Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 117: Chapter 97: The Ring on the Hand, There is Actually a Space

When everyone rushed into the bar, they saw the assistant lying on the floor, his clothes covered in footprints. Seeing him in such a sorry state, Miss Lili bit her lower lip and said regretfully, ”During the party, we completely forgot about the assistant. He was left lying in the middle of the dance floor, getting trampled over and over again...”

Yu Lan looked at the assistant, who had one shoe trampled off and a trouser leg torn. She gasped. ”My god, there must have been at least a hundred people partying on the dance floor... The assistant was just trampled this way and that...”

Xuelian noticed his face was also covered in footprints. She said with a wince, ”Damn, after being stepped on by everyone like that, I bet if he’s not dead, he’s crippled.”

With that, they all bent down to check the assistant’s injuries. To their surprise, however, the assistant was completely unscathed, without a single wound. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise. The reason the assistant was unharmed, despite being trampled by over a hundred people, was entirely because he had been drugged with a substance called ’Three Steps to Stumble.’

’Three Steps to Stumble’ was a drug that not only caused loss of consciousness and memory but also made the user’s body incredibly soft and elastic. Therefore, with his body now soft and supple, he hadn’t been harmed at all by the violent trampling.

Zhao Rong picked up the assistant and hoisted him onto his shoulder. Having taken ’Three Steps to Stumble,’ the assistant was as limp as a noodle, constantly sliding off and making him impossible to carry properly. Just as a sweating Zhao Rong was wondering how to carry the noodle-like assistant, the man suddenly slipped from his shoulder and vanished.

Seeing a living person vanish before his eyes, Zhao Rong was utterly baffled. He searched everywhere for the assistant, thinking, This is bizarre. How could he just disappear into thin air?

Just as everyone was marveling at the assistant’s mysterious evaporation, he suddenly fell out of the ring on Zhao Rong’s hand. Only then did Zhao Rong fully understand that the ring he wore was actually a pocket dimension.

As Zhao Rong was processing the ring’s mystical properties, the three women also noticed how marvelous it was.

Miss Lili stared at the finely carved, eerily patterned ring on Zhao Rong’s finger and asked, ”Brother Zhao Rong, did you buy this ring on Taobao?”

Zhao Rong glanced at the slightly heavy ring on his hand. ”When I killed that magical beast just now, I got a Demon Crystal and this ring.”

At that moment, Yu Lan came over. She curiously examined the ring on his hand and said, ”Brother Zhao Rong, your ring may look small, but the fact that it can hold a person inside is simply amazing, isn’t it?”

Xuelian was even bolder. ”Brother Zhao Rong, since the assistant could go into the ring and fall out, why don’t we go take a look inside?” With that, Xuelian leaned closer to the ring and tried to climb in.

Just as Zhao Rong was wondering, How can anyone fit into such a small ring?, Xuelian suddenly vanished before his very eyes.

Zhao Rong was stunned. He swallowed hard and exclaimed, ”Holy moly, you can really go inside it!”

Just then, Xuelian’s voice called out from inside the ring, ”Hurry and come in! It’s like a hidden paradise in here, with beautiful mountains, rivers, and scenery.”

Hearing this, before Zhao Rong could even reply, Miss Lili also slipped into the ring. Seeing both Miss Lili and Xuelian go in, Yu Lan looked at Zhao Rong, eager to try. ”Brother Zhao Rong, should you go first, or should I?”

Zhao Rong took the ring off his finger, staring at it in amazement. ”Yu Lan, let’s go in together.”

With that, Zhao Rong and Yu Lan entered the ring together.

Once the four of them were inside, they found themselves in a place that was not just a secluded paradise, but a veritable fairyland. The scenery was as beautiful as a landscape painting. The air was fresher than in New Zealand. The forest was more lush than the Brazilian Amazon rainforest, the waterfalls more captivating than the Huangguoshu Waterfall, and the mountains more treacherous than Mount Hua.

Just as the four of them were immersed in this unexpected world, intoxicated by the fairy-like beauty of the place, a lion’s roar echoed through the air. A magical lion leaped down from a mountain. Seeing the magical lion, the three terrified women immediately hid behind Zhao Rong. To protect them, Zhao Rong instantly drew the Dharma Sword, his Longsword, from within his Storm.

But just as Zhao Rong prepared for battle, the previously terrifying magical lion suddenly became docile, creeping forward and prostrating itself. It rolled around beside Zhao Rong like a pet, acting cute and saying, ”Master, I am your precious pet...”

Hearing a terrifying lion want to be his pet, Zhao Rong gripped the Dharma Sword even tighter. ”You cunning, sly lion,” he said skeptically. ”You’re clearly up to no good. What do you really want?”

The magical lion stuck out its tongue, saying playfully, ”Master, you are the owner of the Magic Ring, which makes you my master.”

Hearing it mention the Magic Ring, Zhao Rong immediately thought of the ring he was wearing. ”Are you saying this ring on my hand is the Magic Ring?”

The magical lion nodded. ”Master, this ring originally belonged to the Lion King of the Demon Beast Mountain. However, it was stolen by a baboon magical beast... After stealing the ring, the baboon fled the Demon Beast Mountain to escape the Lion King’s pursuit and came to the city, taking human form...”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong was stunned. He never imagined such an unassuming ring would have such a backstory. ”Since this ring belonged to the Lion King of the Demon Beast Mountain, doesn’t that make you his pet?”

At this, the magical lion shed two tears. ”The Demon Beast Mountain used to be the Lion King’s domain... But one day, the Tiger King achieved divinity and took the Lion King’s life. So, I am now without a master...”

Hearing that the magical lion before him had no master, Zhao Rong chuckled. ”Since you don’t have a master, I’ll be your master.”

The magical lion was overjoyed. ”Master, you are my master...”

Having accidentally acquired a pet, Zhao Rong said happily, ”What an unexpected bonus...” But then he suddenly began to worry. If I were to keep such a big lion, wouldn’t that be a huge cost?

As if guessing his thoughts, the magical lion said playfully, ”Master, the world inside the Magic Ring is my world. You don’t have to worry about feeding me or cleaning up after me at all... Plus, I can help you fight!”

Hearing that the magical lion could also fight, Zhao Rong was startled. ”You can fight, too?”

At his words, the magical lion stood up tall, thumped its chest, and declared, ”Master, don’t underestimate me. I’m not just cute; I’m a powerful fighter. I’m a level-forty magical beast!”

Hearing that this fawning, cute lion was actually a level-forty magical beast, Zhao Rong’s eyes widened in shock. He looked at the creature and said, ”Holy moly, I never would have guessed. You’re that awesome... For you to follow me, isn’t that a total waste of your talent?”

After speaking, Zhao Rong smiled knowingly. The magical lion rubbed its mane against Zhao Rong’s clothes and said sweetly, ”As long as you summon me, Master, I will come out from the Magic Ring at any time...”

”Summon?” Zhao Rong asked quickly. ”So you’ll come out as soon as I call for you?”

The magical lion shook its head. ”You have to use the summoning chant.”

”A summoning chant?” Zhao Rong asked. ”What is it? Tell me quickly.” As he spoke, he thought to himself, Such a formidable magical beast must have a sophisticated and classy summoning spell. I bet it’ll take some effort to understand and memorize.

But the magical lion said, ”Master, you must remember this. My summoning spell is ’Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo.’”

Hearing that this incredible beast’s summoning spell was ’Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo,’ Zhao Rong was so shocked he fell right on his butt. He gave the magical lion a thumbs-up and said, ”This summoning spell... it has feeling, depth, a story, a certain flair...”

Meanwhile, the three women who had been hiding behind Zhao Rong saw that the magical lion was not only harmless but also incredibly cute. They all came forward to pet it, falling completely in love with it as if it were a small pet.

While Zhao Rong and the three women were playing with the magical lion inside the Magic Ring, the assistant lay forgotten at the bar’s entrance. At that moment, a passing thief noticed him. The thief observed from a distance for a while, realizing the man was completely unattended.

As he stealthily approached the assistant, the thief thought, I’ve been wandering all night, and I finally found a drunk with no one watching him. It looks like I’m going to score big tonight.

With that, he began to search the assistant’s body for money. After a thorough search, he hadn’t found a single coin. Just as the thief was about to give up in disappointment, he felt a wallet at the assistant’s waist. Seeing the wallet, the thief was ecstatic.

As he opened it, he thought, A wallet this fat must have a lot of money in it. Looks like I’m hitting the jackpot tonight!

But when the thief opened the wallet, instead of a large sum of cash, a pile of membership cards and pictures of women fell out. The thief stared at the membership cards, dumbfounded:

Le Fuhao Bath Center Membership Card...

Yiyuan Bath Club Membership Card...

Tianshang Renjian Bathing Center Membership Card...

Looking at all the bathhouse membership cards, the thief cursed under his breath, ”Damn it, I ended up robbing a huge pervert...”

Just as he finished cursing, he noticed the photos that had fallen out of the wallet: Sola Aoi... Maria Ozawa... Yui Hatano...

The thief couldn’t help but gasp. He thought, This drunkard doesn’t just love visiting bathhouses; he also loves looking at... *those*.

At that exact moment, Zhao Rong, Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian suddenly reappeared out of thin air. Faced with four people materializing from nothing, the thief was terrified. He shrieked, ”G-GHOSTS!” and fled for his life.

Zhao Rong, having just emerged from the Magic Ring, was about to put the assistant inside it for easy transport when he received a WeChat message from Tao Hua. Seeing it was from her and noticing it was nearly dawn, he mused, Why would Tao Hua send me a WeChat message at this hour?

He opened the message, but the contents gave him a fright.

Tao Hua’s message read: ”Zhao Rong, come to the Mage’s room at once. The Mage wishes to pass the position of Sect Leader to you...”
