I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 585 - 568 Extraordinary Perception
Chapter 585: Chapter 568 Extraordinary Perception

”Cooperation? How do we cooperate?” all Druids asked with puzzled expressions.

Working for Natural Father to earn Experience, whoever works more gets a ”higher wage”, is that how we cooperate?

”Isn’t it that you guys are not getting much Experience because your Plant Nourishment range is too small? Instead of going back to earnestly farming the land, why not plant here? Now that my level is higher, repeatedly planting ordinary plants basically yields no significant Experience – it’s not as cost-effective as nurturing a large area of land. How about I take care of nurturing the land and you plant on the nurtured soil? I have plenty of seeds, and this way, we can all have a substantial Experience income. I can save time and you won’t have to make a wasted trip. What do you think?” Mu Ying said.

After all, she was just casually planting here, merely scattering seeds and using Plant Magic to mass cultivate in a rough manner – an approach that hardly gave any Experience. She’d be better off letting them do it instead, so everyone could save up more Experience for leveling up. Deep Blue Star’s natural environment would be better cared for by Druids — it was a win-win for everyone.

Also, she planned to take on the challenge of inheriting the Druid profession, and she needed Druid talents to help her. The people here were certainly worth considering for future instructors at the Druid College.

”Really? You don’t get much Experience from planting such a large grassland?” one Druid asked.

If they could stay, that would be great, but they didn’t want Mu Ying to give up her own benefits. They already felt rather embarrassed to be following her trend and coming to the highland.

”Don’t worry, if there were a lot of Experience to be had, I definitely wouldn’t part with it so easily. After all, the higher the level, the harder it is to accumulate Experience,” Mu Ying said with a mix of pride and coyness.

She only did things that were mutually beneficial; if anyone thought she would sacrifice her own interests for others, they were giving her too much credit!

The other Druids: ”...”

Their image of a mighty figure shattered in minutes!

Every time they were full of admiration and gratitude for her, she would suddenly become very down-to-earth.

It was confusing yet irresistible!

Who wouldn’t love a down-to-earth big shot?

So, the Druids, who originally came to say goodbye, each took a large packet of seeds to germinate, preparing for tomorrow’s planting.

From that day on, Mu Ying focused only on nurturing the land and not on sowing.

Her Experience didn’t decrease by much, but the other Druids indeed got their share.

With an ample supply of seeds and vast tracts of land waiting to be planted, such a place was simply a paradise for Druids.

The land that Mu Ying nourished in one day was enough for the few dozen Druids currently here to plant for several days.

Druids didn’t have the Spell for mass planting and cultivation yet, so they could only proceed slowly.

Finding they couldn’t keep up with Mu Ying’s pace, and with more and more land accumulating, the Druids sought Mu Ying’s consent to post a recruitment message on the forum, calling for more Druids to join the team restoring the Northwest Plateau’s ecological environment.

Anyway, it was just planting. Knowing the Druid Tricks, Water Creation Skill, and Natural Sense was sufficient, and these were the Druid’s basic Skills; even a level 1 Druid could do it.

Previously, many Druids didn’t dare to join the excitement here because they weren’t level 5 and didn’t know Plant Growth.

Once this post went up, word got out that there was an entire highland’s worth of land available for planting, lands that were already nurtured and fertile, with seeds provided by Mu Ying.

Being among so many companions was much safer than struggling alone in the wilderness to dig holes and plant.

Druids who could manage it chose to take a chance on the Northwest Highland.

On the Northwest Plateau, the number of active Druids doubled in no time!

In that area, a common sight was this: within a five-kilometer radius, Mu Ying stood all alone, stationary and casting spells, while beyond five kilometers, Druids gathered merrily, chatting and laughing as they cultivated the land.

Not far away, the Druids’ traveling tents formed a small temporary camp, enclosed by thorny and stone walls conjured up by Mu Ying’s spells.

This temporary camp would move every few days, following the shift of their work sites, which made relocation easy—everyone would just pack up their tents and transfer directly.

After nightfall, the Druids who had been farming would gradually return here, and Mu Ying, having completed her spell casting tasks for the day, would also come back, with the smallest tent in the middle of the camp being hers.

However, she didn’t often sleep in her tent; mostly, she would transform into an animal form and lie down wherever she felt like it.

As it turned out, she wasn’t the only one with this habit.

To quote a Druid friend: ”As everyone knows, a Druid’s tent isn’t meant for living, but for storing things. A proper Druid should take on a Wild Form and sleep on the grass, not even needing a blanket!”

So when the night deepened, the temporary camp was littered with animals.

Some were animal companions of the Druids, and others were the Druids themselves, indistinguishably mixed together.

It was on such an ordinary night that the little +1 behind Mu Ying’s Perception Attribute disappeared.

At that moment, Mu Ying appeared to be sleeping, but in reality, her consciousness was undergoing a trial in the World of Gods, blissfully unaware that her Perception Attribute had been fully assimilated.

When her trial ended and her consciousness returned, she immediately sensed the difference.

She was in her White Wolf Form, and her senses, already sharper than when in human form, had undergone an even more extreme change.

The most noticeable change was that although her vision should have been limited to the area in front of her, she felt as if she could see behind her, to places unseen by her eyes. When she looked up at the night sky, she could sense Gungun’s peculiar upside-down sleeping posture and the rising and falling of his belly as he breathed.

She verified that this sensation was not an illusion; Gungun was indeed sleeping in that manner.

Mu Ying opened the Player Manual.

”Your Perception Attribute has reached 20 points, granting you Extraordinary Perception.”

In the attribute panel, there was a new skill called Extraordinary Perception.

”Extraordinary Perception: Your perception has broken free of its chains, granting you the following traits: 1. Your five senses are no longer confined by the body, extending your perception to all things as if you were present with them. 2. Your awareness of others’ emotions is even more acute, allowing you to easily detect malice from others. 3. All deceptive perception methods untouched by rules, including invisibility, illusions, charm, etc., are ineffective against you. 4. You can anticipate danger in advance, easily predicting an opponent’s attack trajectory in battle. 5. You have a more sensitive awareness of all rules and energies, allowing you to more easily touch upon the essence of things.”

After reading the skill description, Mu Ying swallowed hard.

Five traits! Her Extraordinary Perception came with five traits! Every one of them was useful.

It was quite remarkable for a Druid to possess even three of these traits!

She was thankful for Natural Father’s generous love!

Mu Ying closed her eyes, and without the interference of her own vision, her perception became even clearer.

It was akin to a 360° panoramic sensory experience, as if having no eyes allowed her to see even more and more clearly.
