First, she went to Oak Grocery.

Wuyaya lay listlessly on the counter, a sign standing beside him.

“Luck wasn’t on my side, experiencing continuous heartache... Closed today.”

Seeing him like this, Mu Ying asked curiously, “What did you snatch up yesterday?”

Wuyaya looked at her gloomily, “1 copper coin, 1 copper coin, 1 copper coin, 1 copper coin, 1 copper coin.”

“Five copper coins, that’s not bad luck,” Mu Ying said.

“!” Wuyaya, incensed, jumped up, “Five red packets!

A whole five red packets!

And all of them just had the guaranteed minimum of 1 copper coin.”

“Uh, that is a bit tragic, but on the flip side, being able to pick out the guaranteed minimum packets, which were relatively few in number, from so many, is also a kind of luck,” Mu Ying comforted him verbally, but she thought to herself, he must really be a Crow, how else could he be so unlucky?

Seeing that he remained unmoved, Mu Ying tempted him, “Come on, let’s exchange new year greetings.

I’ve prepared a new year red packet for you!”

Upon hearing that there were more red packets, Wuyaya immediately perked up, his small wings held in front of his chest as he made a poor excuse for a salute, “Wishing you prosperity, hand over the red packet!”

Mu Ying was satisfied and tossed the small red packet to him.

This small red packet was the same size as the ones from last night, but it felt weighty.

Wuyaya skillfully tore it open.

It was a brand-new silver coin!

The silver-white gleam was so captivating.

Wuyaya held the silver coin in his wings and gave it a kiss, and finally, the sad tale of those 5 copper coins disappeared like smoke.

“This potted vine is a new year’s gift for Grandpa Shom; I’m leaving it here.

Please let him know when he finishes his retreat,” Mu Ying placed the pot by the counter and then prepared to leave.

“Wait a second!” Wuyaya exclaimed before diving beneath the counter, rummaging around, and after much clatter, emerged with a dusty little brocade pouch, “For you, a new year’s gift!”

Mu Ying hadn’t expected a gift for herself, and without being put off by the worn and dusty pouch, she opened it while asking, “What’s inside?”

“These are berry seeds I saved while traveling with Shom.

Since you’re a Druid, they might be of some use to you.

I haven’t even given any to Shom.

Oh, and happy new year!” Wuyaya declared, his head held high, refusing to admit it was because Shom didn’t value them.

“Thank you, I like it very much, happy new year,” Mu Ying said, happily patting Wuyaya on the head.

“Hey!

Don’t touch my head!” Wuyaya fumed, jumping up and down, but Mu Ying had already zipped away with a quick teleport.

The second stop, the Mushroom Man Dungeon.

The Mushroom Man spawn were re-enacting the scene of last night’s red packet snatching for the elders and grown Mushroom Men who hadn’t participated.

“Sigh, I really hope the instance merges soon; I do not want to be alone in it next year!” complained the Mushroom Man Elder as he pulled her aside.

Mu Ying really wanted to say that she knew all too well how they had publicly mocked her in the new year’s play yesterday; whenever she saw posts on the forum about how popular and sold out the play was, she felt uncomfortable all over.

“Happy new year, this is my new year’s gift to you.

It’s a mushroom umbrella I cultivated myself.

This one’s a finished product, and there’s also a small bag of spores.

The mushroom cap provides great shade, so you can go out in the daylight without fear of the sun,” Mu Ying said.

This thing was a byproduct produced during her previous research into luminous plants, in the process of trying to cultivate glowing mushrooms.

The glowing mushrooms failed to cultivate, but she ended up cultivating mushrooms that block out light instead.

Moreover, since these mushrooms don’t have a high demand for magic power, the Mushroom Men, being experts at mushroom cultivation, wouldn’t need to worry about failing to grow them.

This light-blocking mushroom cap is inedible and too small in size, only suitable for the physique of Mushroom Men.

Its only plus is the low dependency on magic power, making it possible for others to cultivate as well.

However, when she successfully cultivated the spores she researched in the Emerald World into reality, nature rewarded her handsomely with Professional Experience points totaling 500, which was even more than what she got from the Lamp Vine.

It has to be said that the reward for cultivating new types of plants is very tempting, but the difficulty is just too great, and success is not guaranteed every time.

The Mushroom Man Clan Chief sent a little youngster to try out the mushroom umbrella, and with it, they could indeed move about in daylight without fear.

Mu Ying had just given them such a wonderful gift for free, and the Mushroom Man Clan Chief was moved beyond words while the other Mushroom Men were very grateful too.

They each presented her with spore samples of fungal plants from their private collections as return gifts.

“Happy New Year!” The Mushroom Men’s voices of thanks rose one after another.

Mu Ying, holding a large spore bag, left the Mushroom Man Dungeon amid their cheerful send-off.

From that moment, she began to have a vague feeling that today’s New Year’s visits might turn out quite different from what she had imagined.

Next, in the Half-Breed Replica, after she delivered a small box containing ten bottles of Easy Fertility Potion, the Half-Breed Clan Chief Ned also gave her a little bag as a gift in return.

“Happy New Year, thank you for your gift.

These are fruit tree seeds a friend from the Elf Clan gave me years ago.

I tried planting them, but they didn’t survive.

Since you are an Elf and a Druid, these seeds are perfect for you,” Half-Breed Clan Chief Ned kindly told her.

It was another youngster, but Mu Ying knew how to care for her, the sole keeper of the Replica.

The gift she gave was obviously thoughtfully chosen, unlike the little ones of her Clan who all ran off to play the previous day, not showing up for the whole day.

In the Mermaid Replica, Mu Ying presented Priestess Granny with a long-lasting lamp shaped like a sea tree vine of coral.

“I love it so much, to see such lifelike flowers at the bottom of the sea, that do not wither, and the sea tree branches are beautiful too,” the Priestess Granny couldn’t put it down, “I’m going to place it beside my shell bed, lest the youngsters get jealous and swipe it!”

As an elder, she already felt embarrassed accepting a gift from a youngster, and she definitely couldn’t let the little one be at a disadvantage!

Even if it wasn’t a Mermaid youngster, a heartfelt youngster, left to grow up alone in this Original World, the Elf Clan must be blind.

From now on, she’s her very own little one!

“You Druids all like to collect various seeds, I’m giving these aquatic plant seeds to you, and this Big Shiny Pearl as well, and the shell bed, shell box...

oh yes, I heard you’ve already acquired an aquatic animal form, would you like a Shell House?

I’ll personally raise it for you, it will take at most twenty years to grow...”

Mu Ying saw her as if she wanted to give away everything she had and waved her hands non-stop, “I’ll just take these seeds, thank you.”

“Don’t be so formal with Granny, when we Mermaid Clan youngsters are born, we always prepare Shell Houses for them,” Priestess Granny said.

Mu Ying joked, “If you give everything to me now, what will you give me when I come to visit next year?

Keep your good stuff, I’ll be coming again next year, no hurry!”

“Alright, alright,” Priestess Granny agreed upon hearing her say this.

Rushed preparations are never as good as those done slowly.
