I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 205 - 205 202 Graduation Trial205: Chapter 202 Graduation Trial 205: Chapter 202 Graduation Trial One week later, the same blessing ceremony as the last year took place, only this time Mu Ying and her two friends stood at the center of the Hexagram.

Amid the chanting of the headmistress and the junior students, Mu Ying felt a gentle Magic Power descend upon her, filling her heart with an unstoppable courage and a reassured certainty about the future, that they would surely become the witches sung about in the songs.

Waving goodbye to the headmistress and junior students, the three of them mounted their brooms and soared into the sky.

“Witch Magic School, farewell.”

Only after they could no longer see the school did they stop.

Mu Ying took out the Space Travel Box and activated its shielding Magic.

The three hurriedly entered, sat around a table, and unrolled their trial scrolls.

This was something every witch received upon graduation, determining their first destination for their trials after graduation.

Inside were simple contents: just a location and a list of local witches.

The requirement of the trial was that a witch must live in the location on the scroll for at least half a year before freely traveling to other places, whether by using Magic or hiding their identity as a human.

These locations were all selected by the Witch Association, places with relatively low hostility towards witches.

With the legacy of predecessors, there were also other settled witches locally.

Overall, for novices, it was a first station with a relatively high margin of error.

Should they stir up significant trouble, there would still be someone to assist, thus avoiding a fatal mishap on their first departure from the forest.

“Mine is Moon Port in Huamei Kingdom,” Windsor said.

Mu Ying recalled the map of the continent.

“Moon Port and Senior Sister Rosie’s island are in the same direction.

She might have visited it; you could contact her in advance to gather some intelligence.”

Seeing her nod and take out the Dingling Flower, she then turned to Lillian and asked, “What about you?”

“Birch Town in the Kingdom of Green Rose,” Lillian sighed, wishing it were a big city where she could truly experience the hustle and bustle of the human world.

Instead, it was just a town.

They had discussed the topic of trial locations many times before.

Mu Ying knew what she was thinking.

“Generally, the trial locations are urban because, in smaller places, the fear of magical power is greater, leading to potentially dangerous situations.

The few exceptions are when a town already has a highly respected witch residing there, making it a friendlier place for witches, actually safer than cities.

If you want to experience city life, the trial rules don’t say you can only stay in your assigned location.

You could go to nearby cities to buy supplies, as long as you don’t stay too long.”

“That makes sense,” Lillian realized.

“I’ll also ask the senior sisters if they know this place.

By the way, where is your location?”

“Canteryala, the capital city of the Rose Kingdom,” Mu Ying unfolded her own parchment scroll.

“The Rose Kingdom is right next to the Witch Forest; your location is closer than ours!” Lillian expressed her envy.

In the Witch’s Book, this kingdom was well-documented as a place where witches known as Fairy Godmothers wielded their Magic.

The current Queen of the Kingdom became so after being noticed by the Prince, with the aid of a witch, despite originally being just a daughter of a minor noble.

The Witch’s Book even suggested, you could pose as a Fairy Godmother, attach yourself to a noble family of the kingdom, nurture their children, and in return, enjoy their generous hospitality and security.

However, those who would do this often enjoy being around children or are witches who excel in Blessing Magic; Mu Ying being assigned here was indeed fitting.

She wasn’t too sure whether she liked children, but it was true that she was skilled in Blessing Magic.

Perhaps that was the reason she had been assigned here.

This year, they had Dingling Flower, so even after leaving school, they wouldn’t be completely in the dark, having seniors who had experienced the outside world to consult.

“Moon Port?

That’s quite close to me, just a one day broom ride to my island.

I occasionally go to Moon Port to shop as well.

Moon Port is bustling and commercially developed; there’s a witch living there in seclusion who makes money.

You like blending perfumes and essential oils, right?

These items are in high demand among human nobles.

You could start a shop and make a tidy sum initially.

With money, everything else becomes easier,” Senior Sister Rosie’s voice transmitted from the Dingling Flower.

Windsor felt her worries lessen upon hearing this and even asked if she could meet a mermaid in Moon Port, seemingly whimsical.

Lillian, on the other hand, learned about Birch Town through Senior Sister Margreta.

“I passed through there last year when I left the forest; I stayed there for one night.

Speaking of which, this town is actually the closest to the Witch Forest.

Remember Redberry Village that we visited before?

That scoundrel, nicknamed ‘Evil Wolf,’ who deceives girls wasn’t acting alone but was part of a gang.

They used to fabricate evidence of the victims being devoured by mad werewolves to cover their tracks.

Later, when the werewolves heard about the incidents of people being eaten, they sent someone to investigate, and a witch who was in good terms with the werewolves joined in.

Together they uncovered the truth, and the true face of this gang was exposed.

Their leader was captured by that witch in Birch Town, but a few underlings escaped.

They then committed more crimes in surrounding remote villages, and the Hungry Wolf of Redberry Village was one of them.

So, in Birch Town, witches and werewolves have a good reputation.

It’s been a long time since those events.

I’m not sure if that witch is still there, but since you got this trial location, there’s a high chance she is still around.”

Lillian looked at her trial parchment scroll and said, “Is it a Black Witch named Sarah?”

“Yes, that’s her.

She’s quite powerful in combat and has an affinity for metals.

You can learn from her when you’re there, and while you’re at it, you can also help me inquire about the werewolves,” Margreta said.

“Are you really that eager to have children?” Lillian said helplessly, truly baffled by her senior sister’s thought process.

“You don’t understand; choosing a quality father for my children requires careful selection.

I’m not interested in love, so it’s better to plan early,” Margreta explained her twisted logic.

Mu Ying also got detailed information about Canteryala from Lucia, which she saw in the Witch Association’s records.

The love story of the Queen and the King from years ago was widely known only in the human world, similar to the Cinderella story Mu Ying knew.

But whether the rumor matched the truth was unclear.

Canteryala was really famous for its Fairy Godmothers, and it was said that only the most gentle and kind-hearted girls could be fortunate enough to receive help from a Fairy Godmother.

A few years ago, a con artist performed a magic trick in public, claiming to be a Fairy Godmother wanting to protect a girl as she grew up, asking only for a little money.

The nobility of the entire Rose Kingdom were stirred, sending various treasures to her.

When she ran away with the treasures, a real witch acting as a Fairy Godmother in Canteryala exposed her, and since then, anyone wishing to impersonate a Fairy Godmother must have a well-known Fairy Godmother’s certification, or they would be deemed as a fraud.
