I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 569: 552: The Cold Deer in the CampChapter 569: Chapter 552: The Cold Deer in the Camp

The heat of this post was rapidly rising, and Mu Ying estimated that it would soon be bumped up to the front. By now, probably quite a few people had taken notice.

When she opened the Territory Internal Network, sure enough, quite a few people had messaged her privately after noticing the issue. However, those who were her friends, even if they didn’t know where she had been recently, didn’t really believe the news on the forum, and instead reminded her that someone was smearing her.

Those who knew that she indeed had gone to hunt Cold Deer also knew the situation with the Cold Deer, and were even less likely to believe what was said on the forum.

Mu Ying replied one by one, stating that she could handle the matter herself and told them not to worry.

After easing her friends’ minds, Mu Ying posted a post on the Territory Internal Network.

“Here in Qingshan City, just leveled up, and I won’t hide it, I leveled up by killing Cold Deer.

As everyone knows, the way Druids cultivate is by protecting nature to gain nature’s reciprocation.

Apart from afforestation, another method to protect nature is the destruction of creatures and objects that severely harm the natural environment. Through natural sense, these things all exude dark auras and are rejected by nature.

The Fishman Altar is so, and so are the Cold Deer.

I’ve put up a detailed file on the Cold Deer in the Contribution Store, interested parties can go and obtain it for free.

Killing a Level 9 Cold Deer, nature rewards 300 experience, I’ve killed 19 in a row this time, that’s why I’ve leveled up, I didn’t calculate the experience properly, and the last one’s experience was mostly wasted, which is a bit of a pity.

However, there are still plenty of Cold Deer in the Northwest Snowfield, I’m off to continue racking up experience, fellow Druids who want to level up quickly can refer to this method, but be careful and know your limits, I only dared to mess with them after reaching Level 10.

Nature is with me, let’s encourage each other.

——Mu Ying”

Mu Ying directly laid out the facts without directly addressing the post that accused her of slaughtering Cold Deer, but this post completely revealed the truth.

Although it was posted on the Territory Internal Network, it was quickly transported by the Local People to the forum, including the file on the Cold Deer.

A large number of related hot posts suddenly emerged on the World Forum.

“Mu Ying finally responds to leveling methods, Druids hurry and bring your stools over for the lesson! (Post content transported from Mu Ying’s statement on the Qingshan City Territory Internal Network)”

“One level a day is actually for this reason?”

“Cold Deer—Druids’ exclusive experience packs, shedding envious tears!”

“Cold Deer = Snow Mountain Guardian God? Luoxia Town buried, Northwest Highland becomes a snowfield, contemplative and terrifying!”

“Mu Ying kills habitually, hunting humanity’s friends, a disgrace to Druids, what did the Snow Mountain Guardian God do wrong? We players from the Snow Domain need an explanation!”

“Detailing the loopholes in anti-smear posts made by brainwashed morons swayed by the Cold Deer!”

“Players from Xia Country’s Northwest, can you ask the Cold Deer for me if they still have brothers and sisters? I can’t handle a Level 9 Cold Deer, but I can deal with lower levels!”

...

After posting, Mu Ying took off to the Northwest on her Flying Carpet.

She would still frequently open the forum to see the players’ comments “for a bit of relaxation.”

The Northwest of Xia Country had already been devastated by the Cold Deers into a vast Snow Domain, making it unfit for human habitation. Except for those who really couldn’t leave, those remaining had some sort of “helpful” intentions towards the Cold Deer. The truly pure-hearted people who genuinely liked the Cold Deer and trusted them due to their behavior were very few in number. Even if there were such people, after seeing the current posts on the forum, they may have hesitated.

But in fact, there were still many people whitewashing the Cold Deer on the forum, albeit not many. Mu Ying just looked it as a joke.

By posting that message, she was essentially declaring war in another sense. After all, the ultimate outcome would lead to battle, and these chaotic matters couldn’t affect her in any way.

A few days later, Mu Ying visited the Northwest Snowfield again.

She was surprised to find that the line of snow had retreated quite a bit.

Where the edge of the snowfield had previously been covered by ice and snow, it had now melted, exposing the damp ground underneath.

Further in, the layer of snow had also become thinner.

“With the death of Cold Deer, could the Snow Domain be in decline?” Mu Ying wondered aloud.

After thinking it through, it seemed quite likely.

The Snow Domain, which had been expanding little by little due to the Cold Deer’s ice and snow powers, was fundamentally connected to their strength. Conversely, without the influence of Cold Deer, the original temperatures would be unable to maintain the ice and snow, which naturally would start to melt.

Especially at the fringes, the changes were most pronounced.

Unfortunately, even if the snow melted, the land wouldn’t rapidly return to its previous verdant and vigorous state, rich with water and grass.

The generally exposed soil on the outskirts wasn’t much moister than the Northwestern highland’s barren land before the apocalypse.

Mu Ying used her Eye of Nature to look at the land, and the natural power within it was still sparse.

“Looks like it needs a good nurturing,” Mu Ying planned to nourish the land thoroughly after she dealt with the Cold Deer, helping the land recover its vitality faster—and perhaps gain some experience in the process.

She sensed the location of the Magic Marks and found that the Cold Deer had actually moved house.

In her sensing, apart from the juvenile Cold Deer and three Level 10 Cold Deer that were still hidden in the valley from before, the rest were mostly gathered at another Snow Mountain deeper in the Luoxia Mountain Range, having moved from their previous location.

Only one Level 10 and one Level 9 Cold Deer were on the perimeter of the Snow Domain; judging by the direction, Mu Ying estimated they should be in the nearby No Master Camp.

Mu Ying thought for a moment and decided to intercept those two Cold Deer outside first.

Controlling the Flying Carpet, she flew over the camp. As expected, she saw the two Cold Deer in the camp’s plaza, as well as the people celebrating and feasting there.

The square was filled with fine wines and delicacies, with people eating and drinking while holding the Cold Deer, condemning Mu Ying.

“Guardian God, rest assured, we all believe in you!”

“Yes! Mu Ying has a large territory backing her, and lots of water armies. They spread rumors on the forum because our voices are too weak to contend, but we won’t give up. One day, everyone will see the dangerous duplicity of Mu Ying!”

“Guardian God, why don’t you all move to the camp as well? We’ll protect you. I don’t believe she’d dare to make a move with the camp’s protective shield in place, and with everyone here!”

“Yes!”

“Gentlemen, we cannot do that; we are the Snow Mountain Elves, and even with great danger looming, that place is our home.”

...

Mu Ying listened to the discussions below with some amusement. The protective shield of the No Master Camp was indeed quite fragile.

From the beginning of the apocalypse to now, the protective shield of the No Master Camp had always been the same strength, never upgraded, and its defensive capability should be around Level 6. Mu Ying could break it with just one spell.

If it weren’t for the Transmission Array that connected to Qingshan City, breaking the camp’s protective shield and scattering this camp would also reduce the revenue from the transmission array significantly. Otherwise, she really would have struck with a spell.
