Peerless Bodyguard of a Stunning Beauty

Chapter 133: Chapter 110: Professor by Day, Secret Scheming

Upon hearing this, Zhao Rong was stunned. He grabbed his assistant by the collar, clenched his fist, and demanded, ”What the hell? Even if my tastes were that bizarre, even if I was starving, I wouldn’t lay a hand on someone like this, would I?”

Unconvinced, Lili questioned him, ”If you didn’t do anything to the assistant, then why is he in pain down there?”

Yu Lan looked at Zhao Rong with disgust. ”Zhao Rong, a man as hideously ugly as the assistant... buying two slabs of pig-head meat from the market would be an upgrade. How could you stoop so low?”

Xuelian said in disbelief, ”Zhao Rong, how could you be a professor by day and a predator by night?”

Facing the accusations of the three beauties, Zhao Rong was stuck in a bitter situation he couldn’t explain. Just as he felt that even jumping into the Yellow River couldn’t clear his name, the assistant glanced at Zhao Rong’s fist, chuckled slyly, and said, ”Actually, this morning, I secretly drank some of the three beauties’ bathwater. It gave me diarrhea, so my butt hurts...”

Hearing that the assistant had actually drunk their bathwater, Zhao Rong immediately spun around and retched a few times. He then shoved the assistant to the ground, cursing, ”You’re so desperate you’ve lost all standards!”

Lili’s eyes widened. ”Assistant, you’re a complete pervert.”

Yu Lan stepped forward and slapped the assistant across the face. ”Of all the things to drink, you chose our bathwater? Aren’t you afraid of getting trichomoniasis?”

Xuelian added, horrified, ”With a pervert like the assistant, if any woman marries him in the future, won’t she have to deal with him...”

While everyone was denouncing the assistant, he just laughed and said, ”Let me just say this: first, my wish came true, and second, I even leveled up. Two birds with one stone!” With that, he clutched his stomach and ran toward the restroom. Seeing the assistant’s perversion, Zhao Rong and the three women all agreed that the guy was a lost cause.

「On the other side」

When Wang Jingang saw that Zhao Rong had successfully broken through to Level 20, he was so scared that he ran back to Second True Mage’s room.

At that moment, Second True Mage had just recovered his vital energy. After taking a Qi-Returning Elixir, he looked at Wang Jingang and said, ”Jingang, look at your pathetic state. What has you so terrified? Can’t you speak slowly?”

After he spoke, Second True Mage thought to himself, That fool Zhao Rong is probably still in the ruined Cultivation Cave, cultivating in seclusion. He’s just drawing water with a bamboo basket—a total waste of effort. A secret smile crept onto his face.

But before his smile could fully form, Wang Jingang said in a panic, ”Master, this is terrible! That kid Zhao Rong not only left the Cultivation Cave, but he also broke through to Level 20!”

Hearing that Zhao Rong had broken through to Level 20, Second True Mage was so frightened he fell off the bed. His hands trembled as he stammered, ”How... That’s impossible! How could a brand-new disciple break through to Level 20 after just one day of seclusion in the Cultivation Cave?”

Seeing Second True Mage’s disbelief, Wang Jingang immediately pulled out his phone and showed him a photo. ”Master, this is the result from when Zhao Rong used the True Qi Tester. Take a look!”

Refusing to believe Zhao Rong could have broken through, Second True Mage took the phone. But when he saw the proof that Zhao Rong had indeed reached Level 20, he was so terrified that he lost control of his bowels. As he changed his pants, he muttered, ”Damn it! This Zhao Rong... what has he ever done to deserve such divine assistance? Breaking through to Level 20 in a single night? This is just inconceivable!”

While Second True Mage was still baffled, Wang Jingang remembered what he had heard about Zhao Rong’s bath and told his master.

Upon hearing the story, Second True Mage had a sudden realization. He exclaimed as if waking from a dream, ”I get it now! Doesn’t Zhao Rong have the Demon Crystal from that baboon magical beast and the Immortal Herbs from the Dragon Cave? He must have successfully concocted the Marrow Cleansing Liquid!”

Hearing the words ”Marrow Cleansing Liquid,” Wang Jingang said in disbelief, ”Master, that kid Zhao Rong is just a low-level Yellow Rank Alchemist. How could he possibly concoct such an incredible liquid upgrade elixir?”

This question puzzled Second True Mage as well. How could Zhao Rong concoct a liquid upgrade elixir that even he, an Earth Rank Alchemist, couldn’t create? Though he found it hard to believe, he had to accept the facts.

Second True Mage thought for a moment, then looked at Wang Jingang’s despondent face and said, ”Don’t worry, disciple. Even if Zhao Rong has broken through to Level 20, I still have a way to kill him. I’ll make his death uglier than a pig’s.”

As he spoke, Second True Mage pointed to the Magic Ring on his finger and chanted a spell. A magical wolf leaped out from the ring.

Staring at the huge, bone-chillingly terrifying magical wolf that had suddenly appeared, Wang Jingang stumbled back three steps and fell to the ground. ”Master, where did you summon a magical wolf from?”

Second True Mage stroked the wolf’s fur and said proudly, ”I bought this magical wolf from the Demon Beast Mountain Range for a hefty sum.”

Wang Jingang immediately began to flatter him. ”Master, with this magical wolf, killing Zhao Rong in the dueling arena will be a piece of cake!”

Second True Mage smiled confidently. ”Of course. I spent half my life’s savings to buy this magical wolf from the Demon Beast Mountain Range. If it can’t even kill Zhao Rong, could it still be called a magical wolf? Would it be worth so much money?”

Hearing this, Wang Jingang gave Second True Mage a thumbs-up. ”Master, it looks like we’re guaranteed to win this duel. Zhao Rong is a dead man.”

Second True Mage chuckled and retracted the magical wolf. ”The magical wolf in my Magic Ring is my hidden trump card. I won’t release it unless it’s a critical moment. Zhao Rong, you just wait and see how you die.”

With that, Second True Mage immediately issued a formal challenge, scheduling a duel with Zhao Rong in the True Martial Gate’s dueling arena in three days.

When Zhao Rong received Second True Mage’s challenge, he was overjoyed. Holding the letter, he laughed and said, ”I’ve finally been waiting for this. The sooner we fight, the sooner I can end him and avoid any complications from delays.”

Seeing Zhao Rong’s relaxed expression, Tao Hua said worriedly, ”Zhao Rong, I never expected Second True Mage to recover so quickly from such serious injuries. He must have taken some expensive elixirs to restore his vitality and health. I’m really worried that you might not be his match in the dueling arena three days from now.”

Hearing Tao Hua’s concern, Zhao Rong said calmly, ”Tao Hua, don’t worry. Even if I can’t beat Second True Mage, I still have this.” He pointed to his Magic Ring. The ring was something he had gotten at the Maple Leaf Bar after unintentionally killing a baboon magical beast.

Looking at the Magic Ring, Tao Hua said with lingering concern, ”Zhao Rong, I know you have a magical lion in your ring, but I’m afraid that during your fight, Second True Mage might also summon some magical beast to fight you.”

Zhao Rong thought for a moment. ”The lion is the king of all beasts. Could Second True Mage really pull out an animal even more formidable than a lion?”

Hearing this, Tao Hua figured he had a point. Although the Dragon Clan was the most powerful, they did not serve humans. In the Demon Beast Mountain Range, the magical lion was undoubtedly one of the most formidable creatures. With that thought, she stopped worrying about Zhao Rong.

News of the duel between Zhao Rong and Second True Mage spread throughout the True Martial Gate, reaching disciples of all levels.

In contrast to Second True Mage’s urgent preparations, Zhao Rong wasn’t the least bit anxious. In the three days leading up to the duel, he spent his time with Lili, Yu Lan, Xuelian, and Tao Hua, either eating grilled meat at roadside stalls, drinking at bars near the True Martial Gate, singing karaoke, or dancing at discos.

Zhao Rong’s nightly escapades and apparent lack of preparation soon reached Second True Mage’s ears. Does this foolish kid really think I’m that easy to beat? the mage thought. Seeing Zhao Rong so lax, Second True Mage couldn’t help but lower his own guard.

However, just when everyone thought Zhao Rong was only fooling around with beautiful women instead of cultivating, training, or preparing for the duel, he was secretly practicing in his room every night. He trained his martial arts, brainstormed tactics with the women, and practiced summoning his magical lion.

Zhao Rong had deliberately created the illusion that he was just leisurely traveling and having fun with his companions. His goal was to deceive Second True Mage—to make him lower his guard, become complacent, and underestimate him. As the mage grew careless, Zhao Rong secretly honed his skills. This elaborate ruse was all so he could play the fool to slay the tiger, killing his opponent in one fell swoop in the dueling arena.
