I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 577 - 560: One Plus One Is Greater Than Two
Chapter 577: Chapter 560: One Plus One Is Greater Than Two

Mu Ying’s Wind-Proof Magic didn’t completely isolate the wind, there were still slight breezes seeping through.

Blowing on one’s face and body, it made one’s mood instantly better.

The warm sunlight shone on Da Ming’s body, and each feather seemed to glint with golden light, exceptionally beautiful.

After a short while, Mu Ying could no longer hold back, ”Da Ming, let’s speed up! I can hold on now!”

”Jiu~” Da Ming responded with a sound and gradually accelerated. Seeing that his master was indeed steady, he went faster and faster, until he reached his top speed.

”Good heavens! The Lord really did it!” Zheng Jing gazed up into the sky.

The other griffins also grew restless, how come today’s warm-up exercise didn’t include them?

They hurriedly began calling out to Zheng Jing.

”Go ahead!” said Zheng Jing.

The griffins immediately spread their wings and took to the sky, flying towards that figure in the sky, following behind Da Ming.

Mu Ying turned her head to look at the well-behaved griffins following behind, keeping a certain distance, forming a fixed triangular formation. It was an impressive sight!

With Da Ming carrying Mu Ying and a group of subordinates behind him, they circled over the Griffin District; Mu Ying was beginning to enjoy herself too much to even think about returning.

”Jiu~~~” Da Ming happily called out.

Followed by a series of long calls from the griffins.

Everyone at the Breeding Camp could hear them.

”Look, the griffins are starting their warm-ups again!”

”I heard the first batch of griffins could leave the Shed this year, I’m so looking forward to it; I’ll definitely go for a ride when that happens!”

”Eh? Isn’t that someone on Da Ming’s back?”

”It actually is!”

Squinting for a long time, it was too far away to see clearly who it was.

”Da Ming was saved by the Lord; it is said they have bonded. It must be the Lord!”

”That’s so cool!”

...

At this moment, Mu Ying was no longer content with just circling smoothly, ”Da Ming, let’s try some high-difficulty stunts!”

Da Ming was still a bit hesitant.

”Da Ming, don’t be afraid of falling, the more we fall now, the smoother it will be when we truly have to fight together in the future. Fly freely!” Mu Ying said, ”If I fall, just catch me in time, that’s what we need to practice as well.”

Da Ming understood, but it still called out once, indicating that it was starting to dive.

Mu Ying crouched down, adjusting her center of gravity with it.

This time they completed a high-difficulty maneuver of diving close to the ground and gliding before soaring back into the sky together.

Mu Ying did feel unstable at times, but with Da Ming’s cooperation and her own adjustments, they managed to pull through safely.

The success greatly boosted Da Ming’s confidence.

He began attempting even more difficult stunts.

Before each new maneuver, however, he made sure to alert Mu Ying.

Many of the new stunts were initially uncomfortable for Mu Ying, and there were several perilous moments, including times when she didn’t control herself well and began to fall. However, she didn’t immediately transform into an owl, or use Skywalking, Magic Flying Carpet, or flying broom, but instead let herself plummet to give Da Ming the chance to catch her.

Da Ming also did very well, and even if she slipped, Da Ming was able to catch her in time.

They even practiced the maneuver of catching her in the air several times.

She overcame her fear of falling from the sky, and Da Ming became more skilled at catching her.

After flying for several hours in the sky, it was only at lunchtime that Da Ming reluctantly led the flock of griffins to land.

”Clap clap clap!” Zheng Jing applauded vigorously, ”That was spectacular! It looks like you won’t need a week to get used to this.”

Mu Ying was also very proud, ”Da Ming is so great!”

The griffins’ lunch was raw beef and mutton, abundantly supplied, and every griffin had its fill.

After the morning flight, Mu Ying truly grew fond of the beautiful griffins, even going so far as to create a giant Water Ball to feed them, putting all of today’s Recovery Spring into it.

The first batch of griffins that had hatched still remembered the familiar Water Ball, one by one they abandoned the meat, eager to sip from the Water Ball.

Mu Ying was suddenly surrounded by griffins.

”Jiu!” Da Ming pecked at a rude fellow who had nearly bumped into the Master with dissatisfaction.

The griffins became well-behaved in a second, each going to line up.

The griffin at the front of the line guzzled down the water, while those behind stretched their necks longingly, wishing they could take its place, but restrained by Da Ming’s deterrent presence, they dared not move.

When the one at the front had almost had its fill yet was reluctant to move aside, Da Ming glanced at it sideways, and the griffin behind immediately understood, promptly bumping it aside to take its place.

Mu Ying found it amusing to watch; Da Ming had quite the deterrent power among the griffins! Truly worthy of being her own offspring!

After lunch, it was time to rest. The griffins, having eaten and drunk their fill, some flew to Stone Mountain to rest, some perched on wooden racks to rest, and some just squatted on the grass, all according to their own liking.

Da Ming preferred squatting on the grass even more.

Mu Ying had promised to accompany him these days, so she laid her arm behind her head as a pillow and leaned against Da Ming to rest with her eyes closed.

This rare moment of leisure wasn’t bad at all.

After resting for more than an hour, she resumed practicing with Da Ming until the evening sky bloomed with sunset colors, and only then did they finish training and return to the Plantation together.

The following days were just like this.

It only took two days for Mu Ying to be able to balance on Da Ming, without falling off.

She could even sit cross-legged, lie down, or even stand on Da Ming’s back, aside from riding posture.

On the third day, she set up many wooden targets on the ground of the Griffin District and on Stone Mountain, then attempted to shoot while riding on Da Ming through the air.

After getting used to it, the other griffins also joined their training, with targets hung on them, they moved as elusive targets, flying erratically in the sky.

Da Ming carried her to chase them, and then she shot arrows at the targets on the other griffins.

She and Da Ming practiced coordinated combat; the other griffins practiced dodging attacks; and every day, they all received their share of Mu Ying’s Recovery Spring, much to everyone’s delight.

Once she got comfortable shooting from Da Ming’s back, her Spell Casting accuracy was guaranteed; the two skills were interconnected.

She and Da Ming’s trust in each other grew, and their coordination became more intuitively synchronized.

She familiarized herself with Da Ming’s flying habits, and Da Ming got used to her attacking rhythm, understanding her shooting range as well as her Spell Casting range, capable of very well managing the distance.

Mu Ying also worked out simple commands with Da Ming; without her needing to speak, a pat on its back, or touching its feathers in different spots, it would understand Mu Ying’s intentions.

In this way, she could just focus on attacking in the air, leaving everything else to Da Ming. It would take her close to the enemy, or dodge incoming attacks from the enemy.

This feeling was something that Magic Flying Carpets and flying brooms, which mainly relied on her will and control to move, couldn’t match; it was so effortless. With Da Ming by her side, they achieved an effect far greater than the sum of their parts.
