In the Emerald World, although she mostly spent her time on the road in a carriage, the carriage was laid with soft cushions, and in a corner sat the Space Travel Box and the Portable Medicine Garden.

She lived in the travel box, studied magic and Magic Potions, and cultivated herbal medicine in the Portable Medicine Garden.

The carriage didn’t travel fast, and when the weather was good, she would open the windows and sit inside reading a book, occasionally looking outside.

If she saw any peculiar plants, she would even get out to research them.

The journey was like a spring outing, very comfortable.

Having traveled these days, the weeds along the way finally started to thin, and fresh tracks of carts appeared.

Occasionally, one could see the droppings of cows and sheep in the grass by the roadside.

Mu Ying called up the map of the Magic Carriage and, sure enough, she was nearing Flower Town, the first human town she would pass through on this trip.

It was already some distance from the Witch Forest.

Flower Town was the most western town of the Rose Kingdom, with just small villages beyond it.

Mu Ying leaned against the window, watching the scenery along the way.

Gradually, she began to see farmhouses decorated in clusters of flowers, each surrounded by large flower fields.

The closer to Flower Town, the more flower fields there were, with women and young girls carrying baskets picking flowers among them, while men fertilized the flower fields.

They weren’t of any rare or precious varieties, but such extensive cultivation was still a sight to behold, truly living up to the name of Flower Town.

The town wasn’t large, mostly made of wooden and stone structures, and every house had flowers growing wherever they could be squeezed in.

Regardless of gender or age, everyone wore a fresh flower on their chest.

Indeed, it was a town that loved flowers.

The strange carriage entering the town made everyone stop and look at it, whispering to each other, speculating about the owner’s identity.

Mu Ying had already dyed her hair to a more common human brown, dressing as a young lady from the nobility on this side of the human world.

She wore a small hat decorated with artificial flowers, dressed in a soft yellow tailored dress, with intricate lace trim, silk bows, and small pearls as decorations symbolizing status and wealth.

Actually, Mu Ying overestimated the wealth of rural nobility, the artificial flowers on her hat, although small, were the latest fashion from the Rose Kingdom Capital, Canter; even the young noble ladies of the capital couldn’t necessarily afford such trendy artificial flowers for their hats.

Although the townspeople of Flower Town found it strange that the carriage had no coachman and seemed to have no accompanying servants, after seeing her attire, which was more valuable than even the daughters of the local barons, they didn’t have any more questions.

Perhaps carriages in the big city no longer needed coachmen, or maybe it was fashionable for nobles to travel alone?

Their backwater little place, usually visited only by merchant convoys, was far behind with the news.

As the people of Flower Town observed Mu Ying, she was also observing them.

Looking at their faces, she felt they seemed to be living well, without any thin, refugee-like appearances.

But how should she go about gathering information?

Mu Ying was a bit troubled, as directly asking questions would somewhat break her persona.

She still needed to look for an inn or similar places.

She only spotted a small inn as she walked from one end of the town to the other, it was run-down but clean.

She got off the carriage with her suitcase in hand.

“Miss, are you here to eat or to stay?” A plump woman with a large flower pinned to her head shyly stepped forward to ask.

“To eat, do you have any special dishes?” Mu Ying chose a seat by the window, from where she could see her carriage.

“Our most popular items are flower cakes and Flower Honey Water, which are also specialties of Flower Town.

We often have merchants come to buy them to sell in the Capital City,” the plump woman said.

“Then I’ll have one of each, how much are they?” Mu Ying asked.

“5 copper coins,” the plump woman said.

“Copper coins?” Mu Ying had never come across any mention of copper coins in the witch’s books; among witches, only Gold Coins circulate, even silver coins only appeared when going to the human world, exchanged by witches.

She opened the suitcase, which revealed the suitcase’s actual space.

Inside, she had placed some simple items and a pouch each for silver and Gold Coins.

Mu Ying took out a silver coin from the pouch.

“This is for you.

In addition to paying for the meal, I’d also like to ask you for some information about the Rose Kingdom.

I’ve just arrived and plan to settle in Canteryala.

Can you tell me about it?”

The woman’s timidity and fear dissipated with the sight of the silver coin.

Although it wasn’t a silver coin from the Rose Kingdom, it was still a silver coin, after all.

“Sure, I can guarantee there isn’t a more well-informed person in the whole Flower Town than me.”

“The most significant recent news is the national proclamation to hire a Fairy Godmother for the newborn little princess.

Even Flower Town had Rose Knights come to post the announcement, and I heard we were among the first, even earlier than those towns near the Royal Capital.

The Queen grew up in Flower Town before moving near the Royal Capital, and this is also the home of the fairy godmother.

Some say that Flower Town is a place under the fairy godmother’s care.

A few years ago, many nobles came to our Flower Town in search of the fairy godmother, but without any success, and it’s only in the last two years that their numbers have dwindled.

I never thought the King and Queen would still remember us here in Flower Town!

This event is on a scale that rivals when the King, who was still the Prince at the time, chose his queen, and when the Prince searched the whole country for the girl who could fit the Crystal Shoes.

Even the Prince’s birth didn’t generate this much fanfare.”

Mu Ying confirmed that it was indeed the story of Cinderella, except Cinderella had now become Queen, “Doesn’t the Queen have a Fairy Godmother?

Can’t she help find one?”

“The initial Fairy Godmother left the Royal Palace after arranging the Prince’s marriage to the Thorn Princess and no one has been able to find her since,” the woman said.

“I always feel that the original Fairy Godmother must have returned to Flower Town, there’s something different about this place.”

Mu Ying nodded, “Is the Queen’s childhood home still around?

Can I go see it?”

The woman shook her head, “After the Queen’s birth mother died, she moved with her father to a town near the Royal Capital.

That residence here is long gone, only Nasha’s grave remains, lonely here.

If you want to see it, you should go to the sunny side of the hill outside the town where the wildflowers are thickest, you’ll find her there...

Just remember to bring a bunch of wildflowers, she loved those the most...

Alright, I’ll go make your flower cakes now!”

With that, the woman hastily went to the back, not forgetting to take the silver coin with her.

Mu Ying didn’t have time to stop her; she always felt that this plump woman seemed to have known the Queen’s birth mother, speaking of her with a touch of sorrow.
