Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 149: Chapter 123 AI Artificial Intelligence Clones

As the assistant charged forward, he thought to himself, They’re just two middle school kids. What’s so scary about them? Look how terrified you two are. I’m the brave one here, far stronger than Zhao Rong and the security captain.

With that thought, the assistant, armed with a brick, rushed forward. Confronted by the brick-wielding assistant with his very low cultivation level, the Double Fish Duo immediately struck a strange pose.

Yu Gang stood in front with Yu Hong behind him. One after the other, they shouted, ”Double Fish Duo! Mysterious-rank High-level Martial Technique: Dual Turret Fist!”

With that, Yu Hong punched Yu Gang, who in turn threw a punch that landed squarely on the assistant.

With a loud BANG, the assistant was sent flying before he even had time to react. He ended up dangling from a nearby basketball hoop. Just before losing consciousness, he closed his eyes and thought, Damn it, who would have thought these two weird middle schoolers were so powerful? If I’d known they were this strong, I wouldn’t have tried to be a hero. I should have just stayed back and profited from the sidelines...

With that thought, the assistant passed out.

Seeing the assistant sent flying by a single punch from the Double Fish Duo, the security captain said in horror, ”Zhao Rong, what should we do? Should I go save the assistant first or call the police?”

Zhao Rong waved his hand dismissively. ”It’s fine. The assistant has a habit of playing dead. Don’t worry. We’ll deal with the Double Fish Duo first. There will still be time to get him afterward.”

With that, Zhao Rong stepped forward. He looked at the duo before him and chuckled. ”Listen, kids, your so-called Dual Turret Fist is impressive, but I’d advise you not to stand there like a human pyramid. Otherwise, I might just punch you both into next week.”

Hearing this, Yu Hong turned to Yu Gang with a smirk. ”This little security guard is so arrogant. He really should take a look at himself. A mere guard daring to challenge two postdocs like us? Let’s finish him.”

Yu Gang smiled back at Yu Hong. ”Brother, with our postdoctoral intellect and refined character, taking down a little security guard will be child’s play.”

Hearing the two postdocs look down on his profession, Zhao Rong stepped forward and rebuked them, ”All people are born equal! Do not insult security guards...”

Before Zhao Rong could finish, the Double Fish Duo’s Dual Turret Fist shot toward him. Facing their powerful punch, Zhao Rong performed an agile backflip to dodge. The punch missed him but blew a huge crater in the wall behind him.

Seeing the sheer power of their fists, the security captain said worriedly to Zhao Rong, ”Zhao Rong, let’s run! These two postdocs are no ordinary people. As security guards, we’re definitely no match for them.”

The security captain was about to pull Zhao Rong away, but Zhao Rong reassured him, ”Captain, you go hide for a bit. As a humble security guard, I, Zhao Rong, must fight for the honor of all security guards today!”

As he spoke, Zhao Rong launched a flying kick toward the Double Fish Duo.

Facing the kick, the duo shouted in unison, ”Double Fish Unite!”

Instantly, the two large men seemed to stick together, then fluidly dropped to the ground, narrowly avoiding Zhao Rong’s kick. Although the Double Fish Duo dodged the attack, Wang Chao, who was watching from behind, wasn’t so lucky. With a THUD, Zhao Rong’s foot landed squarely on Wang Chao’s stomach.

Before Wang Chao could react, he was sent flying. He flew straight toward the assistant who had been knocked away earlier. At that moment, the assistant hanging from the basketball hoop was just regaining consciousness. Before he could get his bearings, he saw a man flying toward him. The newly awakened assistant collided with Wang Chao. The impact knocked them both out cold, leaving them hanging together from the basketball hoop.

When Zhao Rong saw his kick had missed the duo but hit Wang Chao instead, he paused, thinking, Doctor, my apologies. If I’d known I was going to hit you, I would’ve held back a little...

Meanwhile, Wang Chao, now hanging from the hoop, had seven ribs broken by Zhao Rong’s kick.

After dodging the kick, the Double Fish Duo immediately launched another attack: the Mysterious-rank Mid-level Martial Technique, Overlapping Arhat Kick. The one in the back, Yu Hong, first kicked Yu Gang, who then fiercely launched his own kick toward Zhao Rong.

As Zhao Rong saw this bizarre move, he dodged and thought to himself, This Double Fish Duo is truly strange. The one in front has to take a hit before they can attack someone else.

Zhao Rong easily dodged their Overlapping Arhat Kick, then immediately unleashed a Mysterious-rank High-level Martial Technique: the Through-the-Mountain Fist. Zhao Rong’s punch was so fast that the Double Fish Duo couldn’t react in time before it struck.

Yu Hong, standing in the back, saw the punch hit Yu Gang but not himself. He roared with laughter. ”You idiot, Zhao Rong! So what if your punch is powerful? You hit my clone, not me! What good is that?”

It turned out that Yu Hong, being a postdoc, had successfully created a clone of himself through experiments. That clone was the other postdoc, Yu Gang, who stood in front of him as part of the Double Fish Duo. Zhao Rong was stunned to realize that one of the men he had just struck was a clone.

After his moment of shock, he smiled, feeling the power of his Through-the-Mountain Fist. ”Yu Hong,” he said, ”logically, you should have put the clone behind you and stood in front yourself.”

Hearing this, Yu Hong laughed boisterously. ”Little security guard, do you think I’m an idiot? If I stood in front, I would have been the one who got hit, not the clone!”

Just as Yu Hong was celebrating that Zhao Rong’s heavy punch had hit the clone instead of him, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, as if he’d been shot. Before Yu Hong could react, with another BANG, he was sent flying by Zhao Rong’s Through-the-Mountain Fist.

Watching Yu Hong fly through the air, Zhao Rong offered a kind reminder, ”Postdoc, so clever, yet so foolish right now. I already told you my martial technique is the Through-the-Mountain Fist. Didn’t you understand what that meant?”

Seeing the man in front was unharmed while the one behind was sent flying, the clone postdoc, Yu Gang, looked at Zhao Rong gleefully. ”Little security guard, although I’m a clone, I’m a clone enhanced with artificial intelligence. Before we came here, I used my supercomputer to calculate that you would use the Through-the-Mountain Fist. That’s why I had Yu Hong stand behind me while I stood in front.”

Zhao Rong was genuinely shocked. He hadn’t expected Yu Hong’s clone to be even smarter than the original. He looked at Yu Gang. ”So because you have an AI, you plan to replace Yu Hong and become the real human.”

Yu Gang nodded. ”Thank you for getting rid of Yu Hong for me. Now, I am the one and only Yu Hong in this world.”

As he spoke, the clone Yu Gang lunged at Zhao Rong, unleashing a Mysterious-rank High-level Martial Technique: the Sky Smashing Elbow. Because the clone Yu Gang possessed a super AI and incredible computational ability, he had already calculated the perfect timing and angle for the attack before even using it. He had even found a flaw in Zhao Rong’s defense.

Thus, when Zhao Rong saw the Sky Smashing Elbow coming straight for his flank, he froze. There was no way to dodge, no way to escape. It felt as if even his Special Abilities were restricted and useless.

At that critical moment, the security captain standing nearby suddenly ripped two springs from a discarded sofa and threw them to Zhao Rong. In the blink of an eye, Zhao Rong caught the springs and snapped them up in front of him. Instantly, Yu Gang’s elbow smashed into the springs and was violently repelled.

Seeing his elbow strike fail and get rebounded by the springs in Zhao Rong’s hands, the clone lamented, ”Damn it! No matter how powerful my AI algorithm is, it can’t predict completely random events!”

As it happened, the recoil sent the clone stumbling right next to the security captain.

Zhao Rong immediately shouted, ”Mysterious-rank High-level Martial Technique: Through-the-Mountain Fist!”

He then threw a punch at Yu Gang. When the punch landed on Yu Gang, the clone just laughed. ”Zhao Rong, your Through-the-Mountain Fist may be powerful, but how can it work without someone in between?”

Finished speaking, Yu Gang laughed heartily, feeling no pain whatsoever.

Facing Yu Gang’s foolish grin, Zhao Rong also laughed. ”Who said I can’t kill you without someone in the middle?”

As he said this, the security captain standing nearby looked down at the fist on his own body. ”Zhao Rong, why did your left fist hit me?”

Zhao Rong was now in a low horse stance, his left fist pressed against the security captain and his right fist against the clone, Yu Gang. He had experienced a flash of genius, innovating the Through-the-Mountain Fist on the spot. Even if there was no one in front of the enemy, as long as there was someone to the side, the technique would still work.

Suddenly, Yu Gang felt his internal organs begin to shatter. He staggered back three steps in agony before collapsing. ”Zhao Rong... you... you can even innovate...”

Zhao Rong smiled. ”Who said my Through-the-Mountain Fist couldn’t kill you without someone in the middle?”

The contrast between the security captain standing nearby and Yu Gang lying on the ground was stark. The captain rubbed his stomach. ”It doesn’t hurt. Not at all. In fact, it feels kind of good...”

But the clone Yu Gang lay on the ground, feeling his organs—heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, intestines—rupturing one by one. As he died in agony, he looked at Zhao Rong and gasped, ”Damn it... no matter how high our clone AI intelligence is... we’re still no match for you humans...”

With his last breath, the clone Yu Gang coughed up blood and died.

Just then, the three who had been sent flying—the assistant, Wang Chao, and Yu Hong—slowly came to. They climbed down from the basketball hoop and walked over.

When Yu Hong saw that Zhao Rong had killed Yu Gang with a single punch, he looked as if he’d just woken from a dream. ”Zhao Rong,” he said in astonishment, ”you’ve saved all of us... all the postdocs at the university!”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong was puzzled. ”What do you mean?”

Yu Hong looked down at the dead clone on the ground, then turned to Zhao Rong. ”Yu Gang, that cunning human, cloned the entire group of postdocs at the university...”

Zhao Rong was completely floored. He glanced at the dead Yu Gang on the ground, then at the living Yu Hong beside him, and thought to himself, So who is the clone and who is the human? Did the original postdocs from the university create these clones? Or did the clones replicate the entire group of postdocs?
