I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 215 - 215 212 In-laws215: Chapter 212: In-laws 215: Chapter 212: In-laws Since that day after talking with Jiu San, Mu Ying had been getting up early and staying up late for half a month, finally managing to apply the Plant Growth spell across the private plantation, the public farm camp, the main campus grounds, and the grazing fields of the breeding camp.

The person in charge of the public farm camp had also been recruited, and they had quite a connection with Mu Ying.

It was the owner of the orchard she met on the road to the seed market in the suburb of Coastal City, a man over thirty, single, an agricultural college graduate passionate about planting, who had been farming for ten years, named Lin Shang.

Aside from that orchard, he also owned a small farm and had studied grain planting, which made him a talent in this field.

Most importantly, he was a level 3 Druid with a Perception Attribute of 12, just like Zheng Jing, and he had the opportunity to advance to levels 5 or 6.

Therefore, the position of Druid that was originally meant to be recruited was also taken up by him, and later two more level 2 Druids applied, whom Mu Ying kept to assist Lin Shang.

However, Lin Shang’s apocalypse experiences were quite fascinating.

During the apocalypse, he had gone to the south to study superior fruit trees and then got stuck there.

Initially, he was in a small camp, but after learning that a Main Territory elevated to Town Level could activate a Transmission Array, he made his way to Feihong Town, planning to save money for transmission back to Coastal.

It was hard to find work in Feihong Town unless you were willing to be worked to the bone for Zhou Hongfei.

Even if he wanted to, as a lone man with no ties, Zhou Hongfei couldn’t get a handle on him and thus didn’t trust him.

So he could only rely on collecting mutant plants in the wild or hunting every day to save money.

Before he could save enough, Zhou Hongfei was suddenly killed by Mu Ying.

Feihong Town was finished, its protective shield lasted only a few days before disappearing, and not long after, the Transmission Array also failed, at which time he was still out in the wild earning money.

Everything had changed by the time he returned.

Transmission was no longer an option; his only choice was to return on his own, but traveling on foot was too difficult, and the longer the journey, the more dangerous it became.

So Lin Shang reluctantly studied the spell for animal conversation, which he wasn’t much interested in, and spent months charming a Running Bull, riding it back just in time for this recruitment.

Yes, a Running Bull, a female one, to be exact; Mu Ying glanced at the empty bull pen in her plantation.

Since Old Yellow happened to see Lin Shang’s Running Bull, Benben, in the territory, he volunteered to go work at the farm for no pay, getting up early and staying late sometimes even not coming home at night.

The honest bull was desperate to find a mate and even learned to negotiate with Gemstone Elves for fruits and vegetables to secretly please Benben.

Mu Ying turned a blind eye to this, but now it seemed no longer feasible.

On the forum, in an inconspicuous post, Lin Shang mentioned that Benben seemed to be pregnant.

She sighed, teleporting with a large basket of fresh fruits and vegetables to the public farm’s bull pen, where Zheng Jing and Liu Luoluo were also present, winking at her when they saw her.

Since Zheng Jing started overseeing the breeding camp where Jumping Rabbits were tamed, her relationship with Liu Luoluo had greatly improved.

One of them fell in love with taming animals, nearly neglecting her cultivation in planting, while the other ventured further down the path of becoming a veterinarian.

Mu Ying would never admit she was the instigator of it all; she had merely offered them a job, but they had expanded it significantly.

Working together, they spent more time with each other, often seen making plans together in various places around the territory.

And Lin Shang turned out to be a burgeoning star of the territory, not having him perform at the Mushroom Man Theater was truly a waste of his talent.

Indeed, the bull pen was bustling with activity.

“Benben, how are you feeling?

Does your stomach hurt?

I’ll slaughter that stinking bull that got my daughter pregnant right now!”

Lin Shang hugged Little Running Bull’s belly and cried out, though not a single tear could be seen, nor any movement.

Meanwhile, Little Running Bull and Old Huang were snuggling together, neck to neck, showing affection, with Little Running Bull impatiently flicking its father’s face with its tail.

“Enough with the acting, I’ve got Little Running Bull’s meals covered, here’s today’s,” Mu Ying dragged the basket of food over.

Lin Shang became serious in a second, “Ahem, you are being too polite, sir.

I will agree to this marriage then.”

“Well, I have built a new house for them at the Breeding Camp that incorporates everything from birthing to nursery to child-rearing, let’s move them over tomorrow,” Mu Ying declared without holding back.

“Right, right, right, I can take care of them,” Zheng Jing’s eyes lit up, as the Jumping Rabbit was not comparable to Running Bull.

Lin Shang was dumbfounded.

Apparently, he had his eyes on the little ones in Little Running Bull’s belly.

“Don’t worry, Zheng Jing will definitely train the little Running Bulls to earn money to support themselves.

Little Running Bull might even be able to support you, its old dad, and the territory will even provide a breeding allowance.

We won’t let it be shortchanged,” Mu Ying assured.

Mu Ying was also working hard for the scale of Running Bulls in the territory.

“That’s acceptable, I don’t care about the calves, but Little Running Bull’s food cannot be lessened.

It loves fruit the most, and after it has babies, it has to come back,” Lin Shang agreed.

After all, he could no longer afford Little Running Bull, who had developed expensive tastes due to the cunning old bull.

And Little Running Bull itself seemed quite happy about being pregnant and having babies.

Mu Ying and Zheng Jing moved Little Running Bull and Old Huang together and Mu Ying was talking to Old Yellow Bull using animal conversation, saying, “From now on, you can take your wife to the plantation to find something to eat, make sure you take care of her.”

“Moo~” Old Yellow Bull called out excitedly.

Zheng Jing gave Mu Ying a thumbs up, “You’re really something.

Now we’ve got a free breeding bull.

Once the number of Running Bulls increases, the territory will have a decent mount.”

“Jumping Rabbits aren’t decent?

Every time I say sitting on a Jumping Rabbit feels like jumping off a building, you say I’m just chickenshit.

Why the change of heart now?” Liu Luoluo said, speechless.

“Uh, I’ve thought it through, Jumping Rabbits should grow some more fur, shearing and selling rabbit fur could support themselves, and they could also be used in a base-jumping entertainment venture.

But as mounts, they are a bit hard on the buttocks,” Zheng Jing chuckled.

Mu Ying patted their shoulders, “Great job on the work, I’ll give you both a big bonus at the end of the year.”

“Thank you, boss.”

“Boss is mighty!”

Liu Luoluo and Zheng Jing hurriedly expressed their gratitude.

Mu Ying waved his hand, “Enough with the acting.

Be normal, don’t imitate Lin Shang.”

“Haha, how big is the bonus?” Liu Luoluo linked arms with her, “If it’s not big enough, we might not accept it.”

“Oh, then I’ll buy some extra red paper in advance and make the bonuses bigger,” Mu Ying said.

Liu Luoluo: “...”

Their lord was good at spotting lucrative opportunities, and all the money-making projects in the territory were her handywork.

Doesn’t that tell you something?

She just didn’t expect her to be so tricky.

Oh, her big bonus!

Zheng Jing shook her head, “Liu Luoluo, are you dumb!”
