Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 105: Chapter 88: Make Do with What’s Available, Beat Up Achilles

Zhao Rong walked over, took off his padded cotton hat, and handed it to Lili beside him. ”Here, take this,” he said. ”It may be cold, but this hat really does the trick.” With that, he glanced at the shivering Achilles and his two lackeys, then snorted.

Seeing Zhao Rong in his warm hat and Canada Goose down jacket, Achilles was filled with envy and jealousy. Snot dripped from his frozen nose. ”Zhao Rong, now that you’re here, what are we waiting for?” he said, his voice trembling. ”Come and meet your doom.”

Zhao Rong looked at Achilles, who was shaking uncontrollably after being out in the cold all night. He accepted a cup of hot tea from Yu Lan and said, ”Hold your horses, pal. Let me finish this tea, then we can talk.”

With that, Zhao Rong began slurping the hot beverage. Watching him, Achilles and his two shivering lackeys practically drooled with envy.

Licking his lips, the lackey on the left said, ”Brother Achilles, we can’t go on like this. Why don’t we get a cup of hot tea before we teach Zhao Rong a lesson?”

The lackey on the right added, trying to find solace in the thought, ”Brother Achilles, we’ve been out here freezing all night. We’re hungry and chilled to the bone... Why don’t we find a place to warm up first, and then we can kill Zhao Rong?”

But Achilles, eager for victory, refused them. ”We’ve already waited all night. Can’t you last a few more minutes? Just watch. It’ll only take me a moment to take down Zhao Rong.”

As he spoke, Achilles couldn’t help but let his eyes sweep over the four beautiful women standing next to Zhao Rong, thinking, If I kill Zhao Rong, I’ll take these beauties back to the Wild Wolf Sect and make them my wives.

With that thought, Achilles leaped onto the nearby combat platform. He looked down at Zhao Rong and shouted, ”Zhao Rong, if you have the guts, come up here and let’s fight to the death!”

Seeing Achilles standing on the platform in nothing but shorts and a short-sleeved shirt, his face blue and his lips pale from the biting wind, Zhao Rong chuckled. ”You know, we could have fought on the ground, but you insisted on choosing this combat platform in the freezing wind? Since you’re so stubborn, let’s do it your way. Just don’t complain about the cold.”

With that, Zhao Rong, still wearing his thick, cotton-padded coat, jumped onto the platform.

It was exactly eight in the morning, the time when the disciples of the True Martial Sect made their way to their studies. As they gathered near the entrance, they were shocked to see Zhao Rong on the combat platform, preparing to fight Achilles, the top expert from the Wild Wolf Sect. A murmur went through the crowd. Although Zhao Rong is a legendary figure and a young hero of the True Martial Sect, how can he possibly fight Achilles? The disciples of the Wild Wolf Sect have always been tougher than ours, and Achilles is their number one disciple and strongest expert!

The surrounding students all came to the same conclusion: Zhao Rong was doomed to lose. Some even figured that with Achilles’s level twenty cultivation, he might very well kill Zhao Rong.

Even the gatekeeper came over to intervene. He walked to the edge of the platform and called up to Zhao Rong, ”Zhao Rong, I know you’re our True Martial Sect’s top disciple, but you can’t fight the Wild Wolf Sect’s number one! Don’t you know? Before you came here, our sect’s previous top expert, Zheng Mona Lisa, was killed by Achilles...”

Clearly, even the old gatekeeper thought Zhao Rong’s chances were slim.

When Zhao Rong heard the name Zheng Mona Lisa, he paused and called down to Tao Hua, ”Seriously? Achilles? Zheng Mona Lisa? To be the top expert of a sect, do you have to have a ridiculously weird name?”

Tao Hua nodded emphatically. ”Of course! Zhao Rong, as the most incredible disciple of our True Martial Sect... we’ve actually had a great name picked out for you for a while now.”

Zhao Rong asked hurriedly, ”Oh? What name did you come up with for me?”

”After a big discussion,” Tao Hua said, ”we all agreed that since you’re so cool and stylish, you deserve a very sophisticated name.”

Sophisticated? It must be a good one, then, Zhao Rong thought happily.

Tao Hua looked up at him and announced with great solemnity, ”Zhao Rong, as the top disciple of the True Martial Sect, your title shall be... Zhao Malasky.”

Hearing ”Malasky,” Zhao Rong nearly fainted. He thought wryly, Now that’s a sophisticated title. Unforgettable and absolutely deafening.

Up on the combat platform, Achilles, no longer able to stand the biting wind, struck a White Crane Spreads Its Wings pose. He glared at Zhao Rong and sneered, ”Kid, since I could kill your sect’s top expert, Zheng Mona Lisa, I can kill you too! Take this!”

With that, Achilles unleashed a high-level, yellow-grade Martial Technique: the White Crane Spreads Its Wings Palm.

Although Zhao Rong had reached level nineteen, he had yet to start learning any Cultivation Techniques or Martial Techniques. Therefore, he had no corresponding skill to counter the flashy and dazzling attack. With no other option, Zhao Rong could only retreat.
