I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 237 - 237 234 Celebrating the New Year237: Chapter 234 Celebrating the New Year 237: Chapter 234 Celebrating the New Year After dinner, as snowflakes began to drift from the sky, Mu Ying took her fluffy entourage out to cause a stir in the streets.

A bright red procession was quite the spectacle.

She herself transformed into the figure of a White Wolf, dressed in a little red vest and wearing a little red hat, blending in perfectly with the crowd.

Even though the Local People knew it was her, they couldn’t interact with a wolf the way they would with a person, so she could carefreely lead her minions out to play without worrying about maintaining her Lord image.

On the long streets of Half-Breed Camp.

The snow on the roads had been swept to the sides, Half-Breed children were building snowmen by the roadside, and some players had also joined in the fun.

Mu Ying and her Wolf Pack joyously ran down the streets, stepping in the snow and playing around with the snow mounds, having a blast.

Trailing behind was Melon Skin Little Hat·Gungun, moving leisurely with the air of a wealthy landowner.

It had a glittering little bag slung over its body, which contained the activity funds Mu Ying had prepared for everyone’s New Year street outing; Gungun would pick up the tab for everyone’s snacks and drinks and even their play.

This festively dressed fluffy group quickly became the brightest scenery on the streets, bringing smiles to everyone who caught sight of them.

“Haha, Gungun is so cute!” exclaimed a player who was charmed by Gungun’s outfit today.

“Is that really a wolf, not a Husky?” a new player to Qingshan Town asked.

Someone nearby dryly remarked, “The white one leading is the Lord.”

The questioner laughed awkwardly, “Hehe, our Lord seems a bit too lively.

Does the Druid’s Wild Transformation not affect one’s personality?

She was such a gentle girl when I saw her before!”

“Haven’t heard that Druid’s Wild Transformation affects personality, maybe our Lord’s transformation is just special,” another chimed in, sparing the girl’s feelings.

Mu White Wolf Ying and her pack were enjoying themselves immensely.

With their keen wolf noses, they’ve just stood in the middle of the street, raised their heads to sniff, and could tell which house had the best wolf heart food.

Plus, a wolf’s stomach can store a lot of food – eat a big meal, and you’re set for several days without Feeding.

Mu Ying certainly wasn’t going to starve for days, but a wolf’s stomach was much larger than a human’s; even being stuffed was not uncomfortable.

Since the activity funds were all with Gungun, Mu Ying need only order the food, while Gungun would follow behind to pay the bill.

Mu Ying was happy to have it easy.

Gungun felt an exhilarating sense of becoming the Master; it even tried to imitate Mu Ying’s usual way of petting it by attempting to stroke Mu Ying’s wolf head.

Mu Ying dodged with a howl.

Even as a wolf, a girl’s hairstyle must not be messed up!

Gungun: (╯’□’)╯(┴─┴

“Lord Sister is so cool!” Little Tom commented to his buddy Dong Xiaogang after witnessing the scene.

Dong Xiaogang shook his head, “That’s not cool, that’s ridiculous.”

Following behind, Mrs.

Sela, who was strolling with her husband’s arm around hers, twitched the corners of her mouth.

She interacted with players often and understood some of the local vocabulary, deeply feeling that this description couldn’t be more apt.

Li Luoxia and the Luoxia Team were also celebrating the New Year in Qingshan Town.

Li Xihe was somewhat hesitant, “Shouldn’t we go say hi to Sister Mu Ying?”

“Let’s not bother her, we can have our own fun!” Li Luoxia said.

Compared to being with them, friends she could still consider peers, she appeared more at ease and like a child when playing with those animals.

Mu Ying and her companions spent the afternoon at the Half-Breed Camp, their stomachs too stuffed to eat another bite, but evening had not fallen yet, and the lantern festival in the Undersea Corridor had not begun.

“Aw aw (watch the blockbuster)~” Da Hui said.

“Awoo~ (Look!)” the little wolves chimed in.

The Mushroom Man’s plays are all experienced under the influence of the Communication Spore, transmitted through mental connection, depicting visuals and information without language barriers, so they too could understand.

Gun Gun also expressed agreement.

Mu Ying was a million times against it; every time she watched a Mushroom Man play, she felt like digging a hole and burying herself in it.

In the end, she was dragged along anyway, and thankfully, the title of the play was fairly normal: “Qingshan Town New Year Blockbuster 1,” which sounded similar to a documentary and likely wasn’t the plot of a melodramatic online novel.

A group of wolves and a giant panda were neatly seated in the theater.

The “movie” began.

It started off surprisingly normal and realistic.

It commenced from the perspective of the mountain climbing club’s members, a group of young college students heading into the wilderness to climb a mountain, then zombies descended from the skies.

Only after multiple brushes with death did they successfully log into the game, and while fleeing from zombies at night, they stumbled across “Qingshan Camp,” shimmering with fluorescent, rainbow-colored lights amidst the forest.

Seeing this, Mu Ying inwardly scoffed, her aesthetic wasn’t that flashy, was it?

The original gate was actually dotted with specks of glowing green, not nearly as large, nor did it shine so brightly that it caused the trees to clip through each other.

Then it was her turn to appear, perched atop a tree.

Her line went, “You guys go ahead, let me handle this!”

She then leapt down from the tree, wielding a large stick with a kitchen knife tied to it, and started chopping at the zombies as if she were cutting vegetables.

This completely deviated from reality.

She wasn’t that foolish, and who told them to let her handle it?

By then, she was beginning to have a bad feeling and, as expected, the film broadly showcased the major events that had occurred in Qingshan Town that year.

Those events weren’t fictional, but she was portrayed as a saintly figure, jumping out to help whoever was in trouble.

Even her fighting was depicted as punishing the wicked and encouraging the good.

She had no way to argue her point, as each segment clarified its source, originating from those who had personally been involved, like the mountain climbing club for the first segment and the official team for the segment about zombies surrounding the camp.

What she found most incomprehensible was the segment about drawing lots at the territory gate, which credited Old Mao and his lackeys as providers.

However, the development of the territory was well designed, and it helped many players who arrived at Qingshan Town later to review the step-by-step progress of the town’s development.

The confidence in the Lord and territory grew stronger.

At this moment, Mu Ying, carelessly mingled among the wolf pack also watching the film, felt embarrassed.

Even though she was a White Wolf now, watching a film that so highly praised her, and constantly being watched by others, made her feel like her fur was burning and she was sitting on pins and needles.

It was evident that the Mushroom Men had exerted great effort to enhance her reputation and strengthen territorial unity, but she decided to slip away as a sign of respect.

After leaving, she also pondered over herself, wondering if she was being too petty.

Perhaps another Lord might have been secretly pleased to be so glorified and might have seen the significant benefits it brought to the territory.

For instance, during such a grand event as the New Year’s festival, looking back at pre-apocalypse leaders, wouldn’t they deliver a speech, initiate some kind of rally, or integrate themselves with the masses to appear more approachable?

But Mu Ying had no interest whatsoever in such things.

She rarely interacted directly with the local people; if there was an issue, she would only notify them via the bulletin board, never explaining anything in person.

Even with managing the sub-camp, she simply delegated responsibility to those in charge.

She only oversaw the general direction, as well as the productivity and income.

She believed that as long as these two aspects were fine, everything was acceptable.
