Chapter 592 - 575: Getting Beaten at Your Own Door
Chapter 592: Chapter 575: Getting Beaten at Your Own Door

In this jungle, she found a tiger and learned the tiger form from it. Mu Ying then went to the nearest camp and took the Transmission Array to the regions inhabited by lions and leopards, finding a pride and a leopard to learn from.

Three months later, Mu Ying had finally mastered these three animal forms.

To save time, she then took the Transmission Array to the Su Mu Camp, which bordered Xia Country and Bear Country to the north, and from there took a Flying Carpet to the Birch Forest where she had previously seen the Tiger Clan Beastmen.

The Birch Forest was still lush, but the Beastman Tribe’s rooftops had collapsed in several places, and the wild grass had grown knee-high,

Extending her Perception into the tribe, Mu Ying thoroughly inspected the area and found not a single useful thing left behind; it seemed the Tiger Clan Beastmen had moved, and a while ago at that.

When she spread her Perception farther, indeed, the number of wild animals in the Birch Forest was surprisingly low.

It was the fourth year of the apocalypse, and not only had humans evolved, but plants, animals, and even the whole world as well. The number of wild animals had exploded in comparison to before the apocalypse, and their strength had also increased. The current state of the Birch Forest was clearly abnormal.

It appeared that the Tiger Clan Beastmen moved due to a lack of sufficient food nearby.

After all, with bodies as strong as wild beasts and a wisdom far surpassing that of animals, where Beastmen resided for long, wild animals either fled or were eaten by the Beastmen.

Unable to feed themselves properly, the Beastmen then had no choice but to move elsewhere.

Mu Ying utilized Inquire Nature to probe the direction in which the Tiger Clan Beastmen had left and followed after them.

It didn’t take long before she found them in a mountain forest on the border of Xia Country.

They seemed to have just arrived recently, as their settlement was only half-constructed.

Without saying much, Mu Ying cast the Stone Skin Technique, Divine Movement Technique, and a full set of Enhanced Attributes on herself—the entire series of auxiliary spells she could use. Though she was going to fight in animal form without employing Magic Attacks, these few auxiliary spells weren’t conspicuous when used on herself. The Beastmen would just consider their effects as her own physical strength, without any suspicion.

Finally, after casting animal conversation on herself, Mu Ying descended fifty meters outside the Tiger Clan Beastman Tribe’s fence.

It was said that this distance was the limit for the Tiger Clan Beastmen; any closer and there wouldn’t even be a chance to talk, they would just start fighting.

”Crack~” Her foot snapped a dried branch on the ground.

The tribe’s guards immediately noticed her: ”djr@dko!”

Although Mu Ying couldn’t understand the Beastman Language, through animal conversation, she understood that they were telling her to leave or else they would attack her.

Her hand slipped into her sleeve, grasping the Magic Wand. She cast amplification magic on herself, her tone left no room for doubt, ”Submit or die!”

She had never been so imposing in either of her lives!

The amplification magic magnified her voice to the utmost extent, and the entire Beastman Tribe heard her challenging words, gathering at the entrance of their settlement.

When they saw that the challenger was just a frail little thing, their anger dissipated, and they laughed without restraint.

”skdfhe# (Ha ha, little cub, eat some more meat before challenging us)!”

Mu Ying: ”...”

Although she was the one being mocked, it proved that the Tiger Clan Beastmen were indeed communicable and not just violent lunatics.

”Submit to me, obey my commands, and I promise you will be well-fed. Those who do not submit will die,” Mu Ying said again.

The Tiger Clan Beastmen laughed heartily again, utterly disregarding Mu Ying.

They even threatened her that if she continued to talk nonsense at their tribe’s entrance, they would beat her up, death be damned.

What’s with this group of beastmen, with tiger heads and fluffy tails? Is that really so funny? Are they sand sculptures? They enjoy laughing this much!

Mu Ying felt rather helpless; in her human form, she seemed like a weakling to them, and they didn’t take her seriously at all.

No wonder ”Beastman Civilization Guide” advised using Wild Transformation, as beastmen judge the strength of their opponents by the robustness of their bodies.

Without saying much, she directly transformed into her strongest-looking animal form—a Brown Bear.

Then she beckoned them with a hooked finger.

The Tiger Clan Beastmen stopped laughing at her, but instead, they got excited.

A skinny human cub isn’t meaty, but this Big Brown Bear looks solid!

The excitement for food is a perpetual pursuit for beastmen, as they rarely get to eat their fill.

Although ordinary wild beasts are no match for them, in the territories where they reside, wild beasts always seem to run particularly fast.

Whenever they migrate to a new place, they can eat their fill only in the beginning. Slowly, hunting becomes harder, not because they can’t defeat the prey, but because they can’t find any.

Seldom does prey come knocking at their door like this!

”ksdhf$(Brothers, attack)!” Only a few older beastmen stayed to protect the cubs, while the young and strong members of the Tiger Clan all rushed towards the Brown Bear.

Mu Ying’s Brown Bear form certainly couldn’t match the speed of the Tiger Clan Beastmen, her Brown Bear form took up the fighting style of the orchard’s Big Brown Bear, a counter-for-counter kind of fight.

With her foundation as a level 15 Druid and the amplification effect of Wild Tooth from the Artifact of Nature Bracelet, even a skill-less swipe of her bear claw could inflict damage that compared to that of a warrior of the same level. Handling the Tiger Clan Beastmen was completely manageable.

But that was in a one-on-one situation.

With such a large group attacking her, the outcome was predictable—Mu Ying was beaten badly!

Of course, her bear claws did hit a few Tiger Clan Beastmen, inflicting serious injuries on them as well.

However, Mu Ying had a great mindset; she came on this first visit prepared to take a beating.

What method could rapidly improve her control over her own body and enhance her combat abilities while in Wild Transformation form?

Of course, it’s a battle for life and death!

To defeat the Tiger Clan Beastmen, she would learn directly from fighting them.

That said, she wasn’t genuinely risking her life; what she staked were the lives of each Wild Form.

For safety, she planned to risk the lives of her Brown Bear Form, White Wolf Form, Lion Form, and Tiger Form in combat, while the fastest Leopard Form was reserved for escaping.

If the Leopard also failed to escape and got killed, she still had her true form. As long as she could distance herself, she could fly away on a broom, and the next day, she’d be a hero with six lives again.

It didn’t take long for Mu Ying in her Brown Bear Form to be beaten down, with chunks of flesh bitten off, nearly leaving her without the strength to fight back.

While Mu Ying was still trying to endure the pain and retaliate, she kept an eye on her state and changed into her White Wolf Form before the Brown Bear Form’s Life Value dropped to zero.

If the Brown Bear Form’s Life Value dropped to zero, she would automatically revert to her human form.

After changing into her White Wolf Form, she took advantage of the momentary shock of the Tiger Clan Beastmen to break out of their encirclement and distance herself from them.

The Tiger Clan Beastmen were startled by her sudden transformation.
