be able to self-recover.”

Seeing all his subordinates crowding around him, Gu Xi was speechless, ”Can’t you guys go guard the city gate?

We haven’t completely taken this place yet. If you don’t deal with it now, are you waiting for a surprise attack on our base?”

Under Gu Xi’s orders, Robbie and Arroyo quickly led the troops away.

From the direction they were heading, it seemed they truly took Gu Xi’s orders to heart.

Robbie rapidly made his way towards the nearest tower, clearly intending to scout out the situation inside.

Arroyo, on the other hand, led his troops around the large pit created by the explosion, arriving in front of the gate of the Yaliduvi Tower.

It was clear they were preparing to prevent any enemy from attacking the Yaliduvi Tower.

Meanwhile, Gu Xi’s various undead lackeys began cleaning up the battlefield, gathering items they hadn’t had time to collect earlier.

After two consecutive battles without tidying up the field, although the recent explosion surely destroyed some items, there was plenty left to keep them occupied for a while.

After dispersing his troops, Gu Xi then entered the Central Fortress.

Upon entering, Gu Xi finally understood why he needed to occupy the main hall himself to claim the Alidovita Tower.

It turned out that this Central Fortress was too large; just the ground level had three floors, with towers at each corner of the top. The northeast corner’s tower was circular, while the other three were square, serving as a combination of defense, work, and residence.

Upon entering, Gu Xi noticed each door marked with the function of each room.

However, the more he observed, the more he felt this place was larger than a maze.

This fortress had rooms for almost every function imaginable, even a St. John’s Church on the second floor.

Who knows what they were thinking during its construction.

Nevertheless, this Central Fortress truly impressed Gu Xi.

At the center of the Central Fortress, Gu Xi finally located the core area near the main hall, the British Royal Residence.

Upon entering, Gu Xi finally understood why he needed to come and occupy the main hall himself.

If you haven’t walked through it, you have no idea how large this main hall is.

Nor how many rooms needed to be claimed inside.

After entering the Central Fortress, Gu Xi placed an undead in each room.

Though he couldn’t guarantee someone in every room, he could at least ensure there was a ghost.

Once personnel filled all rooms in the Central Fortress, Gu Xi finally heard a voice.

[Temporary Mission: Core of Transition task completed, main hall fully occupied.]

[Temporary Mission: Core of Transition (completed)]

[Mission Rewards: Random Undead Architectural Design (Large) * 3, Core Architectural Design * 1.]

[Note 1: The Yaliduvi Tower, as a castle, can only be deployed on the battlefield when Death City reaches Level 17.]

[Note 2: As the military core controlling Yalidu City, the Yaliduvi Tower connects different eras of Yalidu City, now accessible through the Tudor and York eras.]

[Note 3: The Yaliduvi Tower is both a massive maze and a vast treasury, with each building housing its history and countless treasures. Please search for the relevant information; otherwise, you can only occupy the White Tower as the Central Fortress.]

[Note 4: The opened gate will also attract the attention of enemies.]

Relieved by the completion of the temporary mission, Gu Xi finally felt at ease; this battle was truly over.

Simultaneously, four different styled jewels appeared before Gu Xi.

These seemed to be the random undead architectural designs mentioned in the reward.

Among the four jewels, what most caught Gu Xi’s attention was a square black gemstone.

In fact, it should be a sapphire, but its color was somewhat dark, appearing black at first glance.

As Gu Xi reached out to pick up the gemstone, a sharp wailing echoed in his mind.

[Star Curtain Graveyard (Large): Use 2500 resources, 10 units of stone, and 10 units of wood to construct a Star Curtain Graveyard (Large Building) within the city.

Once completed, 20 zombies can be trained weekly.

Construction requires a Level 1 Evil Temple (Large) beforehand.]

This information also brought Gu Xi some relief, as it provided a graveyard for zombie training. Although uncertain why the graveyard was linked to the star curtain, it at least addressed the training gap for Gu Xi’s undead corps.

A source for zombie training was now available, and even a full setup for ghost training existed, along with resources for vampires. The next step was to find training tombs for the Corpse Witch and Witch Demon.

Let’s hope the next two provide good news.

Gu Xi reached out for a hawk-shaped ring.

[Eagle-Catching Spider’s Nest (Large): Use 2500 resources, 10 units of stone, and 10 units of wood to build an Eagle-Catching Spider’s Nest (Large Building) in the city.

Once completed, 20 Black Ebony Spiders can be trained weekly.

Construction requires a Level 1 Evil Temple (Large) beforehand.]

Spiders?

Gu Xi involuntarily paused, carefully considering this, realizing that spiders indeed counted as a kind of undead. However, typically, only undead mages who followed a poison element path would choose this.

It’s akin to the Corpse Poison Fly Liu Kai gave Gu Xi, all fall under the category of poison-bearing soldiers.

Gu Xi had no intentions to follow that path, making the appearance of this building design untimely.

Yet, upon further thought, this could actually fit perfectly in the Magic Plant District. That area’s environment wasn’t suitable for other undead species, but spiders were different; their survival abilities were strong enough to be stationed there.

As for the land issue, it was no longer a concern for Gu Xi.

Leaving the Yaliduvi Tower could connect Gu Xi’s Yalidu City, with access to Tudor and York era Yalidu City. Imagine the land area potentially available.

Plus, with the lands shrouded in mist outside Yalidu City, Gu Xi didn’t need to worry about insufficient building plots. The concern was more about lacking enough architectural design plans and resources.

As long as there were sufficient resources, Gu Xi believed he could build everything needed.

Then, Gu Xi’s city zoning would not just follow areas, but could even be divided by eras.

Just the thought of it was appealing.
