Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 390, Testing the Shadow Dragon King’s Power

Lu Fan could not suppress his smile anymore, making Ye Wuxian look at him helplessly from the side as she said, “It is clear that this Pet Dragon must be very powerful. Otherwise, you wouldn’t be grinning so much.”

“Hehe,” Lu Fan wiped his mouth, his smile almost overflowing, “He is indeed extraordinary. For any Player, he is an absolute nightmare. Why don’t we go and test out how strong he is?”

“Great!” Ye Wuxian was delighted to hear this.

She knew Lu Fan probably would not create an Item Panel to show her the Dragon’s Attributes directly. However, him taking her to test the Shadow Dragon King’s power would still be quite eye-opening.

Lu Fan opened his Territory Management Panel and quickly located a suitable Shadow Dragon Generals for the Shadow Dragon King to practice with.

This Boss was second only to the Shadow Dragon Human King on Shadow Isle in terms of power. They were naturally a formidable force. Even Lu Fan had spent some time defeating one.

On Shadow Isle, all Monsters could be spawned, just with different Cooldowns. The more powerful the Monster, the longer the time it took for more to spawn.

For instance, regular Shadow Swordsmen could spawn a thousand per day, up to a maximum limit. While the unique Bosses like Stage Bosses or the Final Boss could only have one existing at a time, and their Respawn Cooldown was quite long. Thus, the Shadow Dragon Human King had not even Respawned yet.

However, the Shadow Dragon General, though weaker than the Shadow Dragon Human King, had just respawned today, making him perfect as a tool to test the Shadow Dragon King’s power.

The Shadow Dragon General was at the inner city gate of Shadow Isle, not far from Lu Fan’s location. So, Lu Fan did not bother moving the Shadow Dragon General here.

Conveniently, the Shadow Dragon King was at the same Level as Xiao Cui, having entered his Maturing Period and could be ridden.

Lu Fan equipped him with the Dragon Saddle, mounted him, and entered his Riding State.

Instantly, over 90,000 points of Agility were shared with Lu Fan, making him feel lighter than ever before.

[This feeling! Absolutely incredible!]

Lu Fan could responsibly confirm that the Shadow Dragon King was absolutely the most suitable Mount out of all the Dragons. No comparison was needed.

“Let’s go Senior Sister. Follow me. I’m leading him to a Boss to let him kill it to test just how powerful he really is.” Lu Fan smiled as he called to Ye Wuxian, then patted the Shadow Dragon King, signaling him to take flight.

The Shadow Dragon King was very quiet, not making a single sound since the beginning, like a mute. He did not verbally respond to Lu Fan’s commands, but his actions held no hesitation.

His blade-like wings spread out, and with a gentle flap, blades of wind burst forth, leaving countless foot-deep cuts in the ground before the Shadow Dragon King carried Lu Fan into the air, flying toward the Shadow Dragon General’s location.

In an instant, the Shadow Dragon King and Lu Fan seemed to vanish from their original spot, flying an extreme distance. And this was merely the Shadow Dragon King’s normal flying speed, without using any Skills!

Ye Wuxian was shocked by Lu Fan’s speed, only reacting after a moment to stamp her foot angrily and complain. “Lu Fan, why are you going so fast? Wait for me!”

With that, Ye Wuxian also used Flight to chase after Lu Fan.

Actually, Lu Fan had not intentionally left her behind, it was just that the Shadow Dragon King’s Agility was too high. His speed was too fast, making it difficult even for Lu Fan to control.

If Xiao Ye was like an executive sedan, stable and comfortable to drive, then the Shadow Dragon King was definitely a top-tier supercar – just a slight tap on the gas would instantly shot him forward.

Such speed reminded Lu Fan of that time in the Far North, when he had been chased by a black shadow under the lake, having to repeatedly use Void Break to escape.

If Lu Fan returned to the Far North now, he was fully confident he could ride the Shadow Dragon King and properly race around that black shadow.

It took Lu Fan quite a while to barely get used to the Shadow Dragon King’s speed, but in just this short time, he had already flown to the inner city gate and could even see the Shadow Dragon General.

While Ye Wuxian was pursuing at her fastest speed, she had already been left so far behind that Lu Fan could not see her.

Lu Fan smiled and controlled the Shadow Dragon King to turn around.

The Shadow Dragon King’s turning speed was just as impressive as his flying speed. With a dive in the air, he changed direction to fly toward Ye Wuxian.

As the Shadow Dragon King turned, his sharp wings cut through the sky, sending out sword-like wind blades that completely leveled a patch of ruins below.

This was not a Skill, it was purely because the Shadow Dragon King’s body was too sharp, like a weapon that could hurt others with the slightest carelessness.

Lu Fan also feared this Dragon might hurt Ye Wuxian when he turned. So he ordered him to slow down.

[Boy, if you don;t slow down, how can Senior Sister catch up?]

Flying at what he considered a ‘turtle’s pace’, the Shadow Dragon King finally reunited with Ye Wuxian. Though, whether he complained in his mind was for only him to know.

The two people and one Dragon flew together to the inner city, arriving at the Shadow Dragon General.

Ye Wuxian obediently retreated to one side to see just how powerful Lu Fan’s new Pet Dragon was, and whether it was a match for this Level 95 Diamond Grade Boss.

Meanwhile, Lu Fan rode the Shadow Dragon King circling in the air, using his Territory Master’s ability to set the Shadow Dragon General to actively attack him.

Without being set, the Shadow Dragon General would be like Lu Fan’s Summon and would not actively attack him.

Since he wanted to test the Shadow Dragon King’s Combat Power, Lu Fan naturally could not find a training dummy that would not fight back. That would make the test meaningless.

After making the Shadow Dragon General actively hostile toward himself, Lu Fan also summoned Xiao Cui, letting her hover in her Soul Light Form above himself and the Shadow Dragon King.

Since this was an experiment, naturally they should experiment with multiple things.

For instance, whether Xiao Cui’s Dragon Qi Attack and Dragon Qi Defence would reveal the Shadow Dragon King’s position after he used Concealment.

At the same time, Lu Fan also wanted to know just how terrifying the Shadow Dragon King’s Burst Damage could be after receiving Xiao Cui’s Buffs.
