Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 111: Chapter 91 Fantastically Beautiful...

Just as Zhao Rong was lost in his immersive daydream, the Honglangman proprietress suddenly emerged from the grove.

She looked at Zhao Rong and muttered, ”Oh my, what rotten luck. I was just about to head into the grove, and now three beauties and an ugly man show up. Are they also planning to go into the grove to...?”

Seeing the proprietress suddenly emerge, Zhao Rong was stunned. Miss, please, keep going into the grove! Why did you come out?

But before the thought was even complete, he saw his assistant, Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian walking toward him from a short distance away. Zhao Rong was suddenly scared stiff.

Oh no, if these three find out I was with a divorced woman in the grove, I’m done for! No, I have to find a place to hide, and fast, he thought frantically. But where could he hide? If I go into the grove, the proprietress will definitely call me out. But if I run away and leave her here alone, that’s not right either, is it?

Just as Zhao Rong was feeling nervous, fearful, and trapped in a difficult situation, he suddenly spotted a men’s restroom nearby. Thinking fast, he said to the proprietress, ”My lady, I suddenly have a stomach ache. Wait for me a moment, I need to use the restroom.”

With that, he ran toward the restroom.

Seeing Zhao Rong run off, the proprietress smiled to herself. This Zhao Rong must have a crush on me, she thought. Otherwise, why would he abandon his trip to the grove and run off to the restroom to... relieve himself?

At that moment, the assistant and the three women arrived. The assistant’s eagle-like eyes scanned the area, searching for any trace of Zhao Rong. ”Where did that Zhao Rong go on a date with the divorced woman?” he muttered.

Lili, tired from walking, looked at the nearby grove and said, ”No way. Zhao Rong wouldn’t be bold enough to take a woman into the grove on their first meeting, would he? That can’t be right. Zhao Rong isn’t that kind of tasteless, unrefined man.”

Yu Lan wiped the sweat from her forehead. ”Where did Zhao Rong go? Why is he so hard to find? You don’t think this assistant is lying to us, do you?”

Xuelian was also exhausted. ”I’m so tired, I don’t even want to look anymore,” she said. ”I think the assistant must be lying. Zhao Rong definitely isn’t on a date with some divorced woman; he must have gone off to cultivate with Tao Hua.”

Just then, the assistant spotted the proprietress standing near the grove. Since he had never met her before, they were strangers. When he laid eyes on her, he was instantly smitten and couldn’t help but walk closer.

As he approached, he wondered, Whoa, is this woman also a disciple of our True Martial Sect? Compared to Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian—those young girls—this woman is not only more feminine, but she also sparks the imagination.

When Zhao Rong, hiding in the restroom, saw the assistant approaching the proprietress, he couldn’t help but break into a cold sweat. Why is this assistant such a troublemaker? Wherever I have something good going on, he shows up to ruin it! he fumed internally. At the same time, Zhao Rong silently prayed, hoping the assistant wouldn’t try to flirt with the proprietress. Otherwise, he might get exposed.

Just as Zhao Rong was worrying, the assistant started speaking to her. With his eyes fixed on her and practically drooling, he said, ”Hello, beauty. May I ask, are you a disciple of our True Martial Sect?”

Seeing the assistant hitting on the proprietress, Zhao Rong grew even more nervous. He stayed in the restroom, watching the assistant’s every move through the window. Miss, oh miss, please don’t give me away, he pleaded inwardly.

When the proprietress saw the assistant approach to hit on her, she first sized him up from head to toe, then decided he wasn’t worth her time.

”I’m over thirty years old,” she said dismissively. ”How could I possibly be a disciple of your True Martial Sect?”

Hearing that the beautiful woman before him was not a disciple, the assistant grew even bolder. If she were a disciple of the True Martial Sect, I wouldn’t dare be so forward, he thought. After all, a rabbit doesn’t eat the grass near its own burrow. But since she isn’t a disciple, why not give it a shot? Maybe a miracle will happen and something will spark between us.

With that, the assistant took a step forward. Ogling the proprietress’s attractive figure, he said with a lecherous grin, ”Since you’re not a disciple of our True Martial Sect, how about we become friends? I’ll be your guide and give you a day tour of the sect. What do you say?”

As he spoke, he was already fantasizing. First, I’ll treat this beautiful woman to some good food and fun during the day... Then tonight, I’ll take her to a KTV... While we’re singing, we’ll have a few drinks, and then... The thought alone made him grin from ear to ear.

Just as the assistant was lost in his lewd amusement, the proprietress looked at the bearded fellow—who was eighteen but had the face of an eighty-year-old—and said, ”Sorry, someone is already showing me around the True Martial Sect.”

Hearing this, the assistant was stunned. Damn, who’s so good they beat me to it?

He tentatively asked, ”Beauty, which disciple from the True Martial Sect is showing you around?”

When Zhao Rong, hiding in the restroom, heard the assistant trying to fish for information about him, he jumped in shock. Miss, you absolutely cannot tell him it’s me, Zhao Rong, showing you around... Otherwise, if the three beauties find out I not only skipped cultivation but also hit on a divorced woman, I’ll be in deep trouble!

As luck would have it, just as Zhao Rong was worrying, the proprietress blurted out, ”It’s that great hero from your True Martial Sect...”

Before she could finish, Lili suddenly shouted from a distance, ”Assistant, what are you doing? Didn’t you say you were just going to the restroom and would be right over? What’s taking so long?”

Hearing Lili call him, the assistant panicked. He quickly bid farewell to the proprietress and ran toward Lili. As he ran, he thought, Why did Lili have to call me right when that beauty was in the middle of a sentence? She said a great hero from the True Martial Sect was showing her around... The only one here who can be called a great hero is Zhao Rong... Could it be Zhao Rong showing this beautiful woman around?

At this thought, the assistant was startled. Although he guessed right, he still found it unlikely. How could Zhao Rong know such a charming, womanly person in her thirties? So, the assistant followed Lili, continuing his search for Zhao Rong.

When Zhao Rong saw the assistant had left, he breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness Lili called when she did. That was a close call. Otherwise, I would’ve been in real trouble.

Seeing that the assistant and the three women were a good distance away, Zhao Rong slowly emerged from the restroom. Wiping the sweat from his forehead, he looked at the proprietress waiting for him by the grove and said, ”Sorry to keep you waiting. I’ve been a bit constipated lately, so it took a while.”

Hearing this, the proprietress smiled. ”You should eat more bananas.”

Just as they were about to walk on, Zhao Rong suddenly saw Yu Lan running back toward them. Startled, he thought, Damn, why is Yu Lan back again? Looks like I have to hide again.

He turned to the proprietress and said awkwardly, ”Sorry, I was just constipated, but now I suddenly feel like I have diarrhea. Please wait for me again, I need to go back to the restroom.”

Clutching his stomach theatrically, Zhao Rong ran back toward the restroom.

Seeing Zhao Rong alternate between constipation and diarrhea, the proprietress frowned. What’s wrong with young men these days? No self-control at all, she mused. Could it be that I’m so alluring that Zhao Rong can’t resist, so he’s using the bathroom as an excuse to go in there and... take care of business? She chuckled to herself. When he comes out, I’ll have to advise him to exercise some restraint. Too much of that is bad for his health.

Just then, Yu Lan arrived. She immediately demanded of the proprietress, ”Hey, you. Did that bearded man come over to hit on you just now?”

The proprietress looked at the beautiful young woman before her and replied, ”Yes, he just came over and said he wanted to give me a day tour of the True Martial Sect...”

”That assistant was definitely lying!” Yu Lan fumed. ”He said he was going to use the restroom, but he was actually here to flirt!”

Seeing how angry Yu Lan was, the proprietress guessed, ”Beauty, that bearded man must be your husband, right? You really should keep a close eye on him... As someone with life experience, I can tell that a man like your husband is an absolute lecher...”

Hearing this woman call the assistant her husband, Yu Lan was so furious she could have spat blood. ”Don’t be ridiculous! That assistant is so ugly, so sleazy, such a filthy man! I wouldn’t take him if you gave him to me for free! How could he possibly be my husband?” Still not satisfied, she raged, ”I’m telling you, that man is neither my husband nor my boyfriend. He’s just a toilet cleaner!”

The proprietress was taken aback. My goodness, it’s a good thing I kept my distance from that assistant... Otherwise, his stench might have rubbed off on me.

At that exact moment, Zhao Rong, who was hiding in the restroom, overheard the proprietress say that the assistant was Yu Lan’s husband. He couldn’t hold it in any longer and burst out laughing.

As soon as he laughed, Yu Lan heard the familiar sound. She looked toward the restroom in surprise, her eyes filled with suspicion. ”That man who just laughed... why did he sound a bit like Zhao Rong?”
