I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 589 - 572 Setting Off to the Wilderness
Chapter 589: Chapter 572 Setting Off to the Wilderness

Half a year later, at the edge of the Snow Domain, the last piece of barren land had become fertile under Mu Ying’s nourishment.

The entire Northwest Plateau had finally been restored to the state it was in before being covered by the Cold Deer and the ice and snow.

After Mu Ying finished her spell casting, she let out a long sigh of relief.

This half-year had been unbearable!

She really had to grit her teeth to persist.

Even as an Elf, standing still for sixteen hours a day casting spells, she would feel as if her whole body turned rigid and exhaustingly tired.

Now it was finally complete!

All the hard work had paid off, and she was now a Level 15 Druid with Life Value of 1230 and Mana Value of 250, also making progress to 62.5% towards Level 16.

Wild Transformation had added the option to transform into super-large creatures, and by now, she could almost learn any Wild Transformation of animal and plant forms, regardless of size, aquatic or terrestrial.

New spells of the 8th Circle had also been unlocked on the Magic List, but she hadn’t yet mastered the 7th Circle spells, so she hadn’t touched the 8th Circle spells.

When Mu Ying opened her eyes this time, she felt that today’s sunset was even more colorful than before.

She stretched leisurely and murmured to Gungun, her loyal guardian, ”We’ve finally finished, let’s have a good rest tonight...”

Gungun’s little eyes twinkled: (

)!

Mu Ying: ”...Tomorrow, we set off for the Northwest Plateau!”

(ಥ_ಥ)!

Gungun hugged its plump self, feeling a touch of sadness~

Only now did it realize how foolish it had been to insist on growing up to go out and help its Master!

Wasn’t it delightful to stroll and feast across the territory? Life outside truly wasn’t suited for bears!

”Once we’ve dealt with some issues among the Beastmen, we’ll return to Qingshan City and have a good rest for a few years!” Mu Ying stroked Gungun’s fluffy head and sighed.

Da Ming saw her finish casting and landed beside her, bowing down.

Mu Ying patted Gungun, asking it to shrink, and then holding it climbed onto Da Ming, flying together toward the temporary Druid camp.

The progress of the other Druids was much slower than Mu Ying’s; they had only just caught up to where she had been over three months ago.

About to leave this place, Mu Ying felt a mix of anticipation and reluctance.

”Hm? Why has everyone returned so early today?” As she flew over the camp, she saw that everyone was there and that they had been back for a while, as the smoke was already curling up from the camp.

”Mu Ying! Come down quick!” Seeing the circling Griffin in the sky, someone waved at her.

After Mu Ying landed in the camp, she saw several fires roasting sheep, with plenty of fruits set aside, and her heart stirred.

Then indeed, she saw several Druids lined up and taking out a wooden sign from behind, inserting them at regular intervals next to the fires to form a circle which read: ”Farewell Dinner: A Warm Celebration for the First Druid Mu Ying for Completing the Highland Nourishment Mission!”

Mu Ying: ”...”

”Hehe, surprised or not, unexpected or what? We didn’t farm even a little this afternoon, just to throw you a farewell feast!”

”We have your favorite barbecue!”

”And the fruits we grew ourselves!”

...

Although the wooden sign’s aesthetics were somewhat unique, Mu Ying was deeply moved. There wasn’t anything happier than her friends thinking about her, ”Thank you, everyone! It’s truly a surprise!”

”Hehe, let’s not talk too much, let’s start eating!”

Mu Ying waved her hand and took out a bunch of alcohol, ”I’ll reinforce the camp’s fence a bit more, so we can have a good drink today!”

”Wow! There’s alcohol!”

They had started preparing a month in advance for today. They bought sheep from Luoxia Town and raised them nearby for a month. They grew the berries themselves, and some of them were purchased. Though someone had thought of buying alcohol, to bring it from Luoxia Town was very difficult due to the long distance and their lack of Space Equipment.

On top of that, pooling money to buy sheep, spices, fruits, that was already a significant expense, buying alcohol would have just been too much to bear.

That night, the makeshift camp was littered with drunk figures.

It was rare that they weren’t just a pile of furry bodies, but actually in human form sprawled on the ground.

Thankfully, they each had their animal companions to huddle with for warmth.

Mu Ying also cuddled with Gungun, lying on Da Ming, and had a good sleep, even skipping today’s trial.

She slept till dawn, packed up her tent set up at the camp, said goodbye to everyone, and then left.

After flying to the edge of the plateau, Mu Ying found a place within a hundred miles with no signs of human life and signaled for Da Ming to stop. Then she had Da Ming and Gungun enter the Small World.

”You guys have been tired recently too, rest in the Small World for a few days. I’ll take the Magic Flying Carpet to probe around first.”

Indeed, her plan was to make the Beastmen ”submit” in a straightforward manner, then have them obediently follow her to learn farming, breeding, and self-sustenance, instead of just reaping nature’s resources blindly until their surroundings turned barren!

In the Small World, she had specifically opened a piece of farmland and a livestock pasture.

The crops in the farmland were grown from seeds she already had that produced well, while the livestock in the pasture were the cubs she caught from the Breeding Camp before leaving.

Originally, she wanted to see if the crops and livestock from the outside could gain the ability of the Small World’s food to restore spiritual power and also to prepare for going to the Beastmen’s place.

Now, the use of the crops and livestock remained the same, but due to the Small World’s faster cycle of day and night, their growth speed was twice as fast as outside.

The farmland now had several harvests with very good yields, accumulating quite a stock of grain and seeds.

The livestock in the pasture had produced many offspring, causing the herds to expand considerably.

The farmland and pasture were usually managed by the Gem Fairies, who took really good care of them.

Having been outside for over a year, the grain storage in Mu Ying’s Space Ring did not decrease but instead increased due to the output from these two areas.

Now she could truly say she was completely self-sufficient. Wherever she went, she could have food and drink, not worrying about meals, and no more packing supplies before a trip. She had an entire world that could produce resources for her.

After setting the Magic Flying Carpet to fly eastward automatically, Mu Ying took out the ”Beastman Civilization Guide” that Grandpa Shom had given her, planning to review it again during the trip.

After getting the book, she had read it over, bit by bit, whenever she found the time. However, as a considerable amount of time had passed since she first read it, and now that she was about to go teach the Beastmen, reviewing it would help recall some details from the book.

The book talked about the Beastman Race and the experiences and suggestions of some Druid predecessors who had educated Beastmen. It was very valuable for reference, so Mu Ying planned to follow the book’s content, verify it, and then put it into action. There shouldn’t be any major problems.
