Carrying the body of Eldest Princess Anna, Gu Xi, along with Luna, rushed back to the main city district.

At this moment, the soldiers near the city gate of the main district were thinking about how to return to Victoria City, and once back, how to explain the incident at Westminster Cathedral.

This is a major event, as Westminster Cathedral is normally used as the primary cathedral for the British Royal Family’s coronation.

Losing Westminster Cathedral is akin to the Chinese Emperor losing the Celestial Altar; even if you ascend the throne, no one will recognize you as legitimate.

Unless you build another one.

And a cathedral like Westminster cannot be built in a short time.

Some situations, for the big shots behind these soldiers, represent both opportunities and challenges.

If they hadn’t still been in Yalidov City, they might have already wanted to spread the news.

But when they saw Gu Xi carrying back the body of Eldest Princess Anna, they were all stunned.

All the enthusiastic soldiers who wanted to send back the news knelt on one knee by the roadside, welcoming the remains of Eldest Princess Anna.

”Come with me, we are preparing to go to Victoria City, but there might be something that needs your help.”

”Please, sir.”

”Something has happened in Victoria City now, and as you see, I’ve been entrusted to return the body of Eldest Princess Anna to the Royal Family, but I don’t know the way, so I need you to pave the way for me and protect the return of Eldest Princess Anna.”

Gu Xi said to the soldiers.

”Rest assured, sir, protecting the Eldest Princess is the wish of all of us. Even if you didn’t say anything, we would have followed along.”

”Alright, follow me.”

Gu Xi waved at them and led them towards a small house connecting to Victoria City.

Because Gu Xi has not yet exited the side quest of the Westminster Cathedral major event, although the quest has been destroyed, the connection with Westminster Cathedral has not yet been interrupted.

According to causality, he is the closest to Victoria City at this moment.

Once he exits the quest, he can reach Victoria City.

Then, his Furnace Stone will not be affected by the changes in Victoria City and will not prevent people from passing through.

”This is the place. Once the furnace fire is lit, you guys send someone ahead. I have a small building on the Victoria side.

Please help clear the surrounding enemies after you come out, to ensure the safety of the road.”

Among the soldiers, some knowledgeable ones knew about the Furnace Stone.

One of them asked, ”Where is your small building located?”

”Camden District, at the intersection of Northumberland Avenue.”

At Gu Xi’s words, the soldiers immediately realized the location.

”That’s quite far from Windsor Griffin Castle, and if we exit from there, we still have to cross the river, exit the city, and advance a distance in the wild, which might be a bit difficult.”

”No matter how difficult, we must send the Eldest Princess back. Besides, on our way to send back Eldest Princess Anna, we are bound to encounter ambushes. Please put in your full effort then.”

Gu Xi gave them another look, still uncertain about the current situation in Victoria City.

But one thing is sure, the present Victoria City must still be under a zombie siege.

If it is as those people said, covering such a long distance might be challenging.

These soldiers, who were just rescued, might not even survive the fight in Victoria City.

While Gu Xi was contemplating this, those soldiers were already agitated.

”Rest assured, this is our duty, after all.”

”Exactly, whoever tries to block our way, let them die.”

”If my dad knew that I could escort the Eldest Princess all the way to Windsor Griffin Castle, he would be proud even if I died in battle.”

”...”

Under the discussions of the soldiers in threes and fours, Gu Xi gave the order.

”Alright then, who goes first?”

”I’ll go. I’ve used this type of Furnace Stone before; I know how to handle it.”

Hearing this, a soldier jumped out.

”Then I’ll be the second...”

”I’ll be third...”

The soldiers didn’t need Gu Xi to arrange them; they organized the queue themselves.

Gu Xi and the body of Eldest Princess Anna would cross over last.

As for the soldiers under Gu Xi, they didn’t need to be brought along as, once in Victoria City, Gu Xi could deploy them at any time through the city gate deployment method.

After all the soldiers had crossed over using the Furnace Stone, Gu Xi turned to Luna and said.

”After I cross over, send the body of Eldest Princess Anna. Then prepare the troops and wait at the city gate; I fear a battle is impending.”

”Understood.”

Luna agreed to Gu Xi’s request without saying much.

To prevent losing Eldest Princess Anna’s remains in the Void, Gu Xi specifically held her hand, stepping into the Furnace Stone with her.

Upon stepping within the influence of the Furnace Stone, Gu Xi felt a sudden darkness before him, as if he entered a dark passage, with only a glimmer of light shining ahead.

Gu Xi tried moving forward but found himself unable to budge at all.

This situation made him quite uncomfortable, and as he was about to struggle again, he felt a powerful force from behind, pushing him out of the dark space.

When his vision brightened, Gu Xi was assaulted by the smell of unburnt sulfur.

Looking up, he realized he had traveled from Yalidov to Victoria City.

Originally, Victoria City’s skies were shrouded mainly with thick clouds.

Now, Victoria City’s skies were different, the clouds dyed blood red.

Black powder, like snowflakes, rained down from the sky— Gu Xi merely reached out his hand, finding it covered in black dust.

Upon closer inspection, a thin layer of this powder already coated the ground.

But what puzzled Gu Xi was his current location.

He recalled placing his Furnace Stone at the first floor hearth of his small building; he should have appeared inside that building.

What was happening, why did the surroundings look like the wilderness, where were the buildings around him?

Could something spooky have happened, causing a misdirection in his teleportation?

It couldn’t be this unlucky.

As Gu Xi was about to grumble, a voice from Shaya emerged not far away.

”Sir, over here, we are here.”

Gu Xi saw Shaya waving at him from a sewer entrance, with a few soldiers who had just exited Yalidov City standing behind.

Upon seeing the remains of Eldest Princess Anna brought by Gu Xi, the soldiers quickly climbed out of the sewer, lifting the remains and proceeding towards the sewer direction.
