I Live on the Land in Global Games

Chapter 204 - 204 201 The Delivery Witch204: Chapter 201 The Delivery Witch 204: Chapter 201 The Delivery Witch Mu Ying and her companions spent the night at Reni’s tavern, and the next morning, the younger students went out to sell things to make money while Lillian and Windsor explored the marketplace to prepare for what they needed after graduation.

Senior Lucia also returned to the Witch Association, located in the mirror space at the bottom of Chunjian Lake, only accessible to witches who have passed the annual recruitment exam and work there.

Mu Ying, with nothing much she needed, stayed behind at Senior Reni’s tavern.

After the morning market ended, Lady Melanie arrived fashionably late and threw two storage rings to Mu Ying, “Everything you ordered is inside.”

Mu Ying awkwardly caught them and restrained herself from checking until she returned to the school.

The two super large storage rings had an internal space the size of a football field and also featured quality-preserving functions, but the items she exchanged only occupied a small corner inside.

The physical conversion price for a storage ring was 2,000 Source Power, which was a lot more economical than converting a backpack from the Square World, after all, it had such a large space!

Converting the magic hut required 3,000 Source Power, plus 1,000 Source Power each for the magic carriage and the flying carpet, and 500 Source Power for the Space Travel Box, spending a total of 6,500 Source Power in one go.

It hurt her wallet considerably.

What was left were items needed for the Emerald World: Portable Medicine Garden, Magic Hut, storage ring, Magic Carriage, Flying Carpet, precious plant seeds, Ancient Potion Recipe Collection, and Magic Wardrobe.

All of these items, except for the precious plant seeds and the Ancient Potion Recipe Collection, needed to be bound with a specific Magic Mark to recognize their owner.

The Portable Medicine Garden appeared to be a wicker carry-on suitcase on the outside, but upon opening, it revealed a 500-square-meter mini-space that mimicked the natural environment of the school’s greenhouse Medicine Field, as per her request.

It was all fertile flat land with distinct seasons, and miraculously, there were natural light and weather changes.

The Magic Hut was a small house of over two hundred square meters that had been fixed with Shrinking Magic.

When held in the hand, it was a palm-sized house model, the default state being a two-story building, its windows showing a living area, dining area, study area, work area, and resting area.

The decor also followed Mu Ying’s request for a refreshing green color scheme.

After branding her personal Magic Mark, she could control the Shrinking Magic on the house to restore it to its original size.

The hut also had magic recognition and shielding functions, making it invisible to creatures without Magic Power, and its appearance could be adjusted at will.

The carriage had a similar appearance adjustment feature, but unlike the hut, it could not change size, and it was magic-powered, not really drawn by horses.

However, its appearance could be tweaked to make it seem horse-drawn.

Both the flying carpet and the magic carriage were equipped with auto-pilot features and, most importantly, came with an updatable detailed map of the Emerald World.

The carpet and carriage weren’t large and had no expanded spaces like the Travel Box and Medicine Garden, but they were perfect when used in conjunction with them.

Lastly, the Magic Wardrobe, despite being called a wardrobe, was actually a fashion album that included the popular garments of all Races from ancient times to the present in the Emerald World, and not only witch garments.

All the clothes inside could be taken out and turned into real garments.

This album was also continuously updated, and if she ever wanted to get updated styles, she could pay the creator of the Magic Wardrobe to update it; however, it didn’t have the defensive features of the Thousand Faces Clothes, catering solely to beauty-loving witches.

Mu Ying bought this so she wouldn’t have to shop for clothes everywhere again.

In the human world, she was accustomed to the convenient Thousand Faces Clothes, and in the Emerald World, since she could afford it, she naturally didn’t want to shortchange herself.

She put all these things into the storage ring, leaving only the Portable Medicine Garden Box, intending to use the remaining few days to transplant the items from her Medicine Field into it, and to shear off a bit of wool from the school’s Vegetable Garden as well.

With these items, she wouldn’t have to worry about the Quality of life after graduation, and she could comfortably travel and look for missions to gather the fragments.

But there was still one last item missing.

She took out the Witch Association’s item list, chose to sell six sets of Double Blossoms, and exchanged them all for money.

Of course, one cannot go traveling without money.

An order popped up on the item list.

“Sale item: Six sets of Double Petal Dingling Flowers (equivalent to 1060 points)

Purchase item: 1000 Gold Coins 600 Silver Coins (equivalent to 1060 points)

Delivery location: (Please fill in)”

Mu Ying wrote “Witch Magic School Tower” as the delivery location.

“Your order has been accepted by delivery witch No.

7, delivery has commenced, current distance: 42 kilometers.”

After filling in the delivery location, the list displayed the delivery witch’s number and the current distance.

Mu Ying seriously suspected that the witch who created this item list was a modern-day time traveler; wasn’t this just like ordering takeout?

But unlike takeout, these deliveries were made by witches on brooms, incredibly fast, covering every world in their service range.

As long as the order was big enough and the money sufficient, no matter in which remote corner one resided, delivery could be made to one’s doorstep.

Mu Ying watched the delivery witch’s position on the list, which stopped moving once it was about a kilometer away, seemingly unable to enter.

She rode her broom to the school’s tree wall to meet her.

“Hey!

I’m here!” a red-haired witch called out, waving at her.

Curious, Mu Ying asked her, “How’s the salary for a delivery witch?”

“For this order, I earn maybe two or three Gold Coins,” said the red-haired witch as she handed over a bag of shrunken Gold Coins and checked the Dingling Flowers that Mu Ying gave her.

Her professionalism was very good, asking no superfluous questions, “The transaction is complete, remember to leave a good rating!”

Seeing her hurry off, the speed of her broom flying far surpassed Mu Ying’s, and she thought that if Lillian ever worried about making a living in the future, this job might be worth considering.

After all, Lillian loves to speed on her broom, and her flying skills are the best among them.

Not to mention, being so close to the Witch Forest, one order could earn her several Gold Coins, much more than Lillian could make from hunting and selling materials.

If it’s a long-distance order, it might even be similar to paid travel.

After returning, Mu Ying mentioned this to Lillian.

Lillian immediately contacted Senior Lucia.

“Delivery witch?

I’ll ask for you,” Lucia quickly returned with an answer, “This position is open all year, but the hire rate isn’t high.

It requires witches with high flying skills, familiar with the world map, strong wilderness survival Experience, and good appraisal ability.

The subjects you need to pass include long-distance flying, crisis event handling, continental situations, and gemstone appraisal.

You can only pass probation after 3 Five Stars ratings.

But the salary is good; you not only earn the delivery fee, but the Association also offers point rewards.

There are quite a few Red Witches in this job.

The next recruitment by the Witch Association is in the next Autumn Month, a year from now.

You can come and take a look then.”

Lillian thought it sounded quite good, and it would give her a chance to check out the human world during the next couple of years, as every witch had to venture into the world outside the forest after graduation for a period of time.
