I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 225 - 225 222 Undersea Corridor Camp225: Chapter 222: Undersea Corridor Camp 225: Chapter 222: Undersea Corridor Camp Due to a sense of urgency about the future, Mu Ying did not stay in the Mermaid Replica for long, preparing to leave that very day, but before leaving, she still had to build this Mermaid sub-camp.

“What?

Build a market for trading with the humans on land?

Does that mean we can go out and have fun now?”

Priestess Granny told the other mermaids about this.

Everyone immediately began discussing it.

Seeing their excitement, Mu Ying reconsidered her previous judgment; Lily was not the only mermaid with strong curiosity, she was just young and lacked self-control.

The curiosity of the other mermaids was no less intense, they were not homebound, but they were more rational and had lived long enough to have seen a bit of the world before the migration.

But before their migration, they were just a small tribe, and there was not even a Sea Clan market near their residence, let alone one for humans.

“What kind of market should we build?”

“I still have some pearls stored here that could be useful?”

“I have quite a few old corals here!”

...

Each one seemed eager to donate their all, just to build a beautiful market that would attract humans to their locale.

Mu Ying thought that since this place was primarily built for trading between mermaids and humans on land, using a style that mermaids liked seemed more appropriate.

Therefore, she decided to use coral, pearls, and shells as building materials.

The functional design of the blueprint was relatively easy, based on the trade hall in the territory, but a lot of time was spent on the exterior appearance, referencing the architectural style of the mermaids.

Now, it was time to build, and Mu Ying led the way out of the Replica, followed closely by the mermaids.

The most special feature of this camp was that it had to accommodate both humans and mermaids.

Mu Ying achieved this with the protective shield of the Territory.

A particularly elongated camp formed instantly as she envisioned, with the half nearest the Replica gate unseparated by water, and the other half isolated from the sea, like an undersea corridor, half for mermaids and half for humans.

The mermaids pressed against the middle water barrier; some stretched their heads over, some carefully prodded with their hands, and others stretched their tails across.

Next was the market facility she designed.

[Facility: Undersea Trading Corridor]

[Function: Market trading, stall management]

[Scale: Two floors, first floor for mermaid stalls, second floor for human stalls]

[Required materials: Coral trees, Glowing pearls]

[Blueprint transformation requirement: 200]

The functionality of this trading corridor was actually the same as the trading market in the territory, mainly providing rental and automatic management of stalls, but it looked much more magnificent, thanks to the generous contributions of the mermaids.

The trading corridor nearly filled the entire sub-camp, described as two layers but each layer five or six meters high, not cramped at all.

The stalls on the first floor were in the seawater area, and the water-separated area served as walkways for humans.

The second floor’s stalls were in the separated area, and the seawater side was empty because the mermaids swam move, not needing walkways.

The stalls were made of shells, the columns throughout were branches of various colored old coral trees, and many small rice and soybean-sized glowing pearls were embedded everywhere, like little gemstones, reflecting off the coral trees and enhancing their vibrant and enticing colors.

After playing around for a bit, the mermaids started considering what items they would sell.

Some simply brought all the items they did not like very much, looking like they intended to reserve a whole stall.

The mermaid warriors from the Hunting Team also took this opportunity to explore the local sea area using the camp as a hub.

Meanwhile, at the Sky Square in Qingshan Town, a new sub-camp billboard was erected.

“Look, another billboard has just appeared!”

“Lord, you’re moving so fast this time?

You found the coal mine already?”

“Hey, what does it say up there?”

“Bulletin board nine, Sub-camp seven, Undersea Corridor Sub-camp Guidelines, parenthesis...”

“Help, don’t read out the punctuation as well!

You’re killing me!”

...

[Bulletin Board Nine: Sub-camp Seven: Undersea Corridor Sub-camp Guidelines (Provisional)]

[1.

Today, Qingshan Town came to an amicable trade agreement with the Undersea Mermaid Clan, specifically opening this camp as a trade market to facilitate the exchange of goods between sea and land, equipped with many booths, the first floor for the mermaids and the second for the territory residents.]

[2.

The enthusiastic mermaids have already started their stalls, the Transmission Array has been activated, transportation cost: 1 copper coin/per trip]

[3.

Mermaids pursue beautiful items, fond of various shiny, brightly colored objects, have a light taste, enjoy sweet, juicy fruits from the shore.

Those interested in setting up a stall at the Undersea Corridor should select their merchandise carefully, seize the opportunity, and explore the rest on your own]

“Oh my, mermaids, are they what I think they are?”

“Yes, bro, wipe that nosebleed.”

“Do you have any manners?

I’m just heated up!”

“Does this mean, mermaids love beauty and are really rich?”

“Didn’t the Lord indicate that?

Seize the opportunity!

If the mermaids didn’t have money, would we open a trade market and just give the money to them?

From what I see, these Alien Races, they are all rich!”

“A light taste?

How light?

Suddenly, I want to see a mermaid eat chili peppers, does anyone still have dried chili stocks?”

“Bro, here’s your chili pepper, but before you try feeding them, remember to grant me access to your house, it’ll be convenient for me to inherit your belongings later!”

“The Lord is awesome, his diplomatic skills are incredible!

This is the third Alien Race he’s made friends with, right?”

...

Gradually, players were transported to the Undersea Corridor.

“Lord!”

As the players arrived, they saw Mu Ying, who was with the mermaids by the water area, and they all gave her a thumbs up.

Curious, Lily tried to imitate the gesture, “What does this mean?”

“It means ‘awesome,’” Mu Ying said.

She was sorting through the small pearls she had exchanged with the mermaids using fruits.

She intended to grind it into a powder to stabilize the Permanent Magic Potion, so she wasn’t picky about the size or shape of the pearls, but she needed as many as possible.

The mermaids had given her the smaller, less attractive pearls that they didn’t care for.

“Wow, they must really admire you,” Lily also gave Mu Ying a thumbs up, “I think you’re awesome too.”

Mu Ying smiled and patted Lily’s head, “Honestly, I’ve always thought your hair felt nicer to touch than your tail.”

“What, I think the tail feels nicer,” Lily pouted.

Mu Ying packed up the pearls, “I have to go now.

Once I find the coal mine, I’ll come to take you to play in my territory’s lake.

Be careful, learn more from your elders, take good care of yourself, and thanks for helping me out last time.”

“Ah?

You’re leaving already?” Lily felt reluctant, as Mu Ying was the first friend of her age she had met, and though they had been together for less than a day, she liked her very much.

But what last time?

She hurriedly asked aloud.

Mu Ying shook her head silently, then turned into a turtle form, glanced back at her, and swam through the protective shield, heading out.

“It’s you!” Lily pressed her whole body against the protective shield, watching the turtle swim away, murmuring softly, “Why run so fast?

I wanted to touch your turtle back.

Come back soon...”
