Chapter 555 - 538: Sharing the Burden
Chapter 555: Chapter 538: Sharing the Burden

Thus, although Mages were powerful, they were also significantly limited.

The most crucial aspect was that the core of a Mage’s cultivation was the Meditation Method.

When a Mage cast a spell, they used spiritual power to leverage the power of the law for their own use, and the Meditation Method was essentially the lever they used to move the power of the law.

When the world evolved, the Evolution Center would provide each player who had assumed the role of a Mage with a set of enlightening Meditation Methods.

However, unlike spells, even if one learned it, it could not be written down and taught to others because it was an enlightening method; it wasn’t about its prowess, but about its high adaptability, which allowed for diverse developments.

Every Mage who learned the enlightening Meditation Method could, during their cultivation, based on this method, comprehend a set of the most suitable Meditation Method for themselves. Besides the differences caused by individual Talent, the comprehended Meditation Methods would have no hidden dangers.

In essence, this enlightening Meditation Method could tailor-make a Meditation Method for every Mage, which was invaluable, arguably the most important knowledge gift the world bestowed upon the Mage Profession.

Going forward, other Mages who wanted to learn would have no other opportunity but to study the Meditation Methods comprehended by their predecessors. This information was a closely guarded secret among Mages in the outside world, typically passed only between masters and disciples, and only in those worlds with a Mage God where the Mage Schools established by the Mage God would teach these traditions.

Of course, in Multiverse City, one could also purchase some finished Mage Meditation Methods, and even opportunities to learn enlightening Meditation Methods were available for purchase.

Mu Ying, as a Trialist, could afford to exchange some Source Power in Multiverse City for some Mage Meditation Methods and gather all the Mage spells to establish a school capable of training Mages in Qingshan City.

But after she visited Multiverse City once to check the exchange prices for the knowledge of Mage spells, she completely abandoned the idea. It wasn’t something she could afford; she wasn’t a Mage, nor did she wish to become some kind of Mage God. Supporting the lineage of the Mage profession would bring no benefits to her and would still consume a lot of Source Power.

With that money, she could train more Druids; wouldn’t it be better to become a Druid God instead?

Mages were not more noble than Druids, and upon careful consideration, it wasn’t necessary to pass down all eleven core Professions.

Druids even helped with the natural laws, whereas Mages? They could likely only bring her some reputation, or increase the number of Mages in her territory.

Although Mages were the most powerful Spell Casting Profession, both the learning difficulty and the resources required were also substantial. Mu Ying thought it unnecessary, so she gave up the method of collecting Mage Profession heritage books.

Upon further reflection, collecting and promoting the heritage of eleven Professions, Druids could bring her the greatest benefits, and perhaps also the Forest Patrols, which belonged to the same nature banner. Promoting these two Professions would earn natural rewards such as Professional Experience and could help her achieve the Divine Positions of nature and Druids on Deep Blue Star.

What could she do with diligent collection and promotion of other Professions? She wasn’t a professional in those fields, and attaining the corresponding Divine Positions was out of the question.

At most, it would make it easier for the Local People to assume roles and learn in the future, and the territory would have a greater appeal.

Previously, she had thought that as a member of Deep Blue Star, she should contribute to the Profession heritage of the Mother Star, but she actually didn’t need to take everything upon herself.

To provide cultivation convenience for the Local People, in the future, she could procure some low-level professional cultivation books and open a Basic School, enabling the Local People to learn knowledge at a low cost, giving them an opportunity for vocational enlightenment. The rest of their professional paths still had to be walked by themselves.

She did not intend for the Local People to die or live for her, treating them as her subordinates; there was no need to consider everything thoroughly and present it to them on a silver platter.

Regarding the inheritance of professions on Mother Star, she was undeniably suited for the Druid heritage and was unwilling to let others handle it, but as for other professions, she could not gain much by exerting effort, so why not let those who could reap greater benefits do it?

Since she couldn’t secure it herself, she might as well let someone else obtain it.

Thinking this, Mu Ying had a sudden realization and decided not to take on everything herself.

She first made a Dingling Flower call to Maz and Vinica.

Maz was still cloistered in his territory conducting spell research; he had the backing of his territory and adequate funds and was interested in spell research, having collected all types of spells available for purchase. He was engrossed in his secluded study.

When he received Mu Ying’s Dingling Flower call, he was testing spells with dark circles under his eyes.

Upon hearing her mention news about the Divine Position, and asking if he had time to visit his territory soon, Maz agreed without a second thought.

Vinica was currently traveling to the southernmost No Master Camp in the Xia Country region and also planned to spend money to teleport back to Qingshan City.

Mu Ying then sent messages to Draco, Atom, Xie Sen, and Huo Shaobai in turn.

They agreed to meet tomorrow morning at the Tree House No. 2 and to keep this matter confidential.

As for Li Luoxia, Mu Ying didn’t involve her due to the particular nature of the Priest profession; only a God themselves had the ability to pass on their Priest heritage. However, she still messaged Li Luoxia the drawbacks she had learned regarding the Priest and Paladin professions’ future in igniting the Divine Fire.

Now that information was not so tightly controlled post-legends era, everyone had become aware of the realms of Demigods and Gods.

Concerning the Divine Position, no one took Mu Ying’s small gathering lightly. By the appointed time, everyone had arrived at the living room of Tree House No. 2.

Mu Ying had prepared the contract in advance and handed it to everyone upon meeting.

The contract was simple, specifying that she would share the news about the Divine Position related to their professions, and in exchange, they would provide her with cultivation materials for levels 1-5 of their professions, which could be studied repeatedly without drawbacks, and keep today’s discussions confidential.

”Cultivation materials? Are you planning to prepare them for nurturing new strengths in your territory in the future?” Maz asked, frowning.

Levels 1-5 also included spells up to the third circle, which, although valuable, were not much compared to the news of the Divine Position. The challenge was in the meditation method.

His Meditation Method was of fairly high quality, and he had not initially intended to share it.

Mu Ying nodded, ”Pretty much; you don’t have to provide your own. Just having one suitable Meditation Method for the profession is enough. This cultivation material also concerns the Divine Position issue I mentioned. I assure you, if you choose this path, spreading low-level cultivation materials is actually beneficial for you, and I only need the low-level parts to enhance the future Territory Library and Basic Schools, not the high-level materials.”

The others didn’t have as many considerations as Maz, as what they were giving were just documents copied from the Player Manual.

And it was only up to level 5; they didn’t necessarily need to rely on them, as any player whose strength surpassed level 5 could do it.
