I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 583 - 566: Nourishing the Soil
Chapter 583: Chapter 566: Nourishing the Soil

After the celebration, the next day, Mu Ying began her journey to nourish the land.

As her level increased, the range of her Plant Growth spell casting expanded.

Starting at level 10, the radius of the Plant Growth spell casting had broken 10,000 meters, and it had grown significantly since. Now at level 12, the radius of the spell was 50,000 meters, covering an area of about 785 square kilometers.

At the same time, the effect was also more significant; the nourished land was visibly more fertile. Given the current situation in the Northwest Plateau, a single casting could save it.

However, this spell remained a very time-consuming major spell, requiring her to be stationary for an entire day, a full eight hours.

Mu Ying’s first casting location was in the Luoxia Valley where Luoxia Town was situated.

The Luoxia Valley was the soil for the development of Luoxia Territory, and Li Luoxia took it very seriously. When Mu Ying left home in the morning intending to work, she came with the Luoxia Team to offer help.

”When you cast the spell, your concentration reduces your Perception ability. There are Snow Beasts rampaging in the wilderness outside, posing a safety hazard. We should come and keep watch for you,” Li Luoxia said.

Mu Ying appreciated her kindness but declined, ”I have Gungun and Da Ming with me, one takes care of aerial surveillance, and the other is in charge of protecting me closely. Being my animal companions, they are attuned to my thoughts; they are enough to protect me.

As long as they can alert me in time when there’s danger, I can handle it.

Moreover, I am a Druid; most animals, including Snow Beasts, won’t attack me when I am in the wild. Don’t worry!”

Luoxia Town had now been downgraded to Camp Level territory. If Li Luoxia and her team really spent the whole day idle, just watching over her, it would indeed be a waste of their time.

Moreover, this was her Cultivation. The area of Luoxia Valley wasn’t large; one spell casting from the center of the valley could solve the problem. The main challenge was the vast plateau outside the valley; it was uncertain how long it would take to rejuvenate it completely!

She was determined, and both Gungun and Da Ming were confident, so Li Luoxia and her team had no choice but to give up.

Mu Ying rode on Da Ming, flew over the valley, found a position that potentially included the entire Luoxia Valley within her casting range, and then landed there.

She applied the Stone Skin Technique to herself, Gungun, and Da Ming, and Little Red also transformed into Combat Armor form, protecting her.

Then she connected with the natural power and entered into the state of spell casting.

The barren land was gradually nourished and became fertile bit by bit.

The people of Luoxia Territory could clearly see the hard, clumped soil changing, becoming softer.

Mu Ying maintained the spell casting state from morning till evening. When she opened her eyes again, the soil of the entire Luoxia Valley had turned into fertile black soil.

Finally, she rode Da Ming, flew into the air, and took out a large bag of seeds, which the Gem Fairies had prepared in advance, suitable for planting in the highland area.

There were normal wildflowers and grasses, as well as seeds of fast-growing grass and other mutant plant species.

She used the Wind Phase to blow these seeds in all directions.

Then, a dark red thorny magic wand appeared in her hand, and she quickly used Plant Magic to promote the rapid rooting and sprouting of these seeds.

She rode Da Ming around Luoxia Valley. Under the sunset, the bare Luoxia Valley suddenly burst with life.

The people of Luoxia Territory, witnessing this transformation, watched in amazement, speechless for a long time.

Mu Ying felt it was about time, and then she landed outside Luoxia Territory to find Li Luoxia.

”I left a large patch of land on the sunnier side without sowing any seeds, so you can plant some crops there, and the harvest next year should be very good,” he said.

Li Luoxia nodded, ”Thank you so much, Luoxia Valley is even more beautiful than before!”

Mu Ying also smiled happily.

With the Eye of Nature, she could see the traces of natural power and felt the changes in Luoxia Valley most clearly.

Seeing the land, once sluggish and thin with natural power, now brimming with vibrant and friendly energy, she felt a great sense of achievement.

Compared to the vitality all around her, the 50 points of Professional Experience she gained seemed insignificant.

Although 50 points of Professional Experience was not little, it was still less than what she would gain from killing a single Cold Deer cub.

But there are only so many Cold Deer; once extinct, they’re gone, yet the vast barren Highlands are vast enough to keep her diligently working for a while.

This stable source of Experience was quite rare for her.

Even though it took more time and was less rewarding than hunting Cold Deer, it was still much more than she would get from conservatively cultivating plants and patrolling the woods.

She was almost desperate to plunge into the vast, barren Northwest Plateau.

At first, she didn’t set many nourishment tasks for herself.

She would only spend eight hours a day casting spells.

She spent the remaining time on other activities.

Such as learning new spells, reading Druidic spell cultivation books, drafting the initial version of the ”Book of Druid,” using up the day’s Trial Time, managing her Plantation in the Small World, cultivating some fresh plants, and so on.

In short, her time was tightly and richly scheduled, and with Xiao Shiyin and Gungun around, she didn’t feel lonely even though she was alone in the wilderness.

And seeing the areas she passed through revive with vitality was a very fulfilling experience.

Each of her spell castings earned her 50 points of Experience, and her Level Progress slowly and evenly rose.

This pace was many times slower than when she hunted Cold Deer, but over time, it was still much faster than most people.

The higher the level, the more difficult it became to gain Professional Experience.

For instance, as a Druid, at level 1, simply perceiving nature and measuring the force of nature around a healthy plant could gain one point of Professional Experience; planting a vegetable could earn several points.

But now, at level 12, she could barely gain 1 point of Professional Experience after taking care of all the plants in her entire Plantation. Planting common crops required planting a lot and a lot to get just 1 point.

Draco and Vinica had also gradually advanced to level 10, Atom, Maz, and Li Luoxia had reached the peak of level 9 and were about to advance to level 10.

But their progress in increasing levels was slowing down gradually, becoming slower and slower, and only when they encountered rare opportunities could they increase a bit faster. Mu Ying’s steady progress was quite enviable.

It got to the point where they could not help but take turns calling her with the Dingling Flower phone to express their envy and jealousy!

But since everyone’s professions are different, the methods of acquiring Professional Experience also vary, and there isn’t much they could learn from each other. After envying her, they could only continue to explore on their own.
