Chapter 575 - 558: Mount Break-In
Chapter 575: Chapter 558: Mount Break-In

Mu Ying understood as well and was not worried about the loss of population in the territory, as the population of Qingshan City had already far exceeded that of other city-level territories.

After hanging up the Dingling Flower phone, Mu Ying ran towards the Magic Hut.

She could finally start breaking ground in the Northwest! She needed to check again the plant seeds prepared for the Northwest Plateau and the items she would need for the trip.

This time there was no danger, and she had more time. She had already planned to take Gungun and the Gem Fairies with her.

According to her calculations, she would be able to accumulate 100,000 Source Power in about a week, convert the Village Chief Seal, and obtain her own Half-plane, the Fragmented World!

Then, she could move the Gem Tree inside, and Tao Hua and the others could go out with her and even help her break new ground.

That evening, Mu Ying personally made a big dinner. Da Ming, who had been training at the Breeding Camp, and Gungun, who had gone to the Main Territory to spar with Big Brown Bear, had returned. The Gem Fairies also sat in their individual mini seats. She cleared her throat and announced the news.

”Ah! Mom! That’s great!” The Gem Fairies exclaimed excitedly as they danced in the air above the dining table, ”Moving! Moving!”

This was even earlier than they had anticipated. After their excitement abated, they began chattering about quickly collecting plant specimens from the garden to facilitate the move.

Da Ming also chirped to indicate that it had been training very hard recently. The Beast Tamer said its body was now strong enough. After another week of mount training, it would be able to serve as her flying mount.

Mu Ying had already heard this from Zheng Jing today. She had also been asked to spend more time with Da Ming to improve their coordination during the coming weeks of training. Then, Da Ming would be able to graduate from the shed and assist her.

It was the first Griffin to graduate from the Griffin Shed.

The other Griffins were growing much slower than Da Ming. The next batch wouldn’t be workplace-ready for another six months.

Hearing Da Ming mention this, she soothingly stroked Da Ming’s smooth feathers, ”I look forward to it. I’ll join you in the upcoming training assignments. Let’s graduate smoothly and then celebrate Da Ming’s graduation in grand style!”

Time had passed too quickly. When she first found Da Ming, it was just a tiny bird, barely palm-sized and unable to stand steady. Now, it had grown into a handsome large bird, taller than her, and had grown up so fast!

Gungun watched Da Ming nearing the completion of its tasks, quietly feeling competitive.

Everyone had made extravagant promises back then. The next time Mu Ying took them out, Da Ming was to officially become a mount, and it was to awaken a new skill. Now Da Ming was about to achieve that, while its new skill was still nowhere in sight.

Feeling immense pressure and with only half a month left, it knew it had to work harder; it couldn’t let Da Ming outdo it!

Little Stone, on the other hand, didn’t feel bad about not developing any special new features. It was very Zen, as the growth of Underground City babies was gradual - they grew as much as they ate. Once it had accumulated enough, it would naturally develop new features, so it was not in a rush.

It expressed happily that since everyone was going this time, its Avatar had to go as well.

Mu Ying agreed, as she had only refrained from bringing Little Stone’s Avatar the last time to avoid showing partiality.

This time everyone was going, so Little Stone could certainly join as well.

”Alright, let’s eat!” said Mu Ying.

Having announced the good news, the family thoroughly enjoyed the sumptuous dinner.

The next morning, Mu Ying accompanied Da Ming to the Griffin Shed.

The griffin shed area has expanded significantly, with most of the breeding camp expansion being utilized for the griffin sheds.

It was inevitable, as the once bald chicks had all become enormous creatures, and the space was becoming increasingly insufficient.

As a result, the outside pastures had become quite crowded.

”Lord!” Zheng Jing saw Mu Ying, who had teleported to the entrance of the griffin shed area with Da Ming, and waved at her with a smile.

The griffin shed area was considered critical territory, and teleportation privileges were restricted.

”Today, Da Ming and I are both under your command,” Mu Ying stated, as she too was here to learn.

Zheng Jing waved his hand: ”Da Ming is your personal mount, and it’s different from the other griffins that aren’t assigned to individuals. They don’t need training in coordination with a master, just need to be trained for stable transportation of people and goods, for which there are standard training methods.

Da Ming needs to follow you, and besides the standard training, it now needs to familiarize itself with you, cooperate with you, centering on you, and you also need to familiarize yourself with riding a griffin, to find a suitable mode of interaction and combat for you both. Fortunately, you and Da Ming have spent so much time together, your affection is very strong, and it trusts you immensely, so you two can totally explore on your own, I really have nothing to teach here. Standardized things might just limit you.”

”Ah?” Mu Ying was stunned: ”Explore on our own? So mainly I and Da Ming need to try flying and harmonize together?”

Zheng Jing nodded, ”You are a Druid, you can use animal conversation to communicate with Da Ming without hindrance, and you have means of flight, so even if there are issues during training, you won’t be in danger. Thus, you can fully let go and experiment with various flying postures with Da Ming, and you’ll quickly grasp the essentials of riding.”

Mu Ying: ”...”

It was quite sudden, Zheng Jing practically meant, you understand Da Ming, and you aren’t afraid of falling from the sky, so go ahead and try with Da Ming, you’ll learn how to ride Da Ming soon.

No wonder she was so confident in saying that Da Ming would graduate in a week at most!

Mu Ying looked at Da Ming: ”Then shall we give it a try?”

Da Ming nodded repeatedly, its excited down bristling.

It quickly lay down, lowered its head, making a perfect ’please mount’ gesture.

Unfortunately, while Da Ming was a seasoned trainee, Mu Ying was a complete novice at riding a griffin and her mounting was somewhat clumsy.

Luckily, she often walked on trees; her balance was good, and she was agile and flexible, otherwise even climbing up might have been a problem.

After finally getting on, Mu Ying immediately slid down again: ”That wasn’t very stylish, let me try again.”

She had just climbed up when she suddenly realized why she had to ”climb” at all; she was an elf capable of hopping from tree to tree with amazing agility!

This time, she backed up several meters, then sprinted and leaped, effortlessly standing on Da Ming’s back, then gracefully sitting down.

Da Ming joyously cried out, the master was so impressive!

Zheng Jing watched, gobsmacked, see, she said there was no need for her to teach, right? She hadn’t even brought over her stepping ladder, and she was already up there, and so coolly at that! Beast taming manuals definitely didn’t teach like this.

”Da Ming! Let’s take off!” Mu Ying patted the feathers on Da Ming’s neck, boldly declaring.
