Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 119: Chapter 98 Not Being Sect Leader, Go Find Foreign Beauties_2

Upon hearing that the Sect Leader wanted to give Tao Hua to him in marriage, Zhao Rong was instantly dumbfounded.

He looked at the Sect Leader and said, ”Sect Leader, didn’t Tao Hua say you called me over because you wanted to pass the position of Sect Leader to me? Why do you now want to betroth Tao Hua to me?”

Hearing this, the Sect Leader sipped his tea, patted Zhao Rong’s shoulder reassuringly, and said, ”Young man, don’t be afraid. I called you over to do both: to pass the position of Sect Leader to you and to betroth you to Tao Hua.”

Hearing the Sect Leader’s persistent offer, Zhao Rong glanced at Tao Hua. She sat beside him, shy, her face as lovely as a peach blossom. He licked his lips and said, ”Sect Leader, you should really think this over. For an outstanding and beautiful girl like Tao Hua to marry someone like me... it would be a complete waste.”

Listening to Zhao Rong’s humble words, the Sect Leader poured him a cup of tea. ”Zhao Rong, we’ve known each other for a while now. I understand your character and know your virtues. I’m also aware that you are the bodyguard for Miss Lili, Yu Lan, and Xuelian. Moreover, Miss Lili’s father, the Chairman, might also consider marrying her to you. I have considered all of these factors, and I’ve given it a lot of thought.

”The reason I still insist on betrothing Tao Hua to you is that I know that while love can spark on its own, who one marries is never certain. Besides, Tao Hua is just eighteen years old this year. I just want to arrange a verbal betrothal for now. I’m not actually forcing the two of you into a formal engagement.”

Upon hearing the Sect Leader say it was just a verbal agreement, Zhao Rong breathed a sigh of relief.

As long as there’s no formal engagement and no marriage certificate, a verbal agreement is no big deal. Just as the Sect Leader said, a man simply can’t predict who his future wife will be. Perhaps in the future, I might even return to Earth and marry an Earthling.

So, Zhao Rong said to the Sect Leader, ”Sect Leader, since you trust me so much, I’ll tell you the honest truth. Miss Lili’s father, the Chairman, once said that if I got Miss Lili pregnant, he would give her to me in marriage. Not long ago, because I saved Wang Meili, the village beauty, her mother has been insisting I visit their village someday to marry her. And as for Yu Lan and Xuelian, they also...”

Having said this, Zhao Rong found himself in a difficult position. He felt that he was just an ordinary bodyguard, yet now he was faced with a choice between several different women.

Listening to Zhao Rong, the Sect Leader gave him a thumbs-up. ”Young man, only an outstanding man like you would be so popular. It’s perfectly normal for everyone to be fighting over you. This just proves that you are an excellent man, and it would be an honor for any of those girls to marry you.”

After speaking, the Sect Leader, Mage Yizhen, showed Zhao Rong a photo on his phone. ”Zhao Rong, what do you think of this Ukrainian girl? Pretty, isn’t she?”

Zhao Rong looked at the photo of the foreign girl on the phone and said with amazement, ”Sect Leader, this woman is stunning! Is she... forty?”

Hearing Zhao Rong age his girlfriend so drastically, the Sect Leader said, displeased, ”Nonsense! Would an excellent man like me choose such an old woman? Let me tell you, my girlfriend, Christina, just turned twenty.”

When Zhao Rong heard that the fifty-year-old Sect Leader had a twenty-year-old Ukrainian girlfriend, he couldn’t help but give the man a thumbs-up. ”Sect Leader, to live a life like yours... that’s truly living well.”

Upon hearing this, the Sect Leader said joyfully, ”Zhao Rong, I’ve booked a flight for this afternoon from Xijing City to Kyiv, the capital of Ukraine. After I leave, I’m not just handing over the True Martial Sect to you; I’m also entrusting you with my daughter, Tao Hua. You must manage the True Martial Sect well and take good care of my daughter.”

Zhao Rong nodded. ”Sect Leader, go have a great time with your Ukrainian beauty. I’ll manage the True Martial Sect and take good care of your daughter.”

Hearing this, the Sect Leader looked at Zhao Rong with confidence. ”Young man, I believe in you. When I come back next year, I’ll be returning with the son Christina and I will have. By then, Tao Hua will have a little brother.”

Listening to the Sect Leader’s grand plans, Zhao Rong couldn’t help but say with admiration, ”Sect Leader, don’t forget to take your folic acid.”

After the Sect Leader left, Zhao Rong held the great seal of the True Martial Sect in his hands.

Becoming the Sect Leader of the True Martial Sect is this easy? All you need is the Sect’s seal.

Just as Zhao Rong was staring blankly at the seal, Tao Hua reminded him, ”Brother Zhao Rong, you must keep this seal of the True Martial Sect safe. It’s not just any seal.”

Zhao Rong looked at the seal in his hand. Besides being made of crystal and delicately crafted, it didn’t seem to have any other special features. Just as he was wondering what the big deal with the seal was, Tao Hua explained, ”Brother Zhao Rong, a supreme Cultivation Technique is sealed within it, the Heavenly Dragon Elephant Skill. It has nine levels. If you break through all nine, you can shatter the heavens, extinguish the earth, and control the universe.”

Hearing this, Zhao Rong was stunned.

No wonder Mage Erzhen was willing to risk his life to fight for the position of Sect Leader. It was all for the Cultivation Technique inside this seal, the Heavenly Dragon Elephant Skill.

A question immediately formed in Zhao Rong’s mind. He asked Tao Hua, ”Tao Hua, if the Heavenly Dragon Elephant Skill sealed within the great seal is so powerful, why didn’t Sect Leader Yizhen take it out and cultivate it himself? He could have broken through the ninth level and controlled the universe.”

Hearing this, Tao Hua sighed. ”You can only open the seal and retrieve the Heavenly Dragon Elephant Skill for cultivation after reaching level thirty. But my father, Mage Yizhen, he only cultivated to level twenty-nine.”

Zhao Rong was taken aback. He looked at Tao Hua and said, ”He was just one level away from opening the seal and taking out the skill. Why did the Sect Leader suddenly give up?”

Thinking of Christina, Tao Hua said, ”It was all because of that Ukrainian woman, Christina. If it weren’t for her appearance, which completely mesmerized my father, Mage Yizhen... he probably could have cultivated for a while longer, broken through to level thirty, and started practicing the Heavenly Dragon Elephant Skill by now.”

Zhao Rong couldn’t help but sigh. ”Choosing beauty over power... It seems even a grandmaster like the Sect Leader can’t resist a beautiful woman.”

Just then, the gatekeeper rushed in, his expression one of pure panic.

”This is bad! Really bad!” he shouted frantically. ”The Second-in-Command, Mage Erzhen, is charging over with a group of armed men! They’re here to... to steal... the great seal of the True Martial Sect!”
