I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 250 - 250 247 Level 7 Druid250: Chapter 247: Level 7 Druid 250: Chapter 247: Level 7 Druid The long-awaited upgrade had finally arrived, and Mu Ying hurriedly packed her things, transforming into an Owl with a single motion and taking flight toward the Plantation.

Landing beside the Gem Tree, she returned to human form, lay flat on the ground, her body touching the earth, and began the upgrade in the most comfortable position she felt.

Natural power swirled towards her like a vortex, brushing through her hair, encircling her body, lifting her entirely, wrapping around her.

The nearby plants sprouted wildly, the sparse early spring grass quickly transformed into a dense lawn.

After an unknown amount of time, the natural power gently placed the green-haired girl, who was softly snoring, back on the ground and gradually receded.

The last trace of natural power tenderly tickled her nose.

“Achoo!” Mu Ying felt an itch in her nose and sneezed.

Feeling the power swelling within her, she murmured, “Is it over?”

This upgrade had taken too long, the natural power was too warm, and she had accidentally fallen asleep.

Full of anticipation, she opened the Player Manual to check the adventure record.

This moment was always the most fulfilling.

Indeed, she saw a long list of alert messages, which felt as exciting as seeing new reader comments back before the apocalypse while writing.

[After the baptism of nature, you have become a Level 7 Druid]

[Based on your Druid Level, your Profession Skill Wild Transformation has unlocked new forms]

[Based on your Druid Level, your Life Value has increased to 560]

[Based on your Druid Level, your Mana Value has increased to 150]

[Based on your Druid Level, the 4th circle of Druid Spells list is unlocked]

The Life Value had increased by 80 points, making her even more resilient.

The Mana Value had also increased by 10 points.

Each 4th circle spell would consume 20 Mana Points.

This Mana Value really felt too scant, always seeming insufficient.

This level hadn’t unlocked new Profession Skills, but Wild Transformation had unlocked new forms.

Mu Ying, curious, opened the attribute panel to check the details of Wild Transformation.

[Wild Transformation: Through observation and imitation, you can transform into small or medium-sized animals.

In transformed state, you can possess the attributes of the corresponding animal, with Life Values independent of human form.

You can transform twice a day, including large, medium, and small terrestrial, aquatic, and flying animals.]

“Large animals?” Mu Ying instantly spotted the newly added words, “Should I perhaps learn from a bear?

Is the characteristic of being a Druid meat shield finally going to emerge?”

Mu Ying had always remembered that original Profession description, where Druids were versatile jack-of-all-trades.

Other aspects had been demonstrated; only damage resistance seemed lacking, with previous turtle forms only viable in water.

This large animal transformation could potentially provide solutions in this area.

Mu Ying kept this in mind.

The most critical part was the newly unlocked 4th circle spells.

She counted them.

There were seventeen: Illusion, Stone Skin Technique, Fire Wall Skill, Transformation Skill, Stone Piercing Technique, Giant Insect Technique, Confusion Technique, Water Control Skill, Detecting Skill, Stone Shaping Technique, Embrace Vine, Neutralize Poison, Skywalking, Free Movement, Command Beasts, Command Plants, Expel Pests.

As she looked through them one by one, each made Mu Ying drool with desire.

As usual, she arranged the spells by need, learning those that could be used soonest first, leaving the others for later.

The ones needed first were still the combat-related attack, defense, and control spells.

Stone Skin Technique is an advanced version of Tree Skin Skill, a Defense Magic.

Fire Wall Skill can attack and defend, while Stone Piercing Technique can attack, defend, and control.

Pure Attack Magic includes only Embrace Vine and Giant Insect Technique.

Illusions, Transformation Skills, and Confusion Techniques are all control-type Magic-like skills.

Besides these, there is also Skywalking.

This is truly a spell that can give her an aerial advantage.

Unlike the flying broom and Magic Flying Carpet, which cannot cast spells during use, Skywalking allows spell-casting.

This is a state spell that allows the subject to step into the air as if on solid ground, walking upward as if climbing a mountain, with the maximum angle being 45 degrees upward or downward, lasting 10 minutes per level.

However, this spell is not equivalent to a flying spell, because during Skywalking, the movement speed is reduced, about half that of the normal walking state.

Therefore, it can only be used for brief hovering.

Even just this satisfied her enormously; if she encountered an enemy without ranged attack methods, a simple act of Skywalking would place her in an undefeatable position.

Although she wanted to learn this spell, considering she would not be going out recently and had the Territory Shield to rely on, there was no immediate need for Skywalking.

After much deliberation, she decided to prioritize Stone Piercing Technique rather than Skywalking as her first choice.

Although she knew Fire Extinguishing Skill and wasn’t afraid of forest fires, and could use Fire Wall Skill, the Stone Piercing Technique had a broader range of use, and she did not yet have a spell of this type.

The reason she did not choose Stone Skin Technique first was that she already had Tree Skin Skill and Natural Shield, so her defensive power was sufficient for the time being.

On the attack front, she always felt inadequate.

There’s no helping it, a Druid’s Attack Magic is always a notch weaker than a Mage’s.

The last time she managed to dominate Zhou Hongfei in combat was because he was of a much lower level than her and his magic knowledge was limited; a higher-level spell could easily overwhelm him.

If she faced a Mage of the same level who was well-versed in spells and adept at combining them, she would have to avoid direct confrontation and choose a conservative strategy fit for a mana duel.

Sometimes, a spell might not achieve the desired effect, simply because a Mage’s repertoire of spells is richer and more comprehensive than a Druid’s.

But surviving was not an issue.

Having chosen Stone Piercing Technique, Mu Ying began to understand the details of this spell.

Stone Piercing Technique is a medium-range spell that affects an area of 20 feet square per level, with a very long duration of 1 hour per level.

It causes sharp stone spikes to grow from the ground, hindering enemy movement and inflicting damage.

Any creature walking through or passing through the affected area suffers piercing damage for every 5 feet they move, affecting the enemy’s traveling speed.

This spell is mainly used to obstruct enemy movement and prevent them from approaching, similar to a magically created spiked belt.

But if cast quickly and at the right moment, it can also serve as an Attack Magic.

Imagine what it would feel like for an enemy trying to approach you, and you cast Stone Piercing Technique right beneath their feet?

Just the thought of it feels thrilling, and it’s not just one stone thorn, but many.

Plus, she’s now at Level 7, meaning her Stone Piercing Technique can last 7 hours.

If she’s camping overnight in the wilderness, it can also serve as a protective belt around her campsite.

She felt it was a loss to learn such a spell later rather than sooner.
