Which way should the carriage go?” the Guard Commander, who also served as the coachman, was puzzled, truly there was nothing around the lake... Wait, are these grasses moving?

There’s no wind, is there?

The Queen opened the window and said, “Follow the direction these grasses are pointing.”

The Prince, too, curious, stepped out of the carriage and stood by the door, gazing.

He had never met the Fairy Godmother, but he had grown up listening to stories about her.

Fairy Mu Ying stood at the entrance of the Magic Hut, controlling the grass to direct the way.

What the Prince and the Guard Commander saw was the grass pointing them towards a desolate meadow, but in reality, the carriage was heading straight for the grand door of the Magic Hut.

At the moment they neared the door, Mu Ying granted them permission to enter, otherwise, as they approached, they would be veered away by the Magic Hut’s shielding function, unknowingly altering their course.

The Prince and the Guard Commander faced this sudden change, astonishment still etched on their faces.

The King assisted the Queen, who was holding their daughter, down from the carriage.

Today, Mu Ying was not dressed as extravagantly as before, simply donning a plain colored dress.

With the house itself being impressive enough, there was no need to strain herself further.

“Fairy Mu Ying, this is my husband, my son Ferena, and my daughter Chris,” the Queen curtsied towards Mu Ying and then introduced them.

The curtsy was elegantly executed, but Mu Ying, having never learned the etiquettes of the human world, where witches had no concept of such formalities, merely nodded in greeting, “Come on in.”

Mu Ying led them to the living room, which featured a large floor-to-ceiling window, providing a clear view of the outside.

“Let’s observe and make our choice here.

These are some snacks I made myself; you’re welcome to try them.”

Mu Ying treated them as she would any other guest.

“Is this house made using Immortal Law?” asked the Prince curiously.

“You could say that,” Mu Ying responded.

“And the grass that directed us earlier, was that also Immortal Law?” the Prince continued.

Mu Ying nodded reluctantly, regretting her agreement to let the Queen bring the children along.

The Prince, a handsome young man who had perfectly inherited his parents’ good looks and appeared quite pleasant, was somewhat annoying with his endless questions.

Though the Prince was handsome, he was rather talkative.

“Can I learn Immortal Law from you?” the Prince asked again.

“No,” Mu Ying flicked her finger, pushing a teacup slightly towards him, “Have some tea.”

“Ferena, only fairies possess Immortal Law; it’s inherent to them and cannot be learned by others,” the Queen explained.

Prince Ferena finally quieted down a bit, realizing his impoliteness, and began to drink his tea awkwardly.

“Look, another carriage is arriving!” the Guard Commander timely commented, easing the awkwardness.

Everyone turned their gaze towards the window.

Not just one carriage, there were also some people following on foot.

After hurrying over, the situation by the lake was open for all to see; everyone lost sight of their original target.

Some had clearly reached the courtyard, yet strangely veered to the side, completely unaware of the Magic Hut right in front of them.

“They are not real fairies?” the Queen asked, frowning.

Mu Ying nodded.

“In the eyes of my kind, this hut appears as it truly is.”

Right now, many people are aimlessly wandering outside, yet none approached the hut.

“What if there are no real fairies?” the Queen waited anxiously.

“Wow~” the little princess in her arms suddenly cried out.

This reminded Mu Ying, “Let me give her a blessing.”

The Queen’s face lit up with surprise; when her son was born, the godmother had said that fairies who could bless were very rare!

Mu Ying walked up to the Queen, gently tapped her with the Magic Wand, “Bless Xiao Chris to find a suitable Fairy Godmother.”

As her words fell, a soft glow emerged from the tip of the wand and merged into the little princess’s body.

“Suitable?

Why only suitable?

And why not bless her more in other aspects?” the King, who had been silent until then, spoke up.

There were so many better words to use, and yet, there were other things worth blessing like health and happiness; his little princess deserved better.

“Blessings come with a price; this blessing is because I promised the Queen to help her choose a real fairy; she has also paid a price,” Mu Ying said.

She was not lying in this statement.

Curses and blessings are magic of fate.

The more severe the curse, the greater the backlash on the caster, especially when casting curses consecutively, the consequences are severe, and nearly every witch who curses ends up with a poor outcome.

Thus, her Curse Magic was more effective than her Blessing Magic, but she only practiced on some harmless pranks during her learning, all of which were effective.

At that time, the principal had warned her to be cautious in using Curse Magic, especially not to use it consecutively in a short period, because cursing others also meant cursing oneself, and after a curse took effect, the witch would also face a period of misfortune.

For instance, during her practice, she cursed Lillian to wear her shoes on the wrong feet in the morning, which indeed succeeded, but she herself ended up wearing mismatched socks as a result.

Although Blessing Magic generally does not have severe consequences, significant blessings can weaken the witch for a period, particularly those pertaining to long-term aspects of life, affecting her lifespan.

Moreover, if the recipient of such life-altering blessings turns out to be a good person after benefiting from them, it’s fine; but if the recipient turns out to be a villain, the witch’s ability to bless might be reduced or even revoked by fate, unless someone deeply involved with the recipient voluntarily takes on the price of the blessing.

The cost of the blessing ceremony at graduation was borne by the school.

Blessings, curses, and prophesies are ranked among the most powerful and dangerous magics a witch can wield.

Therefore, Mu Ying always carefully controlled the extent of her blessings.

“What would be the price if you were to bless Chris for a life free from worries, with health, happiness, and everything going smoothly?” the King asked.

“Lifespan, at least 10 years,” Mu Ying said.

The King fell silent for a while.

“Fairies have long lifespans; 10 years isn’t that much.

Afterward, I will definitely compensate you with a lot of gold and silver treasures,” he offered.

“Gold and silver treasures are useless to me,” Mu Ying said ungraciously, her impression of this King had dropped more than just a notch or two, “The wealth I currently possess is enough for me to spend for a very long time.

If I want to make money, I can just grow some herbal medicine and sell it, that alone could rival a small kingdom.”

The nobles who own thousands in gold are already considered wealthy, how much could there be in the King’s treasury?

Could he even afford to give her the entire treasury?

Mu Ying twirled a Dingling Flower pinned to her chest, “This flower here, I grow it, a whole plant, fairies can sell it for tens of thousands of gold, and I can grow several in just a few months.”

The guard commander, though wanting to call her bold and irrational, dared not speak; tens of thousands of gold, enough to build a small kingdom—she genuinely had the capability.
