Chapter 236 - 236 233 New Year Event236: Chapter 233 New Year Event 236: Chapter 233 New Year Event “Look, there’s a new notice on the bulletin board!”

“What?”

...

Players who had made it a habit to check the bulletin board at Sky Square were drawn to a red paper notice that appeared.

[New Year’s Event]

[Planner: Mu Ying]

[Note: To facilitate participation in the activities, the teleportation function between the Main Territory and the Sub-camps will be free of charge]

“I knew it, our territory definitely had a big event lined up.

The other day the half-breeds secretly recruited a bunch of people, the Mushroom Man Theater was shut down, and there were only a few mermaids left in the Undersea Corridor.

Here it is!”

“Ten to twenty percent off, come to eat, when did Half-Breeds start playing with puns?”

“That must be the players’ doing!”

“New Year’s Mega Show 1?

Are there 2 and 3?

So excited!”

“Can mermaid aesthetics and Xia Country traditional style really mix together?

Does anyone know what the mermaids are preparing?”

“I’ve got a bad feeling about this, haha!”

“Am I the only one who noticed that last event?

It’s planned by the Lord; is she going to give us red envelopes?

Hehe!”

“Look at how grand and lively our Qingshan Town is compared to other territories!”

“Hit up the forums?”

“Definitely!”

...

At some point, it became trendy on the forum to boast about Qingshan Town with Versailles Literature.

“Sharing with everyone the New Year’s activities just out in our Qingshan Town...sigh, just kind of worried, the Lord going bankrupt handing out envelopes, especially with seven or eight thousand people!”

“Look, that gang from Qingshan Town is showing off again!”

“As much as their bragging faces annoy me, I’m still jealous!

Want to see the mermaids and the Half-Breed Miss.

Teleportation Array, when will you reach my house?”

“Worry about what?

If each envelope has a copper coin, your money-loving Lord is being generous; after all, giving out nearly half a gold coin.”

“Hehe, do you guys in your territory receive half a copper coin as a red packet?

Are you still showing off in an ownerless sub-camp?”

“I’m from Lingtian Town, and I’d like to ask if I can get a red packet when I teleport over to join an event?”

“Rich people upstairs, with that spare money, you might as well buy some tasty treats for yourself.”

“We in Lingtian also have discounts and raffle events, why envy others?

Lingtian is much better than before now!”

“But we don’t have mermaids, nor do we have a lantern festival or movies to watch.

The nights are so long, without any events, we can barely make it to midnight—there’s hardly any New Year’s feeling at all.”

“The Lord of Luoxia Village is even planning to spend the New Year in Qingshan Town.

Did we say anything?”

“Those in the Xia Country Region, what does ‘red packet’ mean?

A red package?”

“You could think of it as a gift box wrapped in red upstairs.”

“Wow, doesn’t that make Mu Ying Santa Claus of Qingshan Town?

Does she have a reindeer sleigh?”

While eating and browsing the forum, Mu Ying almost spat out her food.

Santa Claus?

That was some imagination.

Luckily, she discarded her initial plan of secretly distributing red packets on a magic flying carpet, having discovered a new use for the short-range teleportation array instead.

Otherwise, she might have indeed collided with Santa Claus’s routine.

...

New Year’s arrived as scheduled, covered in silver and white with snow everywhere.

Mu Ying also took two days off for herself.

First thing in the morning, she called over all the little animals from her home.

Spending New Year’s as a family meant being together completely.

She had specially ordered New Year outfits for them from Penny’s Cloth Workshop, all using red fabric with various styles of decorations and white fluffy trimmings.

“First is Gungun’s,” Mu Ying took out a red mandarin jacket with buttoned designs and put it on him, then topped it off with a red melon-seed cap.

Gungun was wearing clothes for the first time and was quite fascinated.

His round body stretched out straight, standing up like a human, while his big paws scratched here and touched there.

“Next is Tao Hua’s,” Mu Ying took out a red dress with peach blossom patterns.

Bo He and Iron Bamboo each got red velvet clothes with leaf and bamboo patterns.

“Change into these yourselves.

Today, I’m taking you to the sub-camp for a stroll,” said Mu Ying.

The Gem Fairies, resembling mini humans, also male and female, preferred to change by themselves.

They could conceal their tracks well, making themselves invisible to others.

The three little ones had been working hard managing the plantation, so taking them out for some fun and relaxation was a good idea, especially since the sub-camp was supposed to be quite safe.

“Now it’s your turn,” Mu Ying said to the Sky Wolves, taking out a bunch of clothes, one set for each.

A red mini cap for each, with their individual names written on them, and a matching red outfit.

Last were Old Yellow Bull and Benben, along with their two calves, one male and one female.

Old Yellow Bull and the male calf wore bull-themed ribbon tail decorations, while the female wore cowbell decorations on her horns.

Mu Ying’s Thousand Faces Clothes also turned into the same type of red winter outfit as everyone else’s.

Wearing the same series of outfits, everyone looked festive and adorable; clearly, one big family.

However, there was still one outfit for Shi Yin, which she hadn’t given out yet.

The promised Shi Yin had not shown up even on New Year’s Eve.

Mu Ying had frequently been worriedly looking at the sky lately, wondering if he was alright or if some trouble had prevented him from returning on time.

“Awooo~” The Wolf Pack also howled at the sky, missing Shi Yin.

Mu Ying patted their heads.

“We have to be happy during New Year’s, keep up the good spirits.

Today, we are having a reunion lunch together, and then we will go out to shop in the afternoon!”

“Moo~” Old Huang mooed, a bit embarrassed.

Mu Ying’s animal conversation was switched on, and Old Yellow Bull wanted to take his wife and calves to the public farm to visit Lin Shang.

Mu Ying waved her hand, “Go ahead.

It’s quite pitiful for Lin Shang to be alone!”

Being uncontrollable, the married bull was headed to visit his lonely father-in-law for the New Year, and she couldn’t stop him.

Fortunately, she still had the Wolf Pack, Gungun, and the Gem Fairies for company.
